I had high hopes for this company from seeing photos and reading reviews. Super disappointed with the lack of response after the initial visit. Edgar came out quickly to provide a quote. He took a week or so to reply via email with his estimate. Doing my due diligence, I got some other quotes and decided that I'd go with Edgar to do some of the work he quoted me on. He replied asking about not doing it all and I explained my reasoning but that I may do the rest at a later date. Since I replied to him, I received no response. I followed-up with him via email again and he still has not responded. In the end, it worked out for me as I was able to get my kitchen guy to do the work that I wanted Edgar to do for much less. read more

I've dealt with a lot of different types of contractors over the years. I had Felipe re-stain my cabinets 6 years ago at my old house and I used him again at my new house and once again I was very pleased. what I appreciate about dealing with Felipe is the following: 1) he does quality work. No short cuts 2) he keeps his word on his estimates. If he gives you a quote, you can rest assured at the end of the job, the price is pretty spot on. 3) if he tells you he will be on the job on a specific date or the job will be completed on a specific date, rest assured that he's pretty spot on completing on that day. Had all interior cabinets throughout the whole house refinished by Custom Cabinets. They used to be the common honey oak that is seen in so many houses built around the early 1990's. I was very tired of that dated color but didn't want to get new cabinets for the entire house. Gave Felipe (the father) one of our cabinet doors to see if he could re-stain it in a gray color that I liked from a picture on the internet. He came back with two gorgeous colors (half on top, half on bottom) on the inside of the door, and we were sold by his ability to re-produce the color we wanted and the beauty of the finish. Custom Cabinets did the entire house in phases as we didn't want everything to be in an upheaval all at once. There was a little miscommunication on the scheduling because we didn't realize that Edgar (the son) handled all the scheduling and not Felipe. This was during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays and we had a lot of rain, so a few delays occurred due to the curing time needed for the finish. But Custom Cabinets was very good about communicating with us. We also had them build a new peninsula attached to our current kitchen layout. Another contractor installed new granite countertops, so you can't tell that the peninsula was added after the original kitchen was built. The new hidden hinges installed by Custom Cabinets added a streamlined look to the cabinets. If there was an error made, Felipe and Edgar were prompt about correcting them immediately. It's been nine months since the "remodel" and I LOVE the updated look of the whole house, especially the kitchen! When I was downsizing I wanted to keep my hutch and table with chairs. It had a very dated look and wanted to refinish the entire set. I called several places but Edgar was the best response. We delivered the furniture and worked with Felipe and Edgar on the color of stain for the dining set. They were so helpful and provided a sample of the stain for me to approve. Edgar and Felipe are top notch at their craft!! They stained our entire kitchen cabinets and put new door handles on. It really looks night & day. Beautiful! They also stained our handrail for the stairwell and upstairs hallway, bathroom cabinets and all of the other cabinets throughout the entire house. Rather than going through the hassle and expense of replacing all of our cabinets, Edgar and his team replaced the pealing thermofoil cabinet doors in our kitchen, laundry room, bathrooms and hallways with custom real wood doors.
