I purchased traditional wood flooring from LL Flooring in Lakewood, who in turn recommended Felix Flooring for the installation. I cannot say enough about the service that I received from Felix and his team. From the day that he came in to measure the room and answer my (many many) questions, I knew that I had chosen the right person. In the days leading up the the installation, I had a few questions about what to expect, and Felix got back to me right away. Since LL Flooring was out of the particular style baseboard I needed, I chose to supply those on my own. I texted Felix from Home Depot on a Friday night for a recommendation on product, and he told me not to worry - he would supply the baseboards for me so I didn't have to cut them and attempt to lug them all home. This was NOT in his job description, but he insisted! If you are hesitating even a little about choosing Felix, being able to expect this level of care is one of many reasons you should just go ahead and book. It is unusual to find people who both (a) take immense pride in their craft and (b) are just generally all-around kind and amazing human beings. As for the week of the install, I was once again was blown away by the professionalism of Felix and team. Their work is impeccable, from the floors themselves to the seamless room transitions to the baseboards/moulding. I've worked on many homes in my life, including doing my own floors twice. Felix is a world-class carpenter and his work elevated the look of my home. I also appreciated what I consider a true "white glove" service: the team moved my furniture (including a piano) in and out of the rooms without a single scratch, and they kept the hallways protected and my entire home neat and clean throughout the process. We made an appointment with John (the owner) who came out within a couple of days and was on time. John was very professional and easy to work with. He provided an offer immediately and we told him we wanted to move forward. We provided the deposit and John ordered the LVP. We were leaving on vacation for a week and by the time we got back, it was another week before installation. It was perfect timing as we needed to remove furniture so they could work. We left the larger furniture in each room and the installers move them around as they installed the floor. On installation day, the crew showed up on time and ready to work! They were professional and hard working! They were also courteous and respectful. They did the floating floor over the existing tile and added wood where there was carpet. They explained how the glue would need to dry before we could walk on it, which was very helpful. After the 3rd day, the floors were done and they started on the baseboard and door casings. Jason worked hard to complete all the work, clean up after the install, and the entire project was done in one week. I am so impressed with this crew and Precison's communication with us. We were billed $1,200 without a written change order or signed approval. More flooring was removed than necessary. Our dishwasher was damaged. Technicians made disrespectful comments about our home while working inside it. Then we discovered a post online referencing the exact "four layers" situation at our house. We never gave permission for our property to be shared publicly. When we addressed everything, ownership told us we could pay $1,000 and take our business elsewhere. That response speaks volumes.
