I came to Precision Flooring for LVP after I had a misunderstanding with a contractor about the color of my flooring. Nash greeted us and was very helpful and friendly. There was only one option in the store for the color I was looking for, but it was from a reputable company and had a 50-year warranty! Wow! I was impressed! We made an appointment with John (the owner) who came out within a couple of days and was on time. John was very professional and easy to work with. He provided an offer immediately and we told him we wanted to move forward. We provided the deposit and John ordered the LVP. We were leaving on vacation for a week and by the time we got back, it was another week before installation. It was perfect timing as we needed to remove furniture so they could work. We left the larger furniture in each room and the installers move them around as they installed the floor. On installation day, the crew showed up on time and ready to work! They were professional and hard working! They were also courteous and respectful. They did the floating floor over the existing tile and added wood where there was carpet. They explained how the glue would need to dry before we could walk on it, which was very helpful. After the 3rd day, the floors were done and they started on the baseboard and door casings. Jason worked hard to complete all the work, clean up after the install, and the entire project was done in one week. I am so impressed with this crew and Precison's communication with us. I hired Precision Flooring to replace the flooring in my 2 story 2900 sq ft home with stairs included. I had already had the flooring picked out, Nash was super helpful in helping us get the price and exact name of the LVP wide plank. After that, a John was quick about coming out and getting a quote. We had a couple of weeks before we could schedule due to waiting for our home refinance to complete. During that time, I stated in weekly contact with John in regards to when we would would secure the deposit and when we would like to have the project started. At no time did John say that the date that I'm requesting wouldn't even be available. Once I paid the deposit, I expected to be placed on the books. John sent me to his office manager for payment and when she asked him about finalizing a date, he said he would see about starting the following week. I reminded him that that was not what I was planning for. I needed the following, the first week of March. Hindsight, I received a brushed off response of we'll figure it out once the product shipping is finalized. I call back a few days later, and speak to John about the start date due to my husband AD Navy needs to request time off. John at this time states they have another job for the date I've been requesting. This was annoying considering that since before I paid, there was never a conversation that the date was unavailable. John said he'll reach out to the other job since I needed that March 1st date. From there communication with John just left much to be desired. We wanted to clarify if they would start upstairs or downstairs first to move some things around to make it easier especially since my dad who had a stroke lives with us. I thought starting downstairs made more sense since we had hardwood and tile removal and upstairs was majority carpet. John repeatedly stated that they start upstairs. He said that he'll ask the installers and get back to us. When we didn't receive a phone call back, my husband reaches out the day before we were supposed to begin, and John tells him that since your wife wants us to start downstairs, that's where we'll start. The installers guys were great, they had a ton of people and demo went quickly. Installation had less people but still a pleasant experience. An issue arose with some of the finishing touches. Missing caulking, gaps from cuts, missing quarter round in places there was quarter round. Luckily on the stairs, our installer hadn't finished and was able to add a foot cap to hid the weird cuts on the stairs. There was also a miscommunication between the tiler for our fireplaces and the baseboards. This was able to be fixed by the tiling company. I reached out to Gabe (installer contractor) regarding the quarter round missing and was told they couldn't come right back out but would come out the next week. Next week came and went and nothing. I then reached out to John, he stated that Gave was there and that they would talk and get back to me about when they could come back out. No communication. I reached out again, and spoke to Nash in the office and he stated speak to John and will get back to me again. No contact. Just sad that this is what has happened and I wish I would've known before going with this company. My friends all love my floors (mostly due to the brand and look of the flooring) but I can not recommend them to go with this flooring company. That said, I had a great time getting quotes from Freedom Flooring and Flatout Flooring. They weren't too different pricing wise, I went with Precision due to offering a moisture barrier that seemed nice at the time. Hindsight is always 20/20. I honestly wanted love this company, because the install dude were great. But it's the finishing touches and lack of professional communication that left so much to be desired. read more

Jared, Noah, Kyle, and Austin were our installers and we loved them! They were on time, were super friendly, worked fast, and did an amazing job on our molding and floors. We got luxury vinyl laminate flooring named Tahoe installed everywhere in our house except the kitchen and bathrooms and it's gorgeous. We had 5" bright white molding installed to the entire house too and it really made the floors and paint pop! We loved Nash , he works at the store off Jefferson and let us take a bunch of samples home to make our decision, and precision flooring has the widest variety of flooring to choose from. Gave them one star, since a ZERO is not an option! In looking for carpet we saw that they had a good review rating, so we entered and the guy at the front was friendly. We found some carpet but wanted to think it over. Went back about a week later and asked for samples as well as scheduled an appointment for measuring. Advised by John through the other guy (John was in the office just behind where we were, and he couldn't even get up to chat about the appointment in person. John couldn't do it until the following week since he'd be out of town. Samples were loaded into my car and an appointment was scheduled for the 17th at noon. Day of, no show, so I called after half hour no show and was advised by both John & guy on phone, they don't have any appointments scheduled for "today"! So why would I have your sample boards at my house?? John said he'd come the next day at 4, showing up earlier than scheduled. Measures, saying he'd email the quote. Ten days later, still NO quote...really!! Now why would or should we continue to reach out to them? If they really wanted our business, they should be doing the follow up giving us a quote, right? Such poor customer service that we would NEVER recommend this place, EVER!! Not sure how they have a 4.4 rating... especially if they treat prospective customers this way! They lost out on a $7k to $10k deal! read more

He came as promised and said he would email me the estimate by the end of the day. I never received any estimates from him. I called the store twice to inquire about the estimate. No response. Definitely 5 star service. John was very professional throughout the whole process. We had new tile installed in our downstairs and new carpet installed upstairs. All of the installation crews were efficient and respectful. They worked quickly and always cleaned up really well after themselves. We chose a tile from another store that ended up being a bad batch so we had to re-demo and install a new product and I can't say more about the way John handled everything. He made what could have been a very problematic situation for us as pain free as possible and was very thoughtful and empathetic through the whole thing. We recently had vinyl plank installed in our home by a different business (*not* Precision Flooring) and we had some concerns about it. We were hoping to get the opinion of an independent flooring installer about whether our concerns were valid, and if so, how to best move forward. We called a couple of flooring businesses, and while very polite and sympathetic, they essentially didn't want to agree to come out and give us their thoughts, even though we were happy to pay them for their time. Feeling a bit defeated, we discovered Precision Flooring and called John (the owner). Not only was he gracious enough to spend time speaking with us on the phone, but he then offered to come to our home the next day! He looked at the areas that we were concerned about, gave us his thoughts, and shared with us some ideas about how to move forward. When he was leaving, we tried to pay him for his time and expertise, and also as show of appreciation, but he was adamantly unwilling to take any money. John is an honest and decent person, traits that are becoming harder to come by these days. We regret not having discovered Precision Flooring before hiring someone else, but we won't hesitate to use them in the future. read more

After meeting with Jon and giving us a bid, we decided to go with him. What can I say other that that was the best choice. The Job took 2 weeks the installers were great! Robert the lead installer and helpers were very respectful of our home. They moved all furniture and put it all back. Mind you six bedrooms and several other rooms. They cleaned up every day and left our home in functional after each day of installation. Disappointing. We wanted to take out the bedroom carpets and put down hardwood to match the existing wide plank maple hardwood in the main house. John came and saw the floor then a couple hours later said he'd found a match. He gave us a small sample that seemed like the right color so we decided to proceed. Initially John seemed really helpful but after he got our deposit I had to call 3 or 4 times that following week to find out when they were going to install. A week after that, when the workers finally arrived I realized he'd ordered Acacia, not even the same width, and in an engineered flooring - not even solid. I called John to complain and he offered no solution, except to say that the maple hardwood we had had been "discontinued" and this was the best he could find. Since we'd been living out of suitcases for going on 3 weeks at this point, and they'd already torn up our carpets, we reluctantly agreed to install this wood as it was sort of the same color. Big Mistake. After the shock wore off we realized that the price we'd agreed to pay (over 10K) was for maple hardwood, not engineered Acacia so we complained to them again. But THEN, the worst, after looking online for what the price should be, we realized he'd installed a brand of cheap flooring made in China that had been discontinued at LOWES and Lumber Liquidators for off gassing high levels of Formaldehyde! And was the subject of a class action lawsuit for these cancer causing agents. We complained to John again and at first he tried to deny the issue, but after we showed him the class-action lawsuits and news reports he supplied us with a letter from the manufacturer saying it met CA emissions standards. We sent a sample to a lab in NJ to be tested and if it comes back too high we may have to rip it all out. In the meantime, he threatened to put a lean against our house if we didn't pay him the full amount! Nightmare. I wouldn't recommend them. But the kids who did the install did a good job. They were polite and professional. read more

We love our new vinyl floor. First, we went to a big box store, but we couldn't find anything that we truly liked. The box store also gave us the run around when it came to getting an estimate. We decided to check out an actual flooring store and we ended up at Precision Flooring. The first thing we noticed was that they had way more flooring choices and they all looked SO much better than anything offered at the big box store. And to our surprise it actually cost less than what we were looking at in the box store. We only had to wait a couple of weeks for the job to start, the box store told us it would be a matter of months. The guys did our whole downstairs in just two days, to include new baseboards. The craftsmanship is so much better than our builder grade carpet and baseboards we previously had. We have four dogs and three kids and the floor has held up great to all of their chaos.
