Heidi is amazing. Why would anyone buy a costume when they can come here. So much to choose from! And layers of fun embellishments!

Much to my surprise, my wife's holiday party, this year became a 70's dress up as an option. As much as I ... LOVE ... putting on my suit for the annual holiday party (you missed the eye roll), I thought it would be fun at do something different and go 70's....but where do we start? I looked up a few places on Yelp and we planned a Saturday costume hunt. Our first stop was all we needed. Can you guess where we stopped? We met a wonderful lady, Heidi. She gave us full attention as she sought out options for my wife and I to wear. There were racks and racks of clothing / costumes in the small shop. She seemed to pull out options out of the air. My wife had quite a few options to chose from. A guy, had a few, but Heidi did her magic and put together a costume that was perfect. You get the full experience at Custom Costumes. Once you select your clothing, you get to chose all your accessories (no added costs)...and man, there are MANY accessories to chose from. Heidi is very resourceful too. From a piece of fabric, she created a perfect scarf for my outfit. A necklace didn't fit properly, she added an extension which allowed it to fit perfectly. When all was said and done, we loved our costumes. Our attire got raves throughout the evening. We rocked it! I could go on and on, but I think you get the gist. This place is awesome!! It's not just the end product but the overall experience that make it worth with it. Heidi is such a spark plug of creativity and it really shows in her work, she truly makes you the subject of her art. Oh. My. Goodness. What a find!!!!! Just scored some seriously awesome second hand Halloween costumes for $15 each and had the best Time with the owners/folks working there. They were so helpful. We loved this shop when it was out in Penngrove and are stoked that it is now in Petaluma. Not only do you get a unique costume but you get Heidi's awesome input and accessories. I walked in on a Sunday when the shop should have been closed. i explained my needs to Heidi who was in working on some custom costumes. She dropped what she was doing and fixed me up right away. Perfect costume and good fit pulled out the extensive collection of clothing and props. I'm very happy that we have this store in town. read more
