Gigi is very Eastern European. Dry, no emotion, and no sense of humor. Don't mistake this for rudeness, it's just a cultural thing. What he does have is pride in his work. He will make sure you look your best, and he really does care about his customers. Price is not cheap but well worth it. I'd rather have a $20 shirt with a perfect fit, then a $100 shirt that looks sloppy. Trust me. Take some old clothes that don't fit right and let him do his magic. read more

This shop is awsome. I took my wedding dress in two weeks before my wedding because i had lost weight and needed my dress taken in. Gigi was courteous and helpfull. He made some suggestions about my dress and fitted the dress to my body. I was worried it might be taken in too much and I would be stuck last second with no dress but that didnt happen. My daughter was in need of her brides maid dress altering. We have been here twice before and have never been impressed with the customer service experience but this time he hit an all time low. He was extremely rude and when my daughter asked for suggestions about altering the train he was very short with her and demanding of the number of inches to remove rather than helping her with the decision. My daughter is very quiet and shy and agreed to the alterations even after I advised her not to leave it with him after the way he had treated her. Once we left the building she expressed how upset she was and did not feel good about the length of the train. I marched back in and took the dress back from him. I've been here once before for alterations because of reviews but for the simple job of hemming pants the quality of the work wasn't very good and the tailor was rude. I tried one more time because the location is so close to me but it's almost 25 minutes after they are supposed to be open and the store is still dark. You shouldn't trust your items to someone who will not honor their store hours. Go somewhere else. read more

Great tailor!!! You can tell Gigi knows what he's doing immediately. Don't pay attention to the bad reviews....showing up at closing time, same day rush jobs that takes a bit longer. I've used several tailors in the past and one in particular in the area the past couple years. Once I tried this place and saw how he marked and views the items you bring in, it's quite clear he knows what he's doing. If you need a very expensive or treasured garment tailored, go here. The owner is very skilled. He has a changing room where he'll have you try on your garment and then he'll mark on it with chalk to where he wants to tailor it. If you're getting long jeans/pants or dress tailored, make sure to wear the shoes you'll be wearing with them so he can accurately mark where to hem the garment. I've been here a few times to hem jeans and he charged me $12 each and it took a couple days. I went another time to get a zipper on a mini dress replaced and that was considerably more expensive (around $45 if I recall). He's done a great job every time except once so I took off 1 Star. The one time I wasn't satisfied was when I took in jeans to be hemmed and he gave them back to me with mismatched stitching. I went back to have him redo it and it still ended up being mismatched but close enough where I didn't bother going in again. But other than that he's done a great job every time. I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on an expensive garment. But if you're getting cheap jeans hemmed you could prob get a similar job done cheaper at a dry cleaning/alterations place. Also, I'll add after seeing the other reviews saying the owner is rude, he isn't originally from here (I think from Europe?) so he has an accent so he prob isn't very comfortable with making small talk. He hasn't been super conversational with me but he's never been rude. And for those complaining about his price, if you don't want to pay more for a higher skilled person then you're at the wrong place. read more

My niece needed to alter a strapless prom gown two sizes too big in a matter of days. Running all around town during prom season for a place willing to do the job was a waste of time. We were told at one place it was impossible to alter the dress because of the intricate embroidery. I've been here several times before & each time I've been very pleased with the work. Today I'm especially grateful to of found this place as I needed a pair of jeans hemmed. It was a last minute request and obviously, I understood if it wasn't possible. I had called a few tailors closer to my house and they immediately said they couldn't do same day service. So on a gamble, I decided to just walk in here and ask if they had any time to do a same day jean hem. Much to my surprise, Gigi had no problem at all with my request. All the other times, I've given them adequate time for the tailoring - and I wouldn't normally bring something in last minute, but I was so grateful he was able to help me. I believe there's a small up-charge for same day service, but I am so grateful to be able to get them hemmed before I travel tomorrow. Wonderful shop! read more

I've been here a few times and have been very satisfied with Gigi's work. Now...I feel like I should mention how he went over and beyond to help me in a pinch. My boyfriend often works 6 days a week in OC and doesn't have time to get fitted for his pant alterations. I brought in two pairs to have tapered. He was very kind and helped me figure out the exact inches they should be on the bottom and winged it for me. They came out perfect! He even put back in the 3-stitch pattern and you can't even tell they were altered. Other tailors have turned me away... But not Gigi! read more

The man who does the alterations at this shop is the best I've ever gone to. I used to use another place here in Corona, and they used to be way more expensive. Not to mention, the quality was shoddy in comparison. I've never had a problem with getting any of my clothes altered here. I had multiple pairs of pants tapered, two zippers fixed, and it was all done perfectly and quickly! I showed my parents this shop, and they've gotten (together) 14 pairs of pants hemmed/ tapered and 2 zippers fixed, and they've never had any problems either. Extremely terrible experience here. I came to ask how much and if it was possible to alter the back of a formal high low gown. The top part of the zipper won't close so I needed about an inch more for it to fit. I walked in, attempted to ask, and before I could finish my sentence he said, "you need to show me and I can tell you." I'm instantly pissed off and responded, "maybe if you'd let me finish I'd get to that." I ask to speak to Gigi (since there are so many good reviews) and he says "you're speaking to him." He hangs my dress and I show him the issue, he's clearly rushing and tells me what would need to be done. I asked how much and he tells me it's $55. I need it by Thursday for a wedding and he can get it done so that's good. But do I really want to pay $55 for a minor change on a dress I spent $60 on? Not really. I might as well buy a new dress. As I'm talking to my husband about if I should alter this or just buy a new one, he walks away (my dress is still hanging behind the counter) and pretty much says bye. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE you could ever experience. Even if your work is good and the prices are reasonable, you don't need to be an ass. read more

The owner tailor seem nice person and professional enough to them try. I brought in a pair pants convertables, zip was damage on one side had be replaced. He replaced zipper on wrong side. When I came in, he got pants and was ready pay him. I look at my pants found replaced zipper on wrong side. I pointed it out to him and he looked shocked. Is this stone all the time? Did sub out the work and never check it? I am thinking. So I gave him second chance to redeem him screw up, I thouht. I advised, I pay for new zipper, but the labor you need cover. He aggreed to proceed and I came back three days later and pick up my pants. Zipper replacement was done. When I got home, I check the pants more closely, on both sides he missed stiching the material. It complete half ass work. This must stone or blind because workship unbelievably poor. I just can't believe the great review this guy gets. I heard you can pay people provide great reviews, Yelp doesn't check either. This honor system, I think it rates most part are fake and owner is ASSHOLE. Who ruin my pants! I am fool for giving chance recovery. I LOVE Custom Fit Alterations on Magnolia & Ontario! I had an emergency! My daughter had her first homecoming and high school dance ever and we needed a hem fixed SAME DAY! I ran the dress over between soccer games at Santana Park and desperately asked them if the hem could be done within a few hours. They don't like rush jobs like this and can't guarantee they can always do it, but THEY DID IT for us and I am SO GRATEFUL!
