I spoke to Mundo regarding a rear plastic bumper paint job. What many shops I called and said was a hard job to do but Mundo and his team came through for me and did an amazing job. To top it off car came back fully detailed inside and out. Amazing experience with Mundo and Norman from Custom World Autobody.

Came here to get my aftermarket parts paint matched to my car. Took a couple tries because of some paint imperfections but it came out perfect. Thank you again!

Amazing! Absolutely the best service I've received in a long time!!! Not only did they provide great service, but they helped me through the process of getting my car fixed and made me feel comfortable. This was the first time I've ever been in an accident. So I was very skeptical about taking my car to a body shop, because I'm a woman and we tend to get taken advantage of because we don't know much about cars. But in this case everyone was respectful, honest, and trustworthy. Norman and Mundo went above and beyond. I received my car back on time and I was taken back at how beautiful it looked. Thank you so much Custom World! I appreciate the love and amazing service you provided for me.

    Close up of rust!!!

This is not the place to take your car if you want work that's done correctly and at a fair price. The gentle giant who runs the shop, Norm, was quick to take my $4600 to supposedly remove rust from my car but when the rust came back within a year he gave me the runaround. It took me four visits to try to get a hold of the owner, Mundo, who then pretty much told me that I was out of luck. That they don't guarantee that they will be able to remove rust. They only painted over it so obviously it was always underneath the paint. I asked Mundo why Norm said they would be able to do it and then took my money and he just pretty much said that it was a shot in the dark whether or not their rust repairs hold. Even when they first returned my car and up to this point the finished product has never looked good. The first time I got it back I had to take it back twice because there were unfinished parts and they didn't even buff the paint. It has been a nightmare. I don't know how they have five stars. I'm sure most if not all of them are fake. #AnywhereButCustomWorldAutoBody

The before and after. I was beyond satisfied with the work done!!!

My husband found this body shop on his own, and entrusted me to just drop the car off at my lunch. I said sure especially since they said someone would drive me back to work. Walked in...was attended quickly. The owner Mundo explained everything to me...parts were here...the eta of the car...what they were doing...Signed some forms and I was on my way. Great customer service. They seem pretty busy too (the garage was full of cars being worked on). Will update my review once I get the car back and let everyone know how the job was done. I'm excited. 3 days and counting. Oh yeah...Did I mention they are gonna fix it all in just 3 days. I'm sold! UPDATE: Picked up the car as promised Friday (3 Days later) at 1pm. I was in awe. The car looks brand new!! They did an impeccable job. They also waxed the car for us so it looked even better and they cleaned and vacummed the inside...now that is service for ya!!!

Mundo and Victor are awesome. They really know how to treat their customers and more importantly their cars. I took my Lexus CT200h in after it was hit while parked overnight in west hollywood. The damage wasn't so severe but it definitely stood out like that bulging zit on your nose! It dented and scratched the hood right in the center. I was glad that they use Lexus-approved materials in order to guarantee their work, and that they updated me with pictures throughout the process. As promised it only took them a couple of days to get it done which is awesome. I hope I never have to go back but if something should happen to my Lex's beautiful body again I will absolutely go here for the repairs. :)

I was looking around for someone to fix my car after having been in an accident and needing a custom paint job to match my original. Custom World had glowing reviews and certainly lived up to them on the body work. I first spoke to Mundo, he had me drop off my car and consulted with me for a while. He asked exactly what I thought about the damage and took notes on what needed to be done. He spoke to the insurance company on my behalf and really negotiated to get the work needed done internally as well as externally. The quote never changed and the turnaround time was modestly quoted at only 2 weeks. Due to weather and internal situations, my car did come back in 4 weeks but Mundo and Victor got me in a rental for the entire duration, no questions asked. They did a BEAUTIFUL job on my PT. I almost couldn't recognize the front end. They did a new bumper, fixed the fender bend and scrape, a new headlight AND even cleaned up my other headlight to look as close to the new one as possible. The flame detailing looks perfectly matched to my original which was a big concern. Another big concern was on the chameleon paint. Mundo said originally that the chameleon paint would be hard to match as it is a custom mix and he couldn't guarantee a perfect match but something close but OMG, the paint matched AMAZINGLY. I cannot be happier with Mundo and VIctor's work on the body of my car. They even washed and vacuumed my car prior so it looked flawless inside and out. It looks gorgeous and I will definitely be coming back to fix other dings and paint on my car!

Mundo, Norman & the rest of the team have always taken care of myself & my family. We've been coming to this place for years & they manage to amaze us every time! They're so professional and get straight to the point. I recently took my Silverado to get color matched & Mundo knows I love pink & we were able to get my bow ties a perfect shade of pink! I highly recommend Custom World to anyone who needs work done, you will not be disappointed.

Needed my bumper replaced. Another place said it would take a week so I looked for a closer place that could do it faster. Here it only took 3 days. I am satisfied with the results. They are fair with the prices. Just let them know you're financial situation and they may offer a discount when possible. They even fixed some part that I wasn't aware of for free. Only con was that they opened 30min later because the manager or something was late and the person that was there on time and explained the situation to me had an argument with him (loud enough for my dad and I to hear). But I just take it that he cared that we waited that long. Still unprofessional, but somewhat caring. Still, the quality and the speed they finished the work is topnotch.

Our family's Ford Explorer required a water pump replacement…read more I visited several local auto shops to obtain quotes and was shocked, disappointed, and discouraged at the prices I was being quoted for the work my vehicle required ($5,000-$7,500) Shame on me for not reading Yelp reviews before wasting my time visiting other auto shops. I read the many positive reviews for Hye-Tech Auto Repair and decided to visit them. Upon entering, I was greeted by John (owner) with a friendly, "Welcome, how may I help you?" I explained that my Ford Explorer needed a new water pump and a few other items that other auto shops had advised me would require repair or replacement. While John looked up a few items on the computer to provide me with a quote, he introduced me to his son, Harry, who happened to be in the office. Thirty seconds later, John provided a quote that was $3,500-$4,000 less than the other shops. I could not believe it. John explained that he makes his living and succeeds in his business through repeat customers, and he does not believe in gouging customers for every last penny. He also shared that when he retires, his son Harry will take over the business, and he wants to leave Harry with a solid foundation of loyal repeat customers. It was then that I knew I could trust John and his son Harry. John went on to explain that replacing the water pump on a Ford Explorer was a 10-12 hour job, as it was an internal pump requiring numerous engine parts to be removed to reach it. This was the same thing all the other shops advised me. John suggested that I leave my vehicle, and he would perform a full inspection of the engine and contact me before doing anything to it. I agreed and left my vehicle. The following day, I was contacted by John, who advised me that the water pump did indeed need to be replaced, as it was the source of the constant leaks of the water coolant. I left my vehicle in John's shop for three days. During this time, John or his son, Harry, contacted me numerous times to keep me updated on the progress of my vehicle and also to point out that mechanics had discovered two or three very inexpensive items (under $50.00) which they recommended replacing, which I agreed to have done. All in all, I was and am extremely impressed and satisfied with everything about this shop. I spent much less money to have five different issues repaired on my vehicle at Hye-Tech than what I was quoted to replace my water pump alone by every single shop I visited prior to coming to Hye-Tech. John and Harry are very friendly, honest, and trustworthy. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced, and they offer GREAT customer service and communication. This is my new go-to shop for any issues involving our family vehicles. Thank you, Hye-Tech Auto Repair, for a very positive experience.

It's nice to see you can get quotes at the touch of a button on your phone. This morning, I had time off, so I headed in to get my service done. I did not have an appointment and that did not seem to matter. I arrived first thing in the morning at 8 AM and ask if the service could be done. Harry was an exceptional young man, he took me in with no problems, no questions. He said they could do it this morning. I told him I would have to wait. He had no problem with that either. Prior to bring in the car in this morning, as I said, I used a yelp project and had several people reach out and give me quotes. After looking at all the yelp reviews I decided to give this place a try. I am super happy that I did. This place is a hidden gem, excellence, service, quality, and value for what you receive. There are not very many shops where you could feel comfortable and put your trust in them. As I spent time in the lobby, I was able to see customer service on the phone and customer service entering the facility. Every customer that walked in, seem satisfied and was treated with dignity and respect. I highly recommend this place if you have any automotive questions whatsoever.

Brought my car in, went over some paperwork and was told I'd be contacted once the inspection was complete. Sure enough Matt called me to let me know there were some items found during inspection and which ones needed to be addressed right away. After agreeing to the updated quote they got to work. I came back to the shop prior to being told my car was ready, and I think there may have been a delay in getting parts needed (dropped the car off at 9am, wasn't done until 4pm). Other than that, the quoted price is what I paid, there wasn't any pushing to buy a service that wasn't needed. I will definitely be bringing my car back for the additional work needed.

I had ruled out the upstream O2 sensor, catalytic converter (both new), MAP sensor, and fuel injectors. I explained all of this to Matt before bringing the car in. He assured me they could perform deeper diagnostics with their equipment. After dropping off the car, Matt called and told me they had "confirmed" exactly what I had already told them, and that the next step would be pulling spark plugs--for an additional fee. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. What I don't understand is why I was still charged the full $85 diagnostic fee, plus a $4 hazardous materials fee and $3 shop supply fee. Plugging a car into a diagnostic scanner does not generate any hazardous waste--no fluids are drained, no chemicals are used, and no parts are replaced. There's nothing about a basic scan that would justify a hazardous materials charge. That kind of fee typically applies when disposing of things like oil, coolant, or other regulated waste, none of which occurred here. In the end, I paid $92, wasted time and gas, and learned nothing new. The most concerning part was Matt admitting he didn't even know spark plugs would need to be checked as part of further diagnosis.

PROBLEM: ALIGNMENT ISSUES, CUSTOMER SERVICE, ACCOUNTABILITY…read more When I first tried to leave a review, my account was somehow blocked from posting specifically for RTM, while I could still review other businesses. I contacted Yelp, and by coincidence, the representative I spoke with was also RTM's Yelp rep. He said it was strange that I couldn't post only for RTM. After I explained my situation, he advised me not to leave a review and instead take the matter to small claims court--which I did. During the hearing, the judge seemed to understand my side, but the ruling ultimately favored RTM. Despite being advised not to post this, I'm sharing my experience here because the situation still doesn't sit right with me--especially given Yelp's controversial review practices. On 10/1/25, my rear right adjustable control arm snapped. My car has aftermarket wheels, tires, and suspension components, so a precise alignment is critical to ensure proper fitment without rubbing the fender. I initially went to TM Auto (located across from RTM) for the control arm replacement. After installation, TM took my car to RTM for alignment. I specifically asked them to match the rear right alignment to the rear left, which was set at -2.8 degrees. When I went to pick up my car, I immediately noticed the rear right wheel did not match the rear left. The camber was visibly off. I pointed this out to the technician, but he insisted the alignment was correct and that there were no machine or human errors. After repeated requests, they put the car back on the rack, but instead of rechecking, two additional technicians came out and dismissed my concerns with questionable explanations: "Toyota made the fenders uneven." "Your control arm is made in Taiwan/China--what do you expect?" Despite putting the car back on the rack, they never rechecked the alignment. They simply removed the car and stood by their original claim. With no resolution, I had no choice but to drive the car home. Because the alignment was incorrect, my tires rubbed against the fender the entire way. The next day, I found heat damage, paint cracking, and visible wear on the fender. I came back the next day to talk to Richard (the owner) hoping he would recheck everything, but it was apparent he was "too busy"--despite clearly having time to talk with other customers and then continue working on another car, while ignoring me. I waited outside RTM for over an hour trying to speak with him. When the TM Auto manager asked if he had seen the damage, his response was, "Yeah, so what?"--with no concern at all. After is when I left, and was forced to go to another shop to realign--more driving, more damage done. I used a camber gauge and measured -2.8 degrees on the rear left and -2.0 degrees on the rear right. To confirm, I took the car to my trusted shop, Chewerks in La Habra, where they verified the rear right camber was indeed -2.0 degrees and did not match the left side. Their measurements matched mine exactly. Because RTM refused to recheck or correct their work, this improper alignment caused damage to my car. The rear left side tucks properly, while the rear right sticks out about half an inch, which led directly to the rubbing and damage. I had clear documentation and evidence, but the court still ruled in RTM's favor. I chose not to appeal to avoid spending more time on the matter. A nearby body shop, Cenco Auto Body, quoted over $1,800 to repair the fender (with another shop giving a similar estimate), confirming the extent of the damage. What could have been a simple recheck turned into a costly mistake. Despite everything, RTM did not offer any compensation or attempt to make things right. Seeing RTM's highly rated Yelp profile made their response even more surprising. They're quick to take your money with a smile when things go well, but when issues arise--as in my case--they deny responsibility and make no effort to make things right (In my case, they didn't take money directly, but a receipt was given to TM Auto, and I had to pay TM Auto--which is the same as paying RTM directly). TM Auto went as far as offering RTM to help cover the repair costs, but RTM still refused. TM Auto didn't have to step in for someone else's mistake, yet they still tried--that says everything. Richard (the owner) had my contact information through the small claims process, yet he never made any effort to contact me--even before we went to assigned court date. After what happened, I'm relieved I didn't bring my other cars first--especially since those cars are of higher value. It seems RTM has many satisfied customers, along with a smaller number of unhappy ones. Hopefully, you don't end up in the latter group like me. FWIW: Following the incident, I contacted Hunter to verify when RTM's rack was last calibrated. Abel (rep) advised that its calibration was set to expire later that month. This raises the possibility that their rack may have been out of calibration.
