I had an appointment to get an estimate to repair the frame and some body damage on my 2001 4Runner on March 31st. After two and a half weeks I still have yet to receive an estimate. The worst part is that every time I called them asking about it, they told me they would get to it "that afternoon" or "tomorrow". After 5 phone calls of "we'll get to it tomorrow", I was done. I found this body shop through an ad on offer up for some door panels for sale, the owner of the shop I bought the panels from gave me a quote to re-clear my Seibon carbon fiber hood and trunk. He gave me a great price, it was $350 cheaper then what another shop was going to charge me. This was last early November of 2020 and were in 4/21 and the finished product looks GREAT!! This is an update to the review of Coachcraft. After our post of "disappointed" we received a text from Carlos at Coachcraft apologizing for dropping the ball on contacting us. He offered to provide free removal of scratches, and polish the entire car as a way of apology. I want to give a huge shout out and thank you to Carlos and team for fixing my car. I lease a 2019 Honda Civic , and I was truly bummed when I got into a minor fender. Taillight smashed and visible dent on my bumper. Not a big enough problem to make a fuss about, but also a sore sight on the eyes. I was recommended to take my car to Carlos in Monrovia. I live in Los Angeles proper , but trekking out to Monrovia is 1000% worth it. (Side note for anyone making a trek, his shop is right off the Monrovia Gold Line Station for convenience. Wear a mask and you will be fine, the Gold Line does not get crowded.) He was able to work with my insurance to get it all sorted out and also fix it in a timely manner that worked out with my schedule. When I first brought my car to him to get pictures of the damage taken , he even washed my car because I brought it in super dusty (sorry about that, try to bring in your car as clean as possible so his team can do their work!) Since then, I brought it in for the fix, and left it in his care for about a week. Tail light has been replaced and bumper just like new. Can't wait to wash my car and see it looking fresh again. Pleasant to work with both him and his team on the phone as well. I was at a different auto shop and I asked for a nearby body shop. I was referred to Coachcraft down the street and I popped in on a whim to see if I could talk to a mechanic and ask them to fix a minor problem on my car. Carlos was on his way out to lunch, but when I asked, he offered to delay his lunch and work on my car himself on the spot! I was very surprised, I'm used to being told to wait for these things. Then Carlos went above and beyond, he offered to drive me to a local area to eat and wait, he then made sure that I provide my number so that they could call me when my car was ready. The car was ready within one hour and I had comfortably waited and had lunch. Carlos drove back to pick me up and then showed me the great work he did on the car. When it came time to pay, he charged me what seemed to be a very fair rate for the time he spent working on the car. I couldn't stop thanking Carlos enough. Once again Carlos stole my heart. It's not often I get into accidents or need body work done but when I do I've always come to Carlos at Coachcraft. Years ago I came here because my necklace feel in a small hole inside of my car seat. That necklace meant the world to me because my mother had given it to me. Carlos removed my car seat and got my necklace that was wedged in some small hole. I was willing to pay what ever amount he was going to ask me to pay because that necklace meant so much to me. Coachcraft is by far the best body shop I had ever used, this is even when measured against the most respected body shops in LA that specialized in Ferrari, Porsche ...... They even showed me how the former cut corners in the repair of my Final 50 Jaguar XKR, the one time over the past 25 years that I used one of the latter at my Jaguar Service Dept manager, a trusted patient of mine's recommendation , due to the complexity of damage to the fiberglass body. The family owned business have always done such a good job, not to mention the fair price they give me. I am so enamored with the service I received from them, that even after I moved to Carmel, more than 300 miles away, I still go to them, even at the expense of nights of hotel stay. Funny story. Something on the freeway clipped a piece of my front bumper. When that happened, I had no idea where I would get it repaired. Several months later, I was minding my own business on the street and a white Subaru pulls up next to me and tells me to pull over. So this guy tells me he owns a body shop and works on a lot of Subarus. So the that guy owns Coachcraft and drives a Subaru is named Carlos. This guy was super genuine and friendly right when I met him. He explained to me the best solution considering my budget. I ended up buying a bumper for him to paint. He was able to closely color match my paint. And prices were very good compared to what other places would have wanted. I came in one day looking to get a custom paint job on my aftermarket carbon fiber trunk for my Mitsubishi Evolution X. At first, I was a little hesitant but Carlos, the owner gave me the confidence that the job will be done the way I envisioned it and within a timely manner. Two days passed and the trunk was completed. The instant I saw the trunk I was blown away, it came out far better than I expected.
