went to pick up photos and the photo department had a sign that said you had to wait in line for pick up. Had to proceed to wait in a long line and then wait for them to go retrieve the items. Upon getting back home (30+ min drive) the invitations I had ordered were cut crooked and created an invite that was offset from the white border. Seriously!! Pharmacy didn't call us to let us know they were out of a prescription they were supposed to fill. That was a wasted trip and thought "whatever". On a separate occasion, we called in to make sure they had an OTC product in stock and they told us they did. We went in 20 min later and of course they didn't have it. If I could give zero stars I would! People who are waiting at the pharmacy are often sick or weak. Making someone stand in several lines for almost an hour is absolutely stupid! My poor Mom ordered her meds yesterday. They didn't have what she needed so they had to order it for today. She returned to pick it up and they lost her insurance info so they made her wait in line to reorder it. Then they made her wait in a new line to pay for it. It took forever! If you need a prescription don't ever go to this place unless you are willing to wait at least a full day. Unfortunately this is the closest place for me and my family to fill our prescriptions but this is the most unorganized pharmacy I've ever been to. They will tell you it will be ready in half hour and if you go back in 3 hrs it's still not ready and they honestly could care less. The customer service is garbage and it almost seems like no one even knows what "service" is. I don't get it. But I would never ever recommend to anyone in my life. Absolutely the WORST pharmacy i have ever been to! When my doctor whom i was on the phone with while i walked up said he had left 3 voicemails they STILL did not have any record of the medicine. After i told them nevermind it's ok the staff that worked with me (which was two cause i went in line twice) both rolled their eyes at me and acted like i was an idiot. At the photo place i didn't get my photo for 2 months. When i came in they had no recognition of me having come in before to ask for them. They kept telling me to wait. When i came in for a refund they acted like i was a criminal. They wanted receipts and proof of purchase. Online when you pay i showed them everything i had got sent. They acted like i was scamming them. It took 4 people to figure out what to do for me. I finally got my money back. The lady Pam was so nice and helpful finally someone helped me! The pharmacy however is a different story. Absolutely awful experince! My doctor has ofically pulled all his patients from that pharmacy because they never get the voicemails from doctors and they just must not work together very well. So disorganized. SAVE YOURSELF!!!!! GO TO TARGET UP THE STREET OR ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! I left wanting to cry / yelll / scream and i wasn't alone. This was a great CVS, and they have a Minute Clinic that was really useful and helpful. They were busy, so we had to wait a while, but it was okay, it was worth it. Easy to get to, easy to park, lots of other stores around, well stocked and big store, and handled everything we needed with good customer service. Well done! read more

Never had a problem here. Ya the lines a little long at the pharmacy sometimes. I think a few chairs or a number system for the elderly would be a great idea. But I live near there, got my flu shot there, had to return a $30 item once, get my prescription filled there (when I can't get to Costco where it's the cheapest out of anywhere), and shop there occasionally and have never had a problem. I mean look at the location and amount of traffic they get, along with the people they have to deal with. Yes they could hire a lil more staff or add some comforts, but I've always been treated kindly and will continue to go there. And the pharmacy staff has always been very kind to me and apologetic if there's a wait. Sh*t happens, unfortunately happy customers write reviews much less often than unhappy customers. read more

It's good store overall with helpful staff. One of the cashiers, Constance, is particularly helpful and friendly. I would recommend it, but if you are going to the pharmacy, don't go on Friday afternoons. They can get backed up. Otherwise, you can usually get in and out in less than 10 minutes. Went to pick up a prescription for my newborn after our first pediatric visit and it took them over an hour to receive the prescription, all the while I was calling the pediatrician's office over and over again to get them to resend it, only to find out they sent it in 3 times . When CVS finally did receive it they said they had to call to change the prescription slightly which took another 20 minutes. I understand that things like this happen but the pharmacy staff had no customer service and were completely rude. Having to wait for 30-40 min at 8:30 at night when they said it would be 5 min which is was 10 min but the girls were texting on there phone instead of helping at the register. So it was sitting in the box done but forgot to call my name. Really upsetting specially when the prescription should of been ready the day before. Received a 30% coupon in my wife's name and address. We stopped in to buy several items. At checkout the clerk informed us our CVS card number did not match the coupon. We've been CVS card holders for decades and have no idea why the number mix-up, nor how to correct. She walked 15 feet to ask a manager how to resolve the issue, who did not care to get involved, but the clerk returned without resolving and did ask us if we wanted to buy the items anyway. Listen; this is not a compounding pharmacy - the job is an inventory control clerk - Get the pick-list, find the bottles on the shelf; count the pills; put them in another bottle; put a label on it. The pharmacy is highly disorganized, dysfunctional and riddled with mediocrity in all areas of service. Other than one woman, the staff is disinterested and unengaged except, however, when it comes to ensuring you hearing their complete disinterest in your problems. Electronic prescriptions are treated as a joke and you have to jump back and forth between lines just to help them do their jobs in locating and responding to a week old prescriptions waiting to be filled. HORRIBLE customer service and NO MANAGERS ON DUTY!!!! We had to pick up a prescription for my 92 year old mother. The prescription wasn't ready, it was actually at the Balboa location. Okay, my mother is hard of hearing, so we had to wait for them to transfer the prescription. The blonde female clerk said it would be 30 to 60 minutes, so she said she would text me when it's ready and that was at 10:15am. Mom & I went to grab some coffee and wait. Now it's 11:30am and no text so, I thought I would give them another 15 minutes. It was 11:53 when I initiated the first call. I called EIGHT TIMES!!! First call, I was hung up on. Second call, i was hung up on, not even a hello. The third time, someone answered and said, "Pharmacy, please hold" and they placed me on hold without waiting for a response. They left me on hold 13 minutes and 10 seconds. So, I hang up and call again. Again, a women answers and said "Pharmacy, please hold" and I said "NO!" but she put me on hold before I could finish the hold. So I waited a couple a minutes. I hung up and called the store. Some picks up the phone and immediately hangs up without answering. So, stupid me, I call the store again. This time someone picks up and then proceeds to press the numbers on the phone and then hangs up on me, AGAIN! So, I called back and pressed the number requesting the pharmacist. The same blonde women who helped us answered the phone. Before I asked for the prescription for my mother, I told her how horrible they were in one short sentence. I told her what I wanted and she said, "Oh . . . yes, the prescription is ready." I asked her, who the general manager is, she said, "I don't know, but we have a manager named Caleb and he'll be in about 4." (Well Caleb, you're not doing a very good job). So we go to pick up the medication and it's busy. They have seven people working behind the counter and the phone is ringing off the hook. There are 11 people waiting to drop of their prescription and another dozen waiting in line to pick up theirs. We finally get up to the counter. No hello, no smile, just "name" then birthday. When my mother paid, she received no "thank you" from the clerk or a smile. Just as we are walking away, the clerk said, "have a good one." Is that how you address a 92 year old women. I asked one of the clerks up front to speak to the manager, LOL! She told me there wasn't one right now. The supervisor, Young is at lunch. OMG, he's at lunch during the peak business hour, when people are running in on their lunch break to pick up their prescriptions. So Young, the supervisor wasn't there and Caleb the manager wasn't due in until 4pm. No wonder that place is such a mess. I'm taking my business, my husband's business and my mother's business to Costco. read more

Don't use their pharmacy!!! Go to Savon in the Albertsons in College and Marron. I've always had exceptional service from the pharmacy. CVS hounded me to try their 3 month prescription service to save both time and money. I spent over 30 minutes on the phone with a CVS call center rep giving him all of my RX information doctors names etc. and he said I would receive a call when they were all ready. A week later I started receiving multiple calls a day telling me that my RXs were ready so I went to CVS to pick them up. I waited in line for 15 min only to have the gal at the register tell me I only had one prescription for 30 days. She had no record of the other 8 RXs. I also had to give her the spelling of my last name twice and my date of birth three times before she finally "found me in the system". When I questioned her why I had only one prescription filled for 30 days only she then pointed to the next line (the drop off line) which was also another 15 or 20 minute wait in order to ask somebody why the other prescriptions were not ready for field. She also couldn't bring up one box of envelopes that only cost $1.99 with my prescription order so I then would've had to stand in line again at the register that would be three lines total 15 minutes each. Thank you CVS for royally screwing this up I will not be back in your pharmacy ever if this is how your three-month supply program works. read more

This store has the WORST customer service!!! I never really shop @ CVS for this reason!!! I shop at other drug stores because of the crappy service from cvs! However, I was in the area and this was the closest store to me, I needed a few items and I had lost a brush. I decided to purchase a new one. When I got home a few hours later I had found my old one. So I decided to return what I had purchased! All other places as long as you have your receipt will return the item! Not this location! Just came from CVS in Carlsbad. Best pharmacy experience​ ever. Had a prescription the MD wrote for a discontinued drug. The Tech told the pharmacist who immediately​ called the hospital and got the MD to issue a new order. The electronic replacement prescription came immediately. We waited a few minutes while it was prepared and they updated us that it was almost done. They cared! So used to pharmacies being so busy and chaotic. This was a smooth, well run operation. This pharmacy operates under the most ridiculously unknowledgeable pharmacist I've ever dealt with! I work in healthcare and CVS has a bad reputation with us, but I never thought it would get to the point where I'd have to transfer my own prescriptions elsewhere. I have fought with the pharmacist himself more than a few times regarding coverage of my prescriptions, which I deal with ALL day at work (and therefore I am positive that they are covered by my insurance). It always works out in the end, but I'm sick of the hassle it takes to get there. I feel bad for the rating because a few of the other people working here are wonderful, but overall, I just find CVS to be incredibly behind the times as far as insurances and their filling procedure (I have had prescriptions sent over electronically that just sit in an electronic pile and are only filled once I get there and inquire about it). Off to Walmart or Target my prescriptions go! read more

I am writing this because this location has the absolute worst staff. I am truly appalled with how the Pharmacy staff treats customers. Karla is the absolute worst person to interact with. I called with questions on a medication for my 5 month old (that was sent over there) and she was so dismissive and refused to put a pharmacist on the phone with me. I just don't understand how the individuals that work here have no regard for people's health. As Pharmacy staff members you are hired to actually HELP people. People who are sick and vulnerable and are needing some guidance. I think it is imperative for CVS to hire individuals that actually CARE about people's lives. Karla, I understand your life outside of work may be hard or you're overworked here at CVS, but this gives you absolutely no excuse to treat others the way you do. Went to this CVS to pick a prescription. Was asked to stand on the right side and your name will be called. When my daughters name was called and my husband went to counter the lady said to stand on one side as she is serving someone else. There was no one there then a girl came who might have gone to pick up some item. The pharmacist lady helped her and then my husband went back and she said go and stand on the other side at the end of line. My husband and daughter got a bit upset and she helped them out. I watched this all from side. One of another customer from the line said this is the line on this side. My daughter said that we were asked to stand on this side. We have been to this pharmacy many times and never had an issue before. My family felt insulted. My daughter felt discriminated. Just to add we look different and have dark color. I tried to justify to my daughter that the pharmacist might have had a tough day and the lady in the line has small kid. They were okay but i still felt that someone in that CVS must pay attention to this. A little respect and smile can go long way. If u are tired please take a break don't be rude to others. read more

Pretty big CVS, they have an extended pharmacy center . I came here because it's the only one in my area with a self check out. I coupon, so I wanted to do one transaction, get in and get out. The self check out was not reading one of my coupons correctly, Deserae (one of the associates) was sooo super polite and nice and friendly and help me by personally ringing me up so I wouldn't have to deal with the self check out system. Everytime I come here it's a long wait time. The only reason I come here is because they are open when I leave the emergency room with my sick twins. This time I waited an hour even though the prescription was sent while I was still in Urgent Care. I received the antibiotic that was not mixed because the Technician failed to see or know that it needs to be mixed before dispensing. The person in charge of the schedule is to blame for scheduling a technician that had not completed her training yet was working night shift with only one pharmacist. I feel bad for the pharmacist that had to fill prescription, check prescriptions, answer phone calls, and process prescriptions. She was only at the register giving out the medications while the pharmacist was stressed out and could possibly make a medication error. Next time I will wait till the morning and fill my prescription at Walgreens instead. It would not surprise me if CVS pharmacy goes out of business in the future based on how they do business they will definitely lose costumers. They definitely need better management to make sure their staff is fully trained before working night shifts and properly staff the pharmacy during peak hours of patient load for example Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights when no other Pharmacy is open and we just left the emergency room. read more

Have been a patron here for years, probably spent over $17,000 there. Recent Bean-counter philosophy of cost-cutting management, and a paranoia over their one bathroom may be used by someone other than a "CVS customer only", has made sure that only four employees are physically in the store: Two in the pharmacy, one cashier and one in the stock area, with a digital lock on the bathroom. Two signs posted read "Bathroom for use by CVS customers only", and "Bathroom access by a CVS attendant only". But who would that be? The one Cashier? One of the two pharmacy people busy filling prescriptions for the 10 people in line? The one stock person who only emerged when we gave up and left? Once again, some corporate micro-brained efficiency expert paid to squeeze every penny out of costs (so they can pay their CEO a multi-million dollar salary), has no concept of customer service, by providing available bathroom facility to customers who drove twenty minutes, then stood in line another ten, then walked around the store waiting for another ten minutes for their prescription. This is crappy customer service at best. Help this micro money management tactic to save even more money: DON'T SHOP HERE OR PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY, BY FILLING YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE...Essentially there is no way to relieve yourself, other than dehydrating yourself for two days before you visit this low-ball store. I would give anything to know who this penny-pinching corporate exec is, so I could piss in her purse, or his desk drawer...I will be posting this lack of staffing, and suck-ass customer service on all ten of my International consumer websites, as a Consumer Advocate, who reviews products, services, and launches complaints, investigations and suits. read more
