This is the worst CVS store out there. I called their pharmacy twice, back to back, and was left on hold for over 20 minutes. Nobody ever answered. I then call the store, some moron tries to tell me they're so busy with people in line they can't answer. I said that's ridiculous! I called twice, no one ever answered either time, and I am a customer just like those people in line! The idiot then tells me he's going back there to see what's happening. 15 minutes later I was still on hold so I hung up. I called another cvs and was immediately assisted. They should get rid of all these morons and start over! read more

This location seemed ok for a while until it recently became practically impossible to get the pharmacy to answer the phone. I tried for days and hours, and they have left me in the lurch. Rite Aid nearby answers the phone with no problems. They apparently want money. Every CVS location I go to these days seems absolutely plagued by management issues. read more

I'm giving this pharmacy two stars for the incredible customer service I've received here leading up to the last six months, during which time a new pharmacy manager (latino, male) has joined the team. I loved the whole staff prior to his arrival, but this particular manager seems hell-bent on making everything more difficult for his customers. In fact, not once, but 2 or 3 times when I've been waiting in line, this manager has been involved in angry altercations with the person(s) in front of me. I've tried to ride out the change, but it seems to be getting worse. Further, these types of managers always seem to have a trickle-down effect on the morale of the other pharmacists. The pharmacy staff at this CVS is the most irresponsible, lazy, thoughtless, and untruthful staff of people I have ever dealt with! I take Enbrel which is an injectable that needs refrigeration. CVS Caremark ships it to this pharmacy for me. Upon arrival, the staff is supposed put it in the refrigerator and then immediately call me. These idiots failed to do so on both on two separate occasions. Last month, there was a delay in my shipment. I was wondering about that delay and logged onto my CVS Caremark account. My account showed that the shipment arrived on that day. I called this CVS and asked why they didn't call me. They claimed the medication did not arrive, then they acted like they looked around the store only to come back and say it wasn't there. This was inaccurate according to the CVS Caremark's website. In my opinion, this was more than inaccurate, it was a boldfaced lie! So, I called CVS Caremark to report what happened. They confirmed that the tracking showed that the shipment arrived over 3 hours ago. They then said they would call the CVS on Vine to further investigate. Within 10 to 15 minutes the CVS on Vine called me and claimed that my shipment magically appeared. Freaking pathetic!!! Furthermore, I am so angry right now because CVS on Vine continues to be lax! I had to call them today, after logging into my CVS Caremark account, again like last month. I asked the woman I spoke to why they did not call me since it shows on the tracking that my medication is ready for pick up? She was very nonchalant and said that the medication has been there for 3 days! I said, "GREAT!!! No one ever called to let me know!!!!" How am I supposed to know exactly when my medication arrives? They are supposed to call me since it is a speciality medication, it is their responsibility to contact me! My medication was sitting in their freaking pharmacy and they didn't call to inform me? That is not only irresponsible, but dangerous! Time is of the essence for this medication because it is supposed to be refrigerated. In addition to that, my condition worsens if I don't take it on time!!!! If they are so complacent about making a call to inform someone that their medication is there, they obviously don't care about safety issues like refrigeration. Someone should get involved and investigate this pharmacy to ensure the safety of how people's medications are being handled. I am sure I am not the only one this has happened to. The pharmacy staff at CVS on Vine are being careless and endangering lives with their irresponsible behavior! I will definitely research and report them to all the appropriate organizations and/or agencies available. Hopefully they will be held accountable for something before they cause someone to die on account of their neglect!!!! read more

Before I get too political about this stores silly abundance of merchandise devoted to make-up, tampax and perfume rows of products for wives, let me say, i would have rated this store a full 6 points if they would have answered the phone instead of giving me busy signals so I didn't have to realize they didn't have the kind of soup i needed, wasting my time taking the bus to this 5 and dime. At least at Rite Aid they will let you check your blood pressure, and give you samples of ice cream if you talk to Denise. I ended up buying Campbells Creamy Cheese soup and made Jeffery some competitive Nachos for his Game of Throws Party, So all in all I would recommend this place if you are a careless woman, not worried about phones or soup or using a bathroom without having to ask a weird Foreign lady how to put the secret code into the futuristic lock on the door. and of course the soap was that weird kind that smelled like coconut mouthwash, so i had to wait to wash my hands until I got home, and jeffery was clogging the bathroom for so long getting ready for the game. What is up with all the negative reviews? We were staying just a few blocks away. So we walked over to get my prescription filled. We were greeted as we entered the store - that was different and nice - the girl at the pharmacy updated my address which was great because no one else has during the last two years. Then she told us how much it would cost when she filled it - excellent! What a plus! We were a little nervous since insurance wasn't paying so having her tell us upfront was way cool. When we came back to pick the prescription up the pharmacist stopped by to go over tips and questions. I didn't ask - she offered. Very nice! Stop the hating. They are great here. read more

This pharmacy is terrible. Most employees have an apathetic attitude and are not in any hurry fill your prescriptions. I was told today that my medicine would not be in stock until the week after next. Why? There is currently no one that is on staff to order the medicine. The manager is on maternity leave and there is currently no replacement. My prescription is no an uncommon drug. Weak! My insurance will only cover prescriptions from CVS. I previously had a great pharmacy, Robertson Pharmacy in Beverly Hills. They are the best! CVS sucks! Especially the Vine Street Branch! read more

This location could sadly use a make-over / deep cleaning. The isles feel cluttered and dirty. The shelves have layers of dust on them. Behind the cashier desk looks unorganized with multiple half opened boxes. There should be more than one security guard - because this area is very shady. I avoid going there after sundown because the parking lot feels unsafe. read more

I usually only go for the pharmacy, which is slooooooooooow. The pharmacists are definitely not happy people and you can feel it. Their pick up system is nice however. The store itself is half empty, lines are long if you're unlucky since only one cashier at a time is open, and it's mostly dirty. Their parking is shared (unofficially) with a recycling service center causing the parking to be quite busy and inaccessible. But oh well, when needed, the pharmacy is still useful. read more

Myriam & their only male pharmacist are good, the Asian woman pharmacy tech is knowledgeable, courteous & competent. When I called to fill my medications I was answered by a rude women who obviously had no clue what she was doing because she couldn't find my information and I even had to call a different cvs just to get all the information for her. Once my prescription was finally found I never recieved a call back just a text saying my prescription was complete. Showed up and was given so much attitude and my prescription was not even fully filled so I had to wait another 10 mins and still was rudely checked out. The CVS part is ok, The pharmacy is a fing disaster. I know..... I should find another pharmacy, but its 3 blocks from my house and I have Rxs that I need to get filled monthly. My issue is that half the months they take me off the auto refill, and when I'm knocked off that, and my dr runs out of refills, it can take days or weeks before they can refill my meds, and by then I can barely use my hands. I have no idea how they are so disorganized and I check my meds every month because I would not be surprised if I got a different med. I have no confidence in them, but I am confident in myself. But do yourself a favor and find another pharmacy, the bar is set very low, so you probably will do better. read more

I like the part where I went into pick up my medication this afternoon in my work out clothes and brought my Trek Hybrid inside because of the very bad and obvious homeless camps outside their parking lot and the security thought I was a street person and cased me up to the pharmacy just because I wouldn't leave my personal property up front so he could stand there and ignore it with his nose in his cell phone only to have my shit stolen. He left when I started loudly talking to the pharmacy tech about how when I wear the booty shorts where my ass hangs out and bring my bike and backpack inside this same man is nothing but smiles and greets me very nicely. This garbage of casing me like some shoplifting street vagrant ever happens again I will transfer my RX to a pharmacy where security acts appropriately. read more

Not sure why everyone is hating on this place...this CVS is on the small side but I can usually find anything I need here. Unfortunately they haven't been carrying Neutrogena makeup recently so I have had to go to other locations for that but otherwise, they have everything I usually need. I don't mind the smaller size because it's easier to find things that way. The staff is friendly and nice and always help me find anything I'm looking for. The pharmacy is usually pretty fast and there is a parking lot with plenty of parking which is always a plus. Overall it's a good store, I'll be back, I live around the corner. read more

Update- I was shorted 1 Tylenol with codeine pill by the pharmacist. I was given 15 instead of 16. Interesting because the other two medications that are non narcotic are an exact count. I came here to get a prescription filled. They told me the pharmacist was not available for 30 mins. So I decided to wait. I just had 2 wisdoms teeth extracted so I have gauze in my mouth. I needed to use the restroom since I've been waiting for a while now and I need to change the gauze. The pharmacist assistant was super cool and told me she would call for customer service to let me in. I waited and when I told the woman worker she immediately told me that they were out of order (same excuse that every CVS gives to their customer btw). So I said please let me use the employee restroom then. She said that it's only for employees. I asked to speak to the manager and the manager came out with a nasty attitude and told me they are all under construction including the ones for employees. I then told her well so your employee was lying when she said that the employee restrooms were open? She then kept insisting that they were closed with her nasty attitude. I just think it's horrible that they always treat customers as though they don't matter. Employees get to use restrooms but customers that need to wait around are not? That is not cool at all. Plus why are CVS restrooms always "under construction"? The real point is that she didn't need to have any type of attitude. I just had dental surgery and simply waiting for a prescription to be filled. read more

Very frustrated with the Pharmacy service and attitude here. The only reason they receive a 2 instead of a 1 is because the other workers at this CVS are kind and helpful, but the pharmacists are rude and inconsiderate. I came in for a flu shot due to the severe flu sweeping the United States and they could not have been ruder. They didn't have any left but did not give me any advice on where to go besides that I should have got it earlier. I have filled prescriptions here in the past and it is always a long and difficult process despite it being very simple. For some reason this CVS pharmacy is worse than others and I believe it is definitely the attitude of a few, if not all, of the pharmacists here. Go elsewhere and save yourself a headache! read more

This cvs is good for a quick run type of thing. Its in a sketchy part of hollywood, but has been very convenient for me after some hollywood partying. Like just run in and grab an advil bottle, or some water...help a hangover kind of thing? Its also good for some emergency makeup etc when you're heading to the clubs. Terrible customer service at the pharmacy . I called to ask if they had a prescription -- because they often do not -- and the pharmacist says it is policy not to disclose that information over the phone! Perhaps they would rather people travel all the way there to find out they do not have what they need, as often tends to happen. Never heard such a rude, and unreasonable answer. Stay away from these people, plenty of other options in the area. read more

Wasted 1/2 hour while they tried to verify my insurance, told me they were doing ME a favor, and then told me they didn't have the medicine in stock - the FIRST question I asked them. The staff was super friendly, the sign that said no 8x10 photos available made it super clear that no photo printing at all was available, it didn't seem like I was inconveniencing the employees at all when the amazing UX of express checkout made my checkout super fast and convenient with a little help from them. This is the closest pharmacy to my apartment. And when I review this place, it's for the pharmacy itself. Every time I pick up medicine I have to wait. Not 5 minutes, more like 10 minutes or more (even when I'm the only one there). It seems like they are always understaffed. Here's a recap of my experience tonight. I arrive to the pharmacy area and patiently wait to have a pharmacist help me. I'm the only one in line. There are four pharmacists behind the counter. The one closest to me doesn't acknowledge me until several minutes after I've clearly been standing there. "I'll be right with you," he says. A few minutes later he finally comes over and asks for my name. "We don't have a prescription for you." Really, because I'm sure the doctor called in my prescription this morning. He goes to search for it and finds it several minutes later at the bottom of a stack. He comes back and tells me it's going to take at least 20 minutes. At this point I'm annoyed, but I say I'll just wait for it. It had been 8 hours since my prescription was called in and they still didn't have it filled? Ugh. Much to my surprise, I waited about 5 minutes. They must have heard me complaining to my friend about how bad the service always is here...I don't know. I only go here because it's so conveniently close to my apartment, but I wouldn't recommend you coming here to refill your prescription if you don't live nearby. Not worth the time...not worth the annoyance. read more

I'm switching all of the family's medications elsewhere. This is the 3rd CVS I've dealt with that's had untrained staff who barely speak English and make you spend hours explaining to them what they were supposed to do correctly. My insurance company (Anthem Blue Cross) has even called a number of times on my behalf just to process items. Besides that each doctor has to call in every RX because they dont have a working fax or something. I'd just go elsewhere. read more

This cvs I rate a five star because of the staff, the selection and because of the light traffic in the store. I stopped by this morning. When I first came in the store the staff noticed that I was looking at the signs to find things. The staff didn't wait for me to ask, they approached me quickly and asked how they could help. They quickly directed me to the section that I needed. I was surprised by the large selection. I got what I needed and approached the cashiers. It was lightly busy, but the cashiers were quick and friendly. I was in and out in about seven minutes. Now that's what I call true customer service! Love this store. read more
