BEWARE - THIEVES - THIEVES - THIEVES - THIEVES - THIEVES - THIEVES - BEWARE - CVS located at 14735 Ventura Blvd. Sherman Oaks, CA My first mistake was sending my 80 year old husband to buy our Christmas gift cards. He paid $650 in cash for 4 cards at $100, 3 at $50 and 4 at $25 plus the activation charges. When these cards are purchased you usually receive a store receipt as well as individual activation receipts. My husband was not given any activation receipts. When he came home with the cards and I asked him for the activation receipts he told me he didn't get any but said I should look at the regular receipt. On the receipt at the bottom there were 11 different lines (one for each card) that said "activated" and then listed the last four numbers of each of the purchased cards. So I shrugged and figured all was okay. Then after giving out some of the cards I get a call from one of the techs at my Vet who thanked me for the $25 card I had given her as a gift. She just wanted to let me know that she tried to use the card and was told it's invalid. This led me to a call this CVS. I asked to speak to a manager and I was asked in turn if I wanted a flu shot. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. The manager, Heather, told me this isn't a store issue it's a corporate issue and proceeded to give me an 800 # to call. I told her point blank that the 4 digit numbers on the receipt do NOT coordinate with the digits on the cards and I firmly believe their clerk Emelita has pulled a fast one. Heather again told me she couldn't help me and I need to call Corporate. She didn't give a damn about any of it or the embarrassment this has caused us. So then I spent 45 mins on the phone with a man named Ken at Corporate who had no interest what so ever with my situation. He was beyond bored and blasé about it all. He listened to the details and told me Corporate would go over my case and make a decision. You have $650+ of our cash money and I have no Christmas gifts to give out and you're going to review things and make a decision. You are all out of your minds if you think I'm going to let this happen. Your damn clerk Emelita scanned cards that she kept and gave my husband unactivated cards. That's how simple this is. I'm still holding my breathe waiting for a call back from Corporate which I was told would take 48 hrs. Talk about a Christmas nightmare. I hope this store and it's crooked employees all go to Hell. I will take you to court to get my money back. I hope you enjoy whatever you buy with my money Emelita. Low life scum that you are. Trust me I will not just let this pass. I got the message after I got home from work so it was too late to call Corporate back. A dimwit named Stephanie said they went over my receipt and it seems all the cards on the receipt have been activated and if I have any problems I should contact the issuers of the cards who sell them in the CVS stores. OF COURSE THE CARDS ON THE RECEIPT HAVE BEEN ACTIVATED. These are the cards your thieving clerk kept and then gave my husband the unactivated cards. YOU ARE A MORON STEPHANIE. I call this store location "CRAZY TOWN" The bad customer service by employees at this location goes unchecked by management, who typically just watch as most of their employees who are of Mexican descent exhibit rude, offensive, and at times racist behaviors towards other people of color due to possibly feeling inferior. Store employees at this location think they own this store and can treat customers any way they want, guess what, they are also people of color LOL. On September 28, 2025, at approximately 3:38 pm, what I saw was a shopper who as a African American female customer came into this store she was giving dirty looks by the Mexican employee's as they try to project there personal baggage on to the unsuspecting customers possibly do the immigration issues of the day, any way this African American female shopper did some shopping so when she was getting ready to check out all of the cashiers who were working in the front of the store all of a sudden disappeared and ran to the back of the store, how stupid, I mean you can't make this stuff up, this was all while the manager was looking who was also of Mexican descent. The employees who work in this store and who are of Mexican descent really believe that they are not also people of color; I suppose they have not gotten that memo yet. These are employees who act like juvenile delinquents who refuse to grow up; it's so utterly ridiculous to see and observe. I really believe that these choice employees must have very low self-esteem. Most of the employees at this location are of Mexican descent have the audacity to perpetuate systemic racism and microaggression towards other people of color; it does not make any sense. Perhaps it's because they are confused; after all, there was a large population of people of Mexican descent who also live in Los Angeles who voted for a president who wants to deport Mexican people out of the United States. I call this particular location "CRAZY TOWN," yes, the employees here are two types of nuts. (to management, yes, video cameras are watching you) LOL Besides the below, I know believe that the employee behaviors stem from management. The manager today, who was male, heavy-set, approximately in his mid to late 50's over 200lbs, is the reason some employees are the way they are, rude. The manager on this day, 12/14/2025, at approximately 3:30 pm, was told by a customer that she could not open the refrigerator due to it being locked, so instead of the manager simply saying hold while I get someone to open the refrigerator, he spent 15 minutes debating if it's locked or not eventually the customer was able to get the manager to open the refrigerator to get an item by that time she had changed her mind. It was absolutely ridiculous. The manager at this time thinks that he owns CVS pharmacy and can treat customers any way he chooses. His personality is one of feeling the need to always be in control, manipulative, deceitful, and conniving. LOL, it's just weird to see. By the way, this location is in the heart of the LGBTQ community. Perhaps it's part of their culture, they just can't help themselves, it's part of their DNA ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Perhaps it could be because of these immigration issues; after all, it was a lot of people of Mexican descent who decided to vote and push for a president who wants to deport Mexican people. Again, it's weird; it just does not make any sense. maybe they are projecting there misguided feelings of shame and guilt to people who they think are vulnerable which makes this groups who perpetuates such behaviors predatory. cvs caremark online pharmacy is dangerous to clients who need critical medications in a timely fashion. my wife foolishly choose CVS caremark to service her pharmacy needs. since enrolling she has spent 3 weeks trying to get her medications with no luck. finally with only days left to get crucial meds she called our state insurance commission. they advised filing a complaint immediately with medicare. i advised her to do so. consider this... on the forms cvs caremark sends to doctors offices the return pharmacy 800 number is INCORRECT! these people shouldn't be allowed to prescribe anything. I am urging anyone who has the misfortune to have cvs caremark ruin their day/s with endless phone calls to clear up their mistakes to instead file a complaint via medicare and choose another provider as soon as possible. What's up with this store? It is a filthy pigsty--the area behind the cashier looks like a hurricane hit it--like it's literally a giant garbage area-items thrown on the ground, falling displays, clothes lying everywhere. Customer service was horrible. The cashier, "Mando" told me I'd save $12 on my purchase if all I did was give him my email. I literally asked him if there were any charges and if it were "free" and he said "yes." I entered the info and the "agreement" said I would be charged $5/mo. going forward. I called him on it and told him he should be up front and honest with customers about the charges and he belittled me--literally said "yeah, whatever." Now I have to cancel this stupid thing which is an inconvenience, but being deliberately deceived and then talked to like that from an employee was humiliating. Unprofessional management disgusting and dirty store. Loading dock area where they bring everything into the store is Tainted with human urine, feces and blood. Junkies smoke meth and shoot up heroin leaning against their delivery door that is stained with urine. Bloodsoaked bandages and napkins can be found on their walkway and delivery path where all of the delivery drivers bring their product into the store. I filed a complaint with corporate headquarters and had to call the health department to try and see if these guys will clean the stuff up. They leave the back loading area in a disgusting shambles which attracts unsavory characters and gross situations. I'm not sure why I keep going to this store, aside from the fact that it's en route to and from the gym, and I've been using it for years. Nonetheless, it's about the worse excuse for a pharmacy I know. They are always understaffed, the few workers they have are slow as slow can be, and when business picks up the level of rudeness among the employees rises exponentially. At one time the head pharmacist was an Asian fellow named Kim. When he was there, the place ran really well. But I learned today that he's relocated back east, so now we're stuck with the also-rans.
