This is my new Go-To CVS when in Orange County. It's a small CVS but usually well stocked, clean, well lit, smells good, has a positive vibe with helpful, sometimes friendly employees. For people that don't live in the LA area--coming to this CVS from an LA CVS is like going from the dungeon to the penthouse. It's a whole other system and distribution and product availability in the LA market I have been told -- than OC so I am always happy to shop in an OC CVS--especially this one. This CVS has their own large easy free parking lot--enter from Beach or Warner. My only beef is that because they don't want to have to clean up from the homeless that like to use a restroom for 30 minutes to SSS, they tell all their customers that the restroom is out of order. One time they let me use it and it was the most beautiful restroom of any public restroom ever except some of the newer Irvine City Parks. This CVS restroom is nicer and cleaner than most people have at home. read more

I had to go to the store again, and the same heavy, blonde guy, with glasses was working. He's so condescending, it makes me sick. This time I received the butt-end of his "customer service.". It's always a hit or miss when it's time to check-out. 9x out of 10 you have to do self-checkout. Today was one of those days. The machine greeted me. It told me to put my phone number in if I am a rewards member. Check. It told me to scan my items and place my items in the bagging area. Check. It asked me if I wanted to purchase a bag. I pressed the button that said, "I have my own." It said, "Please place your bag in the bagging area." I placed my bag on my groceries. It repeated itself. Heavyset blonde dude happened to be walking by so I said, "Sir, this is not registering my bag." He walks up and has to make a stupid comment about, "You're not doing it right. You should have put your bag down before you scan." I tried cutting him off saying, "Yeah...I know," as I didn't want his lecture or I would have probably been 86ed from the store. He takes the screen back to a bag purchase page and says, "This is what you're supposed to do.."..and I clicked 0 bags. You know what, I wish I would have gotten his name. He's a complete and total condescending employee for want of an insult. He needs to sit his rump in the office, and take a course on the computer for customer service. I'm not a cashier, how am I supposed to know wtf to do at your robot registers? You're trained in that, not me. read more

I went to the front entrance. IThe door said 'use other entrance'. Didn't know the was one? Found it around the back. Clerk said they are not using the front entrance any more. Went to go down the cosmetic Isle. It was locked blocked by carts. I asked "is the cosmetics Isle closed?" Clerk said that I had to walk down the next Isle and come up from the back to get to it. This is ridiculous. Clerk said it's all due to theft. I told him I noticed a lot of items locked up. He said they even lock up Beef Jerky now. I won't go back again. Stopped here on May 31st as one of my daughters had a personal emergency, so my wife took both my daughters (6 and 7) into the store and requested politley to use the restroom. She was quickly denied by a person named "Yes," and told my wife she had to buy something first. Being an emergency, my wife explained she'd buy something the moment they were done and "Yes" continued to deny she and my daughter entry to the restroom. The situation escalacted and "Yes" told another employee, Isabella, "Just get her out of here!". My wife immediately summoned me, and on entering the store she quickly explained everything to me and as I began to talk, "Yes" began verbally vomiting on me as Isabella tried to explain the situation. Both my wife are very calm individuals, however when "Yes" repeated herself saying "Just get her and he out of here," my gloves came off and it was on. As "Yes's" voice increased in tonality so did mine. I demanded to see a manager after ripping "Yes" a new one for being unprofessional, making an innocent child who still had to use the restroom urgently wait, when in a matter of seconds the situation could be resolved... Even as I made the purchase, "Yes" did not shut her pie hol, she kept making intimidationg and unprofessional remarks toward my family and I, justifying my comment that no matter what it took, or how long, I'd spend a great deal of time making her life miserable so she knows she messed with the wrong family. The manager came up and while I made a small purchase to justify opening the bathroom door, I spoke to the manager at length over what had taken place. With the two of us being former military, we bonded quickly, and the manager was very patient, understanding, empathetic and was even kind and very aplogetic to my wife and children as we left the store. "Yes," has no place being forward facing in the eyes of the public. She is unsuitable for even working in a warehous speaking with boxes. She treated my wife as a second class or 3rd class citizen for no reason, and made my youngest daughter cry by the way "Yes" treated my wife. I hope this review reaches the right people, and aside from a write up and any coaching, more immediate and drastic action is taken. This type of unstable individual has no place being anywhere near the public in any type service role. read more

This is my regular pharmacy. I was in ER at night and was asked what pharmacy to send rx. I looked on Yelp to see address and hrs. It said 7-10pm. THIS IS NOT PHARMACY HOURS. I had an odd feeling so I called the pharmacy while still in ER to confirm and they were closed. Glad I called. They switched my rx to a 24 hr location. If outside of daylight hours, call to double check pharmacy hours. read more

I sent in my prescription at 8 am and they didn't open until 9 but the moment they opened I sent in a request to have it ready as soon as they can since I was taking a half day and the pharmacists and techs immediately got to work! They're so nice here and they do their best to inform you of all the prescription details you need to know. Great job everyone! read more

Really taken back when I first met the Pharmacist about how he demanded answers and then just walked away with my prescriptions and then said nothing so I wait a few mins then another person in line came and I let him go because I didn't know what I was waiting for. So he helped the other customer and was like I'm still working with her. Okay, that would have been good to know and finally came back. Got insurance all squared away and was told to wait 30 mins. It took a lot longer than that, but I did find some things I need around the store and the front register for the store the line was very long but she called and got another associate to help. Just getting to this location can be hard since it's off of beach and finding parking sometimes can be a hassle and there always seems to be a line for pharmacy and the registers at the store. I usually get my meds shipped to me but I was filling new prescriptions. read more

I have been coming here since it was a SAV-ON pharmacy, that was the good old days. The manager used to be a high school teacher he was very amiable, knowledgeable but i guess they let him go. CVS was also nice in the beginning but it has not been the same. I have a lot of problems with the pharmacy department, where do i start? they gave me the wrong drug once, they told me it was available, i got there, wasted time it was not even ready and the drug had to be ordered and i had to wait several days. The worst one was the automatic filling, one particular drug I had told the pharmacist once, the tech twice they still wasted my time filling it, they just never ever bothered to jot anything down, it was chaotic. I was exasperated, wanted to complain to the headquarters but the manager was so nice, so courteous I still have not done it, if higher up is reading this, please tell the pharmacist manager to run a tighter ship. The rest of the store was fine, a 4 stars, the cashiers were all helpful. FV had jacked up their sale tax 1% higher and that was the breaking point for me, I went to the new store on Beach blvd but that was really dark there and many weird characters hanging out in the store. We got scared we might get jumped on in the parking lot so as of now, I have a dilemma, go to a safer store and get irritated or go to the newer store with other problems? That is the $64,000 question so I alternate between the 2 stores. The only reason it is a 3 stars was because of the overall store was nice. read more

Just filed a complaint with CVS corporate after the pharmacist here refused to fill my prescription. His only reasoning was that "They have a policy""They have laws" without being able to site any specific bills,codes, or give me proof of any corporate policies that supported his claim that my specific prescription HAD to be filled in either the specific zip code of the doctor or the specific zip code of my address. You'd think I crossed state lines but I was a 20 min drive away, and in the same county so... basically I was profiled for whatever reason and turned away. Corporate is investigating now as they say that because he cited a policy that seems to be non existent they need to escalate (guess you shouldn't be lying to customers) and I am also filing a complaint with the state board. After years of being a CVS customer (he wouldn't even look through my ExtraCare account as I was asking him to do or even pretend to try to help he just said sorry) I was SO caught off guard by this particular incident, I can't just sit back and take it sitting down. It would be a totally different situation if he had just been able to clearly cite a "Section3 Paragraph 8" or point to one of the legally required signage displayed, or pulled out a corporate handbook, or been able to cite a single law or bill as I was repeatedly asking him to clarify, but he had nothing to tell me. I would have simply left without any bad feelings but he wasn't even able to show me proof or explain the policy, which is just...Not okay. If corporate isn't able to resolve this correctly then as much as I like my other CVS locations I'm going to have to find another parent company to give my business to. This location opened up around 2011 so it is a fairly new store. It is located on the corner of Beach blvd. which can be busy. It is a big clean store which carries the usual stuff. I'm not familiar with the pharmacy, though I do know it's not 24 hours but does have a drive thru. I find getting in and out 100% faster than the CVS on Magnolia/Talbert in Fountain Valley. Even if one person is in line when you arrive, they are still in line when you are getting ready to check out. This has happened so much over the years, I've stopped buying items at this location. If you get a CVS card, link it to your phone number and email, then you will receive discounts like 20-30% off your purchases. Just click the email and "send to card". It's that simple with your cell phone. You can also take your film to be developed there. read more

I shop at this store all the time. Today was terrible. They have nothing posted about not accepting electronic gift cards, yet they don't. The only manager was at lunch and would only speak to me via phone. Why offer pay with ibotta if you don't actually accept it. Don't waste your time coming to this store. The pharmacy is horrible! I dropped off the prescription for my baby's formula at 11am, and the tech told me to come back in an hour since they need the insurance approval because it's available over the counter. I came back and another tech told me that I came to the wrong store, and that my prescription was transferred to another location. She said that Walgreen doesn't carry that formula. I told her that I bought one at Walgreen before, that's why I came here since I knew that they would have it. She was surprised and didn't even know whether they carry the product or not and suggested me to go look on Amazon. My baby has been out of formula, and I've been wasting my time running back and forth to this location. Not mention that they put me on hold for 30 mins on the phone. read more

If you don't like this particular CVS, there are probably about a dozen others within a 2 mile radius that you can go to instead. This one is brand new, located on Beach & Warner, and has entrances on 3 sides of the building. If you're on Beach, or going west on Warner it's easy to turn into also. If you're going east on Warner, you'll have to make a U-turn though. If you live where I do, you can just walk here. AVOID FILLING YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE AT ALL COSTS!! AVOID THE PHARMACIST HERE LIKE THE PLAGUE! Any "good" reviews they have are specifically for the store department, not the RX department. I had a very troubling experience with their Pharmacist over the Memorial Day weekend. Pharmacist Mary T. Duong received my Rx authorization on Saturday, May 29th, and I was alerted my Rx was available for pickup that afternoon. I arrived at pharmacy and the Pharmacist, Mary T. Duong, came up to the counter. She advised me my insurance will not pay for the Rx and therefore they will not fill it. I explained to her that I would pay cash and issue a claim later, that I actually work for the insurance company (Humana) and it was not a problem. She said I was attempting to fill the Rx too early and because the insurance will not pay, she will not dispense the medication. The medication is Zoloft. This is not a controlled, abusable substance to be concerned with, in regards to over medicating. There is no judgment call here to make. I explained I dropped some pills in my sink and I had to call the doctor this morning. The doctor ( a real MD primary care physician) spoke to me and issued a real, valid new Rx authorization for CVS to fill that day.. I explained to her it was not an early refill, that this was a "new" Rx my doctor was issuing that same day.. She continued to stand her ground that they would not refill a medication early, because the instructions clearly state I should not be out and the insurance won't pay for it (she said this at least four times). She even started to yell at me, walked away several times and asked me to leave!?? REALLY??? After causing somewhat of a scene, with my understandable frustration, the Pharmacist, Mary T. Duong, sold me SIX PILLS... She didn't give me a few to hold me over, she didn't fill the prescription, she instead decided to ignore a Medical Doctors prescription authorization and "sell" me 6 pills. - WOW This was 5 minutes before CVS closed, on a Saturday, on Memorial Day weekend. I did not have time to have my Rx transferred to another pharmacy and it was after-hours for my doctor's office. My only option was to either go to the emergency room for a new Rx, buy the six pills, or skip my medication for the next three days. I have since complained to my doctor and the CVS customer care line pharmacist, each of whom agree this was ridiculous and that my Rx should have been filled. The refusal of medications like these, by pharmacists like her, can cause serious consequences for patients taking routine medications to control ongoing medical conditions. Suicide, job loss, etc. (to name a few) can occur by skipping maintenance depression medication. This Pharmacist, Mary T. Duong, was VERY out of line and should be terminated, before she causes any serious damage to someone else. Fill your medications anywhere else and avoid the pharmacist here like the plague. read more

Covid testing here is so bad. They say that the results will come out 1-2 days and we waited 48 hours for it but then they closed due to Memorial Day. They didn't let us know prior that they would not be getting our results and told us on Monday on the day of Memorial Day that no one was working at the clinic. We came in Saturday prepared to get our testing done by Monday morning for us to board our cruise ship because it is a requirement for a negative COVID test. We called them numerous times before Monday and they just kept telling to us to wait for results. We waited all morning of Monday until noon and called once again to get our results back, but then they told us since we have to board by 2:30 we should just get a rapid test elsewhere because the results are not available because NO ONE IS WORKING!!! AND ALL CVS STORES ARE CLOSED!! If we knew they would not be available or working we would have taken our asses to some place else on Saturday to get a PCR test. Do better CVS! DONT ACCEPT PATIENTS WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WILL CLOSE ON A HOLIDAY. OR GET YOUR WORK DONE BEFORE THE HOLIDAY. You wasted or time and made us miss our whole cruise vacation. And made us lose money. Warning to never, ever order photos from here. No one contacted me, but they were unable to fill my order. They transferred to another store, who is also unable to fill my order. Now it's going to a third store, who can theoretically fill it, and I'm now past the mailing deadline, so the photos i wanted to send with my Christmas cards cannot go out today. These were supposed to be ready by 10 am this morning. Now no one will get Christmas cards from me on time. Thanks a lot CVS. I will never shop here for anything else either. This review is more so meant for the poor soul that obviously was in a lot of pain. Yes I did walk into this location hoping for a bathroom opportunity (very rare these days but I understand why) but I always make sure to buy something even when not required because even before this year I always appreciate open bathrooms. I didn't see anyone else working and as we walked in we got the standard welcome call and it made me happy. I smile and waved back and continued to the bathroom which was closed off. No worries I understood why and I just proceeded to exit the store since I really didn't need anything else. I did note her tone even in the beginning (aka not like hey I'm actually happy you walked in but I understand. It's 8 pm and I'm sure you just want to be home and I can definitely relate from past jobs) and realized maybe she wasn't the happiest essential employee so we chose the aisle closest to the exit purposely. I get so much is going on in the world these days but I didn't appreciate the words you shot at us leaving and the tone. I'd love to have a job that paid me right now and I'm sure your job isn't the most pleasant at the best of times let alone now but we did nothing to you. At all. And that's fine. I honestly wish that times were different and I could have just hugged you and gave you a kandi bracelet. I truly wanted to and I hope your night went better. Did it hurt? Yes. Do I care that much now that I'm an adult and can see the world and people differently? No. I get that you are so hurt and lost right now that you that was the best you. I've been going to all kinds of cvs's all my life and this one just stands out with the superior service you receive including my flu shot. I found a worker stocking the shelf and asked her for help with a particular chocolate that I was looking for, she was able to guide me to the correct aisle. My colleagues and I were so excited for this CVS to open. It was fine... until today. Drugstores are supposed to be fast, easy, and convenient... no? Well, I always thought they were anyway... until today. I had about 30 minutes left to my lunch and I figured that since the store was pretty empty, it shouldn't take too long to pick up ONE item. I was wrong... - It took about 5 minutes for the girl to help me after she told me, "I'll be right with you". - When she finally helped me, she was no help. She had to call for someone else to help, a manager. That took another 4 or 5 minutes. Again, this store was practically empty at the time. - It took another 7 or 8 minutes for her to check on something (try to find) in the back. Unsuccessful. - She was going to write me a raincheck... took about 3 minutes to verify the product number, item, and the current special on it. - Brought me to the front of the store, where I met... BHAVITA! ugh... - Bhavita was to write the raincheck for me, but had issues with finding the product in the weekly ad. I had to flip through and find it for her. - Once found, the picture didn't match and she didn't think it was the same item. The description fits, the sku number matches, the sticker indicating the sale price and offer were right in front of her. But still, I think she had a problem with the fact that the picture didn't match. Seriously? I doubt that your ads show pictures of Crest Complete, Crest Whitening, Crest Tartar Control, Crest Pro-Health, Crest Fresh Mint, Crest Anticavity. LOL... that was just an example.. but you catch my drift? I told them to just forget the rain check... let me pay for the other item that I was ready to pay for. Bhavita insisted that I wait TWO minutes... because that's how long it would take. Uhmmm... NO. About 5 minutes later, she was still trying to verify the other product. She even offered to write me a rain check for a completely different item and different brand! I mean... I could have been the dishonest biyatch and walked away with a more valuable raincheck than I deserved, but that was not my intention. I just wanted the damn product... and if you don't have it in stock, then honor your damn raincheck policy ESPECIALLY after your Manager just instructed you to! I just wanted to WALK OUT! Looking back, I don't know why I didn't. Anyway... the reason for my rant is this: - I don't expect you to know the thousands of products that you carry, but at least know the basics of what you carry. - Know your specials or advertisements... especially if this had been going on for nearly a week now. - I am not saying that Customers are always right, but they also are not stupid. - If you manager tells you to do something, just do it. - READ. Life is not a picture book, so don't base everything on pictures. - Don't tell me that something will take you two minutes, if you know damn well that it would take 10. I have never given a bad review before but I feel I need to share my experience. About a month ago I moved out here from Tennessee and hadn't change my license to California yet. I went to the checkout and they refused to let me make my purchase because they told me my ID was fake because it didn't have black light marks. They wouldn't look up any information the manager just walked up and said no it must have a black light or we want take it. Tennessee drivers licenses only have the holograms but they refused to help me in any way. I now will drive out of my way to go anywhere else but CVS when I used to be a loyal customer. For employees to be so unwilling to help customers I no longer will be a customer. Very disappointing . read more

I have been going here because they are closest to me. But it certainly isn't the best. Every pickup of scripts involves some kind of problem and/or long delay. Nothing ever seems to go smoothly here, cannot pick up a script in less then half an hour even when you give them a paper script! Getting scripts approved often takes days, so I know to get the process started 2 to 3 days in advance so they have time to work out all the issues, and there are ALWAYS issues...once i had to go to urgent care because i could not get my meds right before a 4 day weekend - even though i called them for days in advance trying to get it all approved! And all too often, when you finally have the approval worked out, and you think you are going to get your meds and NOT have to leave and come back, again, ..., guess what might happen now? Too many times they have told me they are "OUT" of the medicine i need! And this has happened not once, but 4 or 5 times!. WHAT kind of pharmacy does their re-ordering this badly? I've been working up the desire to change to another pharmacy from this understaffed one - but that is a huge hassle and just causes even MORE delays! If i'd known how they do things, no, would not have switched my meds to them, I'd drive further to another CVS......thinking of just switching to Walgreen's or even the one in the Beach Blvd pavillion's! read more
