DO NOT SPEAK TO ALLEN!! Extremely rude, will yell and cut you off when you ask questions and hang up on you multiple times if he just doesn't feel like dealing with you. The only person that will speak to you like a human being is Lauren, she is very pleasant . Working for an animal hospital, the calls I make to this location are of great importance. If you want anything done at this pharmacy, get the names of every on you speak to and be prepared to call back multiple times ..... and still have it be a huge headache !! read more

This pharmacy is a mess long waits . They need more help. One thing I do like they are always on top of my refills sending refills request to my doctor if they see I have none . It's the closest pharmacy to me that's why I stick to them. The pharmacist is very nice just would be better if they had more help . Employees look very stress and always running around . Do not use this pharmacy for vaccines. I booked an appointment online to come to this pharmacy for a few routine vaccines. When I arrived, the pharmacy had no idea what I was talking about. The instruction on the confirmation email said "Please check in at the Pick Up counter in the pharmacy when you arrive. It will save time if you have your Confirmation Number with you." I stood in line at the pickup counter for 10 minutes while they served one other patient. When I finally got to the counter, they told me they had no idea what I was talking about. I shared the email confirmation number and they looked bewildered. I ended up wasting my entire lunch hour to discover that they only had two of the four vaccines I needed and my insurance wouldn't cover them because they're a retail pharmacy, not a clinic. All of this information would have been useful ahead of time, which is why I'm writing this review. Beware! read more

The people that work there are fine, but they seem to be understaffed. Yep, the lines are long. And rots of ruck trying to get a prescription filled on weekends. The pharmacy closes at 6 on weekends, which would be one thing if they weren't busy. But they're busy - if you call a refill in in the morning, they can't get it done, and if you try to call to find out when it'll be done, they put you on hold forever. I have been using this pharmacy for over a year and it may be the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. There are only 2 people on the entire pharmacy staff who actually know what they are doing. Never ever refill a prescription online, even if you request for you medication to be ready in a couple hours but come in the following day it will not be ready (this has happened 3 times in a row now). When you call be prepared for a minimum 10 minute hold (no matter what time of day you call) and the possibility that they may hang up on you. When you arrive at the pharmacy to pick up your prescription hopefully you get an employee who is able to navigate the alphabet and can find your medication in a timely manner. It does not matter how nice the employees are I have reached my limit dealing with them and will definitely be taking my business else where. read more

Worst pharmacy on the planet. Bring your prescription here if you want to be told the pharmacist is on lunch only to return 20 minutes later and subsequently be told they don't the very common prescription you've been waiting an hour to fill. As a bonus you'll spend more time than you ever imagined possible waiting to talk to the pharmacist or one of the assistants. An hour is maybe conservative for the whole debacle. Enjoy! read more

There are few reasons to go this particular pharmacy, but many a reason not to. I called in a transfer prescription yesterday and when I went to pick it up today they had lost my prescription. Annoying? Yes, but not the biggest deal. What really upset me was the poor and rude way I was treated and the general air of incompetence that surrounded them. My insurance makes me use CVS and this is the closest one to me. I hate using this pharmacy. They do not have their act together. I've had more than one technician be rude to me. One in particular is bossy and tries to tell me what I need to do. Thanks, you're not my mom. They're really slow and not helpful. Third time I go in this pharmacy and have me waiting for an hour to tell me they don't have my sons pain medication. Never going back!! The pharmacist seems to always be out to lunch more than an hour. No one knows where this person is at and so there I am waiting over an hour and no one bothers to tell me the pharmacist has finally arrived. Finally I get the counter just they can tell me they don't have the medication. Seriously? worst CVS branch ever! this branch ought to be closed instead of the one on Pico/Fairfax. the service in this branch is poor to nil. most of the employees have bad attitude, not helpful, inept, useless and they never smile. there's always a long queue to the cashier because there's usually only one working in it. i never understand why they hire lazy and unhappy employees. i'm never going back there again even if they have a sale. it's frustrating and a downer. read more

This has to be the worst pharmacy in the city of Los Angeles. I ordered my prescription on May 3rd it's now May 12th and I have still not received it. I tried to transfer it over to another pharmacy but couldn't because they told my insurance company that it was filled on the 6th. Which was pretty hard because they didn't have the medication. On top of it the pharmacist, who's name is Adam was the rudest person I have ever delete with. This review is for the pharmacy, which sucks! I understand that they're understaffed but maybe that means they should hire more pharmasists! I have their automatic refill service but they usually call me the day I need my medicine and when I pick it up it's not ready so I've learned my lesson and ask for my refill through their website. I make sure to do this the day before I plan on picking it up because I've often had to wait a good 45 minutes to an hour when I call it in the same day, even if I request it 8 hours before I get there. And they suck at opening on time. I've been there at 8 am and they're either barely opening up shop or no one is there yet. I only keep coming here because it's 3 blocks away from my place. I think I've lost a week of my life so far waiting for prescriptions at this CVS. And now I have two prescriptions I have to pick up on different days of the month. Ay, Dios mio! read more

Its open 24 hours a day so that gets a star just for that. Its a pretty good sized store with all the things you would expect at a store like this. Photo work IS a little shoddy. I uploaded a photo online to have printed there and when I went to get it they had no idea where it was at. Since it was one photo it got put in with someone elses order so they had to search for it. I have only used the pharmacy a few times but I have not had problems there. The one thing I can say is that they seem to be overwhelmed with customers from time to time. I was told it would be a few hours to fill a Rx and they told me of another CVS nearby (Sepulveda and Palms, next to Trader Joe's). I drove there, got my Rx filled, drove home and was halfway through a movie and dinner by the time my Rx would have been filled at the first place. The CVS that I was sent to said that, even internally, the pharmacy on Venice is known to be overwelmed and that I should go to his pharmacy on Palms because they are nevey busy like that. read more

OMG this place is horrible. Every time I call to check on a prescription, they tell me they are trying to contact my doctor to check - HELLOOOO! This IS NOT a new prescription and should not take a week to fill! Also, the pharmacists are apparently zombies who did not get picked for their first choice of job. The parking lot is soo awkward and I almost always get hit my some driver who can't figure out how to navigate that big ass random open curve/space in the parking lot to get to the next row. All of the spots are smaller than compact by the way. One evening there was a homeless (possibly dead) man sleeping - KNOCKED OUT - in the beautician chair in the makeup section! Who knows how long he was there! The reason I *hesitantly* say I "like" this CVS is because it's close to where I live and always has good sales on liquor usually making it cheaper than the real liquor stores. drop your prescriptions off here if you enjoy headaches that take up half of your day. call them and they'll put you on hold for 20 minutes, show up in person and wait in line even longer. be prepared to make 4 separate trips to pick up a single prescription because they'll tell you it's ready and then you'll find out 1.they've prepared the wrong medication 2.they prepared the right medication and they accidentally gave it to somebody else 3. they'll ask you if you can come back tomorrow because they got busy and didn't have your medication ready when they said they would. read more

this review is for getting just what you need there. i occasionally buy ginger pills as a natural anti inflammatory if i sprained anything or to keep my immune system boost. long wait times are not bad if you are not needing to use the restroom or not needing to go home and feed your hungry pets (fish in my case). read more

USED to be decent pharmacy when Zy was there, he was great & so was his pharm. crew. Now it has changed dramatically, almost all of them are gone. And the 2 new young pharmacists who were sort of decent are also 'transferred' which is true, I checked, they weren't fired. Is this like a 'training' pharmacy?? Now the phone wait is insanely long, I have waited over 1/2 an hr and still been put back on hold! Not to mention the lines are excruciatingly long for the pharmacy. People build relationships with pharmacists & customer reps bc it helps customers get what they want and possibly get it more quickly. There are only 2 people I feel that with still at this place. Also a common drug they had from more than one brand is no longer carried except in one brand, a very version. They used to order the other 2 if they were out upon customer request but no more. That was the last straw for me so I moved my scrips to the Rite Aid in Culver Center, Wow, that store has been remodelled and is just beautiful and the pharmacists I worked with assured me they arent going anywhere, yay!! And they carry more than one brand including the one I like of the drug I referred to. As to the rest of the store...dirty, just look at the floor of any aisle, there is ALWAYS litter. Understaffed. I've asked the MANAGER where something is and he was clueless, searched the aisles with me! Long lines at the front but nice people, gee, the same people. (Why do they switch out pharmacists so often?? Maybe they are asking to be transferred bc the pharm is poorly run & understaffed??) Prices are going way up and you get stupid coupons for things you just bought a week before when you use yr Extra Bucks card, so there are rarely coupons of use. I'm done with this place even tho I have to drive an extra 15 minutes to get to the Rite Aid. Oh! Makeup is blowing up and the CVS never has all the colors of anything, seldom has all the newly released products. Rite Aid isnt Sephora but wow, that one at Culver Center has a huge selection of beauty brands and products and is very well-stocked with also a great customer rep. Buh bye CVS. read more

i shop at cvs A LOT . some cvs are ok some not so great. this cvs was pleasant to say the least . super sweet and accommodating staff . i couldn't find something i needed and an employee did everything to find it , even went out of their way to see if it was coming in shipment this morning . she got my number and said she'd call if it came in . so nice seriously. great customer service . i probably interacted with 3 employees, everyone was lovely :) making this my new go to store for sures read more

The pharmacy at this CVS is beyond awful. How is it possible to wait in line at a pharmacy for 45+ minutes when there's only 8 people in front of you? They are extremely understaffed and seem to get very overwhelmed when there's a line. Also have had multiple issues with the pharmacist entering my prescriptions wrong in the system. Supposed to have refills but they weren't entered in the system. The pharmacy also had to reach out to one of my doctors about a prescription and told me to come pick it up the following day. Went back 2 days later. Had tried to call first to make sure it was ready but for my entire drive from Downtown LA to this CVS in Culver, during rush hour might I add, I was on hold. Never got to speak to anyone on the phone. When I went in, I waited in line 30 minutes, oh sorry it's still not filled. We promise we'll call you when it's ready. Never received a call. Went online and found out the prescription has been ready for 5 days now with no phone call. Terrible customer service. read more
