The stars are strictly for Christina. She had to do five jobs in one she was the cashier she had to unlock the product department. She had to take an inventory. She had to help out with the checkout stations self she was running the whole entire store by herself I was there last night on Tuesday that's shameful. She helped me with coupons. She made sure I got a discount. She explained my order to me all in detail. I wasn't sure about an item I wanted to purchase the prices have doubled so I felt like $15 for a container of dye was too expensive which he made sure that I received a discount. The store doesn't have any staff, but everyone is everything it's run smoothly with Christine. I've been to this CVS several times just because my local one closed. I typically have a negative interaction with long lines or rude cashiers. Today, the cashier asked if we were going to "leave our things here." when she didn't bag any of our items. I think a part of basic customer service is to put things in the bag and then give it to you without sarcasm or being mean about it. It's better to just buy online. read more

Over 2 hours to fill up a prescription. This is ridiculous. Unless you aren't in pain probably you should be fine. The app said to pick up @5pm & when I got here-after 5pm- the clerk told me it was gonna take another hour besides the 1 1/2 hour I waited already. I want to think that it's not the clerks fault & they're short staffed but this is ridiculous. If there was a way to give 0 stars I would do that but unfortunately that's not an option. read more

Second time at this cvs and I remember now why I never came back after first time. First: ALL CVS everywhere have the worst technology on the planet. Second: This CVS always only has ONE employee for the whole store. And I was there at 6:30 pm Thursday night! Third: the technology is so bad I can't check myself out because I have ExtraCare and it never works with self checkout. Meanwhile, the checkout person and I both looked for the QR signin to allow direct access to all my rewards points I'd been saving up. It did not exist on the app!!! And when we used my phone number only 1/3 of them showed up. I'm sick of CVS. A lot of employees acknowledge how horrible the technology is and some know work around and some don't. But no matter what- ONE employee- a woman in her 70s- to cover the whole store? Is that insane? And of course, as always, a lot of stuff that the cvs app showed was available at this store was not. POOR CUSTOMER and bad service. Before arrive to CVS I checked the photo service hours and they said the service is closed until 10:00 PM. I arrived around 8:30 pm and the customer service said that they closed the photo service at 7:00 pm when i leave I just heard from the other coworker that she should say until 6:00pm. I came again asking to the worker ANGELICA why don't want to help me with the service and she just try to avoid it said that is busy and the place was empty and the have 2 workers more at the area. This is the worst pharmacy I've been to. I switched from Pico-Robertson Walgreens, which was bad enough. This CVS is worse. The store is messy and nasty, One never knows if the drive-thru is open or not. The pharmacy is a mess - they open late, order prescriptions without bejng asked, lose orders, take crazy long time to get orders, and don't answer the phone. I'm guessing he didn't want to call to get my medication transferred from Kaiser . When I left and called the minute clinic cvs they were confused that the pharmacist would tell me to do that . I never come to this CVS , but the ones closer to my house didn't have the Benadryl I needed and they did. I have the common flu with fever and little cough. I come here at 8pm and pressed the button so someone could come and open up the drawer and I can get the medicine. So I let 5 mins go by and no ones comes , I press the button and go up in the front and there's 1 customer in line and 2 people behind the register, they tell me please wait about 5 mins because they are short on people. Okay I understand ( do get I am sick and just want my meds and get out ). I go back waiting there another 10 mins to still no one and when I come in front they have 0 customers and both gentlemen are on there phones. I go up and ask again , than this guy name Arron proceeds to help me, he's walking slower than a turtle with his pants so far down. This is beyond unprofessional, and when he gets there all he say is "what you want". This CVS needs to hire more respectful people who actually want to work. I waited over 25 minutes on hold to transfer a prescription and no one has answered the phone.

Since covid-19, I've been picking up my prescriptions using the drive thru. On the positive side, it's very quick and I don't have to interact with any people. But on the negative side, the place where I pick up the medicine is absolutely filthy and disgusting. It looks as if it should be in a war-torn city, rather than in Los Angeles. I usually have to wear gloves, and thank God my medicine is always in a bag. Somebody needs to lend or give CVS some money to scrape away the dirt and the filth, along with a paintbrush to freshen up this kiosk. It's absolutely repulsive. read more

CVS at 4701 W Venice Blvd LA CA 90019 is a terrible pharmacy. They never keep same workers for some poor management reason. They let former pharmacy Mgr and assistant Mgr. Go almost 2 yrs ago and it's a mess over there. They need to get Sharona and David back. Always long slow line. Numerous pharmacy calls unanswered because one worker, quite often, has to do it all. Last Saturday morning store manager had to look on worker's roster to see who was due in. As usual, carpet has nasty spot every other step you walk upon. They are a disgusting disgrace to community. However, as I look over other CVS reviews, this is same nasty reviews I see. Poor company with dumb ads so-called managers. read more

I placed a same day photo order online. The following day I went to retrieve my order. After waiting in line, I was told it would be about an hour or so to have them printed. I explained they were one hour/ same day photos and they had ample time to print them. I was told the website is wrong, CVS no longer offers same day or one hour photo printing. I was advised that one has to physically go in and wait for an associate who knows how to print photos to be available, then they will retrieve the order from online and put them in cue to have them printed while you wait. That was so odd because the website clearly states otherwise. Also I just printed sameday photos last week at a separate CVS location. read more

BUT did you know... they have a drive-thru pharmacy and when I used it for the first time a week ago I WAS AMAZED BEYOND BELIEF. People, the future IS HERE. They have one of those air-powered canister/messanger machines since you talk to the pharmacy through an intercom and the console is across from where the actual building is. Does this make sense? I prefer to go to CVS rather than any other pharmacy but I avoid this particular Cvs like the plague. The pharmacy here is absolutely incompetent and rude. Now that they have plastic sneeze guards all over the pharmacy, the pharmacist and the technicians use this as an excuse and act like they cannot hear you through a measly piece of plastic. I left a prescription for pain medication with them for my mother-in-law who has two broken toes and they told me 15 minutes So I went outside to feed my baby who was waiting in the car with my husband and when the 15 minutes was up I started walking to the pharmacy and as soon as the technician saw me she quickly began to close all the registers and the rolldown door and I told them I literally just dropped off my prescription there is no co-pay and I know all I have to do is sign for it and they pretended like they couldn't hear me and then after I yelled at them again if I could please get this medication for my mother-in-law who is in severe pain all the pharmacist said was no we are closed we are closed no I understand that there are closing times but when I dropped off the prescription they did not tell me that they were about to close or else I would not have left the store and I would've waited right there.As a pharmacy you would think that the pharmacist would want to help patients rather than pretending not to hear them and closing the doors on them and if a prescription has no co-pay and all they literally have to do is scan it out for you I don't see what the problem is. I honestly think that this CVS makes all other CVS's look bad because this is one of many horrible interactions I've had with the pharmacist I believe her name is Nune who is obviously just there for a paycheck and does not care about the patients that they are hired to help. The manager, Juan is helpful, and goes out of his way to meet customers/ needs. I struggled with trying to change a battery in my key fob, and he came over and offered to help. This is definitely beyond the call of duty, and I was so thankful because I would not have been able to start my car had he not helped me change the battery in my key fob. I believe that his positive attitude trickles down to the rest of his staff because the 2nd time I went there, the cashier kindly asked if I needed help carrying out my purchases, all with a genuine smile. This store has the best energy and customer service out of any CVS or any pharmacy that I've been to. They get my 5* vote as long as Juan is at the helm as the store manager. read more

The cvs workers and pharmacy techs have always been great but the pharmacist was really awful. I prepaid for my antidepressant prescription and came to pick it up yesterday Dec 5th and they didn't have it. Pharmacist was rude and wouldn't tell me what was going on. I clued in that they just didn't have it-- either it was wrongly marked for delivery or pulled doesn't matter. Instead of explaining the situation for me he told me it would be 20 minutes. I waited 20 minutes and then 10 more for someone to help me. The prescription was right there behind the counter and the pharmacist didn't bother to call me up. This was yesterday. Today when i went to take it there were only 20. There was supposed to be a full 30. So I go back and the tech is super nice again but the pharmacist still won't give me the time of day. They take my pill bottle back there and fix it, but when the pharmacist calls me back to give me my correct prescription he hands me a printed picture of my prescription and says "just so you know we take pictures of every script we fill and there were 30 when i gave it to you yesterday" which made me feel so confused because he's accusing me of selling them? It's just an antidepressant WHO SELLS ANTIDEPRESSANTS? It's not even a scheduled drug. I get upset and say dude if you wanna give me this for your own conscience fine but I'm never coming back here. The reason for the one star review is because when i get back to my car, i realize this picture is from TODAY. meaning it's not even from yesterday he was just lying to my face about correctly filling my prescription. This interaction did not need to be like this and the pharmacist is such a jerk I absolutely do not recommend getting your prescriptions here. So needlessly combative and dishonest. read more

I don't know how you can run a retail location with one cashier and expect your customers to wait in line for over 10 minutes. I received shockingly horrible service today from James Lim and a women that was also working at the pharmacy. To sum up my experience, they make the DMV look like Nordstrom. I was the only one in line. First he ignored me even though he saw me. I politely asked if he could help me, and he replied that he is short staffed and continued to ignore me for four minutes. I finally asked the woman to help me and she was equally terrible. The last straw was when I asked the woman a question. Since she did not know the answer, so she made one up. DO NOT go to this pharmacy. My local CVS pharmacy is wonderful and actually care, smile and help Neither employee at the La Cienega location care or like their job...very sad. Typical CVS but one thing I do like here is the staff. They are so helpful and nice! They greet you here! It was my first impression as I've only been here once. This place looks like all the other CVSs around town but the plaza it is in is cuckcoo busy! The plaza just gives a very chaotic overly crowded feeling. The pharmacy department here is horrible my sister had to wait about a week or more to get her proper medication. They let my mom leave the pharmacy without mixing the medication and going over it with her. Can't trust the pharmacists here with such delicate matter. I've been frequenting this CVS for a few years now. This pharmacy really shines because of its attentive and dedicated staff. The cashiers, particularly Alejandra and Rosa, go above and beyond to greet you warmly. Alejandra made sure to inform us of any cash back promotions or additional discounts. I was impressed with her personable demeanor. It's funny how it's the small, simple things in life that make me truly happy and I realized this as I was carrying a conversation with sweet, Alejandra. Pharmacist ignored customers waiting in line for a consult. Even after the pharm asst called her over she continued to disregard customers and didn't even respond.
