I tried to buy some shampoo and laundry detergent using both my manufacturer's coupons and digital coupons. This CVS store does not let you use manufacturer's coupons along with CVS digital coupons and will also not let you use printed coupons while other CVS stores allow this. This is NOT part of CVS coupon policy but this specific store makes their own rules. The cashier, who was about 18 years old was very rude to me despite the fact that I make 3x as much money as he does have 4x the education as he does and make. Westchester is a strange city: there is a Starbucks in the parking lot of this CVS, and there's another Sarbucks 500 feet away. This CVS is a large 24-hour one next to Ralph's. There's also a CVS a block to the north on the corner of Sepulveda and Manchester. Strange town, but since it's next to LAX maybe it has to be... The reason I give this CVS a 5-star rating is that for some reason, unbeknownst to mere mortals, they have a small gourmet food section that trump's the entire inventory of the Ralphs next door hands down. When I needed ladyfingers for a cake, who had them? CVS. Want specialty olives for a martini, or just have that craving? CVS. They also carry coveted PG Tips tea, once only available in England. Imported pickles, organic salad dressing, and cookies will satisfy the Martha Stewart urges in your cooking endeavors. Look for the stainless steel kitchen-style shelving which separates the gourmet food from the pedestrian chips and peanut butter. Anyway, like I said this is a 24-hour CVS, great for insomniacs, midnight hair dye fixes before that interview, first aid runs for that papercut, nail polish cravings, and snacks. They have milk and eggs which is great since Ralphs is no longer open 24 hours. They also have a decent liquor department, one aisle which is locked from time to time, after 2am maybe? They have a Kodak photo center that allows you to print photos off a flash drive, SD card, camera, and nighttime is a good time to sort through all those family pics. Heads up on anyone coming to this CVS late at night: there are actually TWO CVS locations within about two blocks of each other, so don't get confused! The CVS on the corner of Sepulveda and Manchester - which is the store pictured in a review below with the gates down - is only open until 10 pm. The CVS at 8900 Sepulveda, which IS open 24/7, is a little further down Sepulveda (closer to LAX) between La Tijera and Westchester Parkway, and is in a large shopping area, adjacent to Ralphs. Other nearby stores include Robeks, Starbucks and Petco. Having said that, this store is fine. It's clean, it's well organized and it has a lot of stuff. Late at night it can be hard to find an employee to help you, and they usually only have one cashier lane open, so it can be a long wait. I wish they had self-checkout like some other CVS stores do. Still, if you need something in the middle of the night, it's a good place to stop. read more

This is one of the busiest CVS stores that I've encountered. It's right by the airport, in the heart of tons of businesses, and is open 24 hours. Good right? Not really. The problem is there's never enough staffing. They'll be a lot of ppl in line with one..maybe two registers open. And almost everytime I visit, the cashiers are questioning each other about their breaks...in front of customers. Hopefully management reads this and fixes the problem. read more

Review is for Pharmacy - The GOOD NEWS: It is rare that I need a prescription but when I have needed one, I used this pharmacy (the one next to Ralph's near LAX) because it is a large pharmacy and they are supposed to be open 24x7. The last two times (once this week - once about a year ago) I have asked my healthcare practitioner to call-in a prescription to this pharmacy, there has been no prescription when I arrived to pick it up - the last time took 4 phone calls from my Dr. and 3 visits from me. Still no prescription - I stood there talking to the person behind the register who couldn't find the prescription - with my doctor and his assistant on the mobile telling the person my name, the doctor's name etc. The CVS person still claimed not to have received a prescription order despite the doctor and his assistant having a confirmation # and despite having called it in 2 times on each of the last two days. The CVS staffer suggested that I bring a written prescription next time. There will be no 'Next Time'. My name is not difficult, the prescription was for a commonly prescribed antibiotic- last year for a non-narcotic painkiller after dental work. Enough - I will avoid CVS for everything. (I switched to this one after similar issues with the CVS in Palms which is near one of my commuting routes. read more

I've had to revise my review. Every single time I re-order my meds ON-LINE to pick up the next day or the day after, THEY ARE NEVER READY! NEVER! When you tell them that you placed the order online the day before they just either stare at you or tell you to go to the "drop off" to resolve/re-order meds. -Once I was told my an indifferent pharmacist, a young black woman, that there would be a TWO HOUR wait because they were "very busy". I was annoyed because I re-ordered them online the day before and as usual... not ready so I stayed and waited anyways. It was actually ready 5-6 minutes. Was she just trying to get me to leave, ruin my day or was she just being a bitch? Hmmm, maybe all? -Another time when I complained about my stuff not being ready for pick-up the pharmacist, an older Asian man, said he didn't know anything about it because he doesn't usually work that CVS location. He then suggested I call and actually speak to someone over the phone next time to ensure they get filled. WTF?!?!?! What is the point of doing it online then? I'm trying to avoid being put immediately on hold as soon as you call. They are busy! He then shouts (nicely though) from across the depart while on the computer "which meds do you need?" C'mon, are you serious? You want me to shout out my personal business outloud in a busy store? Do you know anything about being discreet and professional? Terrible customer service from the pharmacy department's clerks, specifically DELISA!!! I have to agree with the previous 36 bad reviews about the pharmacy department at this CVS location, that were probably due to the clerk's rudeness, unprofessionalism, condescending and disrespectful treatment of their customers. I felt bad for the pharmacists who were nice and helpful enough but overwhelmed by having to assist the customers that the clerks simply dismissed and refused to help. Instead of assisting customers find their prescriptions, she simply states "we have nothing here for you" and allows them to leave the store without the medicine they need or helping them find them. I truly hope they replace this staff for the sake of those customers that need extra help and patience in find their medicine, especially during this difficult time. The CVS store department staff are helpful and professional, thus completely different from the pharmacy department. DO NOT GO TO THIS CVS LOCATION FOR PHARMACY SERVICES! read more

The new staff is horrible. Not as efficient as the old crew. The new pharmacist needs a little help. Instead of asking me when I would like to pick up my prescription, she told me that I would have to wait an hour. In the past the pharmacist would have it done in 15 mins. No one has a sense of urgency. Hopefully, they will get better, as I have been going there for 8 years and I have never had an issue. Huge mistake to disregard all the negative comments especially concerning the pharmacy. I'm from out of town staying at a nearby hotel. I had a sick kid I took to urgent care that called in a prescription. I got the text it was ready. My kid is waiting in Uber while I run into get his medicine. It wasn't ready. I explained my situation and they could care less. I expressed my frustration, still could care less. But they were able to call me a name after I walked away. With so many people saying the same thing management looks at this thinking, what a bitch. Not ever thinking, what could we do to improve. There's always another pharmacy within minutes. I like this CVS because it's large and spacious and has everything I'm looking for. I like this plaza in general, even though parking can be a pain due to the heavily congested parking lot. I also like that on a recent shopping trip here the cashier allowed me to use multiple coupons even though I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to use them in conjunction with each other. She manually put in the discount so I would get the full amount off my bill. read more

This location is always well stocked with cards and gift items for all occasions and they always have a great selection for upcoming events such as Easter, Mother's Day, etc. Convenient shopping for cards, little gifts and personal care items in one place. Parking is always plenty available and the staff has always been friendly and helpful to point me at the right isle for the items I need. read more

This review is specifically about the pharmacy and the call wait. I called into the pharmacy and they ask if I could wait a few minutes. I said sure thinking it wouldn't take that long. I was on hold for 30 minutes and still no one picked up so I hung up. The wait time to just refill a prescription is unbelievably bad. I will never use this horrible place again. Worst pharmacy ever! It does not seem like much has changed at this CVS. My girlfriend and I do a lot of cooking and after seeing the commercial and reading the reviews of the 'Ove Glove' we thought we would head out to CVS to purchase some for ourselves and some for gifts. The 'Ove Glove' commercial says you can only purchase them at CVS even though we found some online for an inflated price. We went to this CVS and began walking around looking the 'Ove Glove' and could not find them. We asked a CVS employee if they had any in stock. The employee stocking the shelves had no idea what the 'Ove Glove' was. We said it was a product we saw on TV, the employee directed us to the 'As seen on TV' section with no luck. We told the employee that this was the 3rd CVS we had been to looking for these items and no one seems to know where they are when the commercial clearly says you can purchase them at CVS. The employee went and asked his manager who was working a cash register, we could read her lips when she said 'Ove Glove' with a total blank look on her face and we knew that was not a good sign. We thanked the employee for his time and continued our search. Imagine our surprise when we went up and down every aisle and actually came across a section of the store dedicated to selling 'Ove Gloves.' It is just amazing that we visit your store for 15 minutes and are able to find the product, you work there all day and have no idea what we are talking about. This CVS Pharmacy is very poorly managed/run. They often forget to send out refills to the doctor, they often forget to order medication when they are out of your prescription medication, and are generally forgetful and slow in responding to you. I've had to follow up multiple times for fulfillment each of my medications that aren't automatic and have slowly transferred each medication to another CVS pharmacy that is a little further from my house. I've not had any of the issues with the alternate location. So I can tell it's not a CVS issue, but is an issue with this one location. My wife transferred her scrips long ago, but the people who work at the checkout are nice and helpful enough. It's the pharmacists and the manager of the pharmacy that seem to be fairly incompetent-at least as far as doing the work on behalf of the customer. There are plenty within a mile or two of this one. Take 5 extra minutes to go to an alternate. read more

Longest line ever... The customers here were friendlier than the employees. The employees seem stressed out and cranky. Maybe if they had more help? Especially, the pharmacy department! I guess they don't realize that customers in the pharmacy have sick family members at home. We are exhausted too. And, if I ask you a question about the medication it is because I don't know the answer. Trust me, I do not want to be there any longer than you want me here! The staff here is lacking, nice store awful staff. I went in to make a simple exchange, the previous item I bought was awful and I wanted to replace it with a better item. When I went to the register the girl processed my return and asked for the card that I paid with, at which point I asked her can't I just do and exchange?? She replies back oh I don't know how to do an exchange, they've shown me a bunch of time but I can never remember how to do it and giggles like that's a totally normal and okay thing. Seriously??! I'm not upset that it had to be done it 2 transactions I'm upset that the staff is obviously not trained to do their jobs properly and at any other place of business that would be unacceptable. I came in on my lunch break because I needed to get new headphones and a charger cable for my iPhone. Both approximately $20 items were under lock and key and there was a "customer service" button you could press that didn't seem to be connected anywhere. It literally looked like they stuck a Staples "easy button" to the aisle as a joke. Lol. No one showed up to help and there didn't seem to be any staff walking around, I only saw the 2 woman at the counter. I ended up leaving the store because I couldn't get what I needed. They made numerous calls on my behalf to the doctors office, my insurance company and another pharmacy to make sure that I had my prescription before leaving town and boarding a flight. I always find some of the best greeting cards here. Plus you can find cheap snacks and all of the little miscellaneous things that you might need. The best tip I can give to you about this place is to look for the younger cashier to check you out at the register...otherwise you'll be there all day and night! read more
