I can't go back to this place. Waiting in lines behind people with pocket full of coupons is driving me crazy.

Dropped in on a Thursday around 3:00pm. The 2 main cash registers each had a line. I was in one of them. The male cashier told everyone to form 1 big line down aisle 5. Obviously, people in both lines didn't know who should go in front of who so it caused confusion. The line was moving slowly. Finally I was first in line. Then the female cashier told me to go to a cash register that was somewhat hidden on the far side of the 2 self check cash registers. I get there and there was a customer already in line so basically I went from being first in line to being second in line. I don't know how there could be so much confusion regarding how many lines there should be and where the line should form. read more

I went into CVS in Los Gatos on Blossom Hill Road last night to pick up a prescription and I'm standing there waiting in line and actually there wasn't anyone in front of me, but I was standing there being ignored. I should say more correctly and finally this lady looks up and you know says, can I help you well she knew darn well she wasn't gonna help me. She had taken all the money out of the drawer. I held up my phone at that point after being there for a couple of minutes is that 8 o'clock? I said it's 8 o'clock right now I've been standing here you're going to tell me that you're not gonna wait on me And she was extremely rude as they often are at that pharmacy. Anyway I walked out and then I went oh no, I'm not leaving here without my prescription. I was here in time. Went back in another employee helped. Me and I have now made a complaint to CVS about Jocelyn Ortiz who should never be a manager. You've got to have better social skills than that to be a manager. Hard to believe she is But it's no wonder they have a 1.9 stars and as I told the guy it's a shame that Pharmaca closed because Walgreen bought them up and closed them because that was their competition. Walgreens in Los Gatos is just as bad and unfortunately Pharmaca that was a phenomenal store with the best customer service is now gone so I'm doing online push a button and have it delivered to my house, so I never have to deal with these Idiots again read more

My husband has a horrible experience at the pharmacy! They made him sit and wait for his prescription for an hour finally to be told that they don't have his medication. That was very rude for them to let a very sick man with the flu sit and wait there for an hour and then to tell him that we don't have what you came for! I forgot my daughters bottle cleaner when we went on vacation so came in looking for one here. Funny, Whole Foods across the street does not carry so I was grateful there was a CVS across the street. I was able to find a Munchkin Bottle Cleaner Brush and even better, it was buy one get one 50% off. We use these at home so I stocked up a bit. I was in and out of the store within minutes and got exactly what I was looking for. The cashier was super friendly and provided excellent customer service! read more

I have been a customer for 9 years due to proximity. I am disappointed by the attitude and continual push to refill prescriptions even when you don't want to. I have had to download CVS app to keep my prescriptions up to date but looks like that's not enough. Tonight they auto refilled a prescription i had archived! In the past they would auto refill two prescriptions for the same drug with different strengths when i explicitly asked them to retire one of the two. Good thing I caught it. Are they looking out for the customer's safety or their top line? What's more important to you? Ask yourself that question.... read more

Normally I don't review chains but people should get a heads up about the pharmacy. It is incredibly slow and seems backlogged in medication. As in there is literally too much medication waiting to be picked up, not enough space, not enough employees, too many customers, and way too much time wasted waiting. I have never see such a crowded pharmacy. The most frustrating part is the employees will always quote a "15-20 minute" wait. My "15 minute wait" turned into 1 hour and my name was called along with 4 other people which created another line and more waiting. The employees are cordial enough but the wait is terrible. When I went to drop off my prescription there were no lines but then BOOM they tricked me! Go somewhere else if you can. read more

I have put up with the occasional rude employee, incorrect prescriptions, disorganization and extremely long wait times at the CVS pharmacy for many years. Today sent me over the edge and I will no longer bring my business to the CVS on Blossom Hill. The pharmacist and assistant working 10/21/21 were extremely rude and disrespectful to not only myself but the customers ahead of me. I brought it to the Store Manager's attention and it was clear to me that my business was not valued. Luckily, there are many other pharmacies in the area. read more

Worst service ever. It is a Wednesday and I have been on hold and not been able to get through to the pharmacy all day. I have been on hold twice, both for over 49 minutes and then got disconnected. I called the store manager and she said sorry, they are busy. Not acceptable when you are trying to get medication for someone and can not leave the house. I then called back later and you go through all of the " Push #2, Push number 3.... and then it just hangs up on you. Scary and will be taking my prescriptions else where read more

This is probably the best CVS around.The first thing is that It doesn't have the awful grey ratty carpeting that I run across in all the other CVS stores I've been in. Second is that the cosmetics manager at this store is friendly, knowledgeable young lady that knows a tremendous amount about about skin care and skin products. She is always so helpful. I had a return that I needed to do and thank God I was given no hassles when I made the return. Of course I had my receipt. read more

The Store Manager here really need to kick it up a notch. Help your cashiers, don't just stand there watching people line up behind one! Also the customer facing staff should have a reasonably clean appearance - the one looked like she'd just rolled out of bed, and her clothes were stained and sloppy. The store has way more "goods" than Rite-Aid across the street, and I want to transfer my prescriptions over to this side of the 17, but I think i'll go to Rite-Aid. read more

Great pharmacist. Great cashier. I have no idea why people have only given this place two stars. This is the fastest and most competent pharmacist I have ever encountered. I was in and out in approximately 45 seconds. He was extremely friendly as well despite the pandemic. Also, the cashier was nice, and had a really cool haircut. This is the best pharmacy experience I've ever had. They even had my insurance already on file with no problems when usually my insurance is a total mess. I appreciated this CVS so much. Really that cashier deserves a promotion. Also the pharmacist. If pharmacists can't get promotions, then a raise would be cool. read more

2 employees at CVS are mean people and make going there a terrible experience. LORI and DEBBIE- I'm not sure why you are there when you clearly dislike your jobs and are rude to customers. I'm an Instacart shopper and trying to make some money since I am out of work since Covid hit. Asked Lori for help in finding 2 items and she assisted. On the third time (my 16 year old daughter was helping me) she told her "I don't make any money from this and it's not my job". Kind of seems like if you work at CVS it is your job to assist people finding things. Debbie at the checkout counter- wow! Definitely the meanest sourest person in the store. I needed an item for the Insta order that was behind the counter and she was impatient, rude and just plain witchy. She slammed the candles on the counter so hard my daughter had to check she didn't break them. Then she left the Nicorette OUT OF THE BAG and I went to deliver the item to customer realizing it was missing. Had to go back to the store and DEBBIE said "you forgot them" Well no, you didn't put them in the bag. Second delivery trip on the Insta order. My Insta tip went from $10 to $0. CVS, these two employees make this place an awful experience. I just cancelled my Rewards Card there and will never take another Insta order there. read more

The worst goddamn pharmacy in the world if you're trying to get a prescription here just shoot yourself it's not even worth the fucking trouble. I've never in my life written a negative review for a place bc that feels way too mean but this place has driven me to do it. They are clearly grossly incompetent and do not give a shit about you. I put in a prescription 2 weeks ago but there was an issue I had to resolve so I said ok I'll fix it. Fixed it a week ago and try to call this place to see if It's there. I've called them 6 separate times and they've never once picked up the phone. They just leave me on hold for hours until I just have to give in and hang up. The worst was when I called them at 5 pm, 4 hours before closing, and they left me on hold until they fucking closed and the call disconnected on its own. Even called the actual store around 7:30 while I was still on hold to ask them what tf was going on in the pharmacy and they say there's only one person ahead of me in line and it'll be a matter of time before they pick up. that definitely did not happen. I end up asking someone to go check if it's there for me, bc it is apparently too difficult for them to pick up a phone, and they say only one of them is in stock but that they won't know when the other one will be in bc the pharmacist took a lunch (at 6 pm? Ok I guess). They text me after that saying one is ready and to call them. I'm left on hold for 3 hours before I give up. Ask someone else the next day to go check, and they say the only person who can restock is the pharmacist who just took a 2 week fucking vacation so it probably won't be in stock for a "little while". So why didn't they restock yesterday?? Or when they first got my prescription 2 fucking weeks ago???? I don't know if they're under staffed or what tf exactly is going on back there but they need to fix their shit bc this is just pathetic and disgusting. I would rather kill myself than try to get a prescription here ever again and that is barely an exaggeration. I don't deserve this stress when I'm just trying to make sure that I can consistently take the medication that was fucking prescribed for me. I've been to some terrible pharmacies including one where they lost my medication on 5 separate occasions before I switched but this place takes the goddamn cake. Hope they shut down. read more

Can't stand this store. Very poor customer service. No, actually, no customer service. Unfortunately my insurance is requiring me to go to them for my prescription so I don't have much of a choice but after today I will start using the one on Union and Camden and hopefully they are better. They are the chosen pharmacy for my insurance and I am required to fill 3 months of prescriptions at a time. But they never seem to have that much in stock and I end up having to come back to pick up the rest. They also don't bother to call when they get it in even though they assure me they will. This has happened 3 times now in a short period of time. So tired of it. AND I have a wonderful Walgreens up the street from where I live. read more

This review is for the pharmacy staff. What an excellent group of pharmacy staff! I ordered a refill and presented a new rx today. I said I would wait. I decided to walk over to Peet's for a refreshment; figuring I would have a bit of a wait. I was in the Peet's line and got a text saying my rxs were ready for pick up! I swear it had been 5 mins. Every time I have used this pharmacy I am so happy! Everyone is so good at completing an order. Totally worth the drive to have such a wonderful experience! I have never EVER had such an experience at the Bascom/Hamilton CVS. They are incapable of fulfilling a rx in less than 40 mins! Kudos to CVS LosGatos! read more

As a long time respected member of society in Los Gatos having been here for over 30 years, I have used this CVS pharmacy for most of that time. I guess that I expect to be treated with respect. I would say that within the last year it has changed hands and with that came a group of disrespectful, rude workers at this pharmacy. Some workers are downright nasty! The exception is the head pharmacist, Johnny who does an excellent job. However, the rest of the staff needs training on how to be pleasant with the customers that are paying them the money to keep them in business. Even though the app might say that your prescription is ready, when you get to the window to pick it up, often times it is not ready. In addition it seems that I need to call for every prescription in advance to ask them to fill it and then again to make sure that it has been filled and is ready for me. That is very time consuming especially when their hold times are so long. I understand that they have a lot of prescriptions to fill but perhaps in order to keep their customers happy they need to hire more workers and to do more training on how to be pleasant on the phone and face to face. read more

On numerous occasions has contacted me to tell me my prescription is ready and when I go to pick it up, they do not have it. They also horrible with communication and often times refill the incorrect Rx or fail to contact the Dr. when they say they will. When you complain to them they do not seem to care. read more

Employees are nice but what's the point in having 3-4 cash registers at the pharmacy if they only use one? The last three times a came in there were an average of 8 customers waiting in line with only one friendly (but slow) cashier. Your customers should never have to wait that long. The store could actually receive a couple more stars; the staff is always friendly, and they have a decent selection compared to other CVS locations. On the other hand, the pharmacy itself deserves negative stars. First of all, they are always "out" of my medications, but say they can order it (several days wait time). I want to kick myself for even attempting to drop off my prescriptions there when I should know better by now. Never had that problem at the Camden CVS. Also, I have to agree with the reviewers below; this pharmacy is horribly mismanaged, and I too have received eye-rolls and a bit of attitude from the technicians. The "Pharmacy Manager", Mandy, could use a little (or a lot) more training on customer service, as well as their pharmacy procedures in general, instead of answering "I don't know" to every question. Having dealt with Kaiser pharmacies most of my life (even though I know they have a bad rep), I would have to say they are 100% more professional, organized, knowledgeable and friendly than any of the Los Gatos CVS Pharmacy staff I've unfortunately had to encountered. i had a similar experience as Czarina below. the pharmacy is terribly mismanaged. i received a call notifying me that my two presciptions were ready. after going through check in, then getting called up, only one of my medications was ready. then i was asked to wait again, then waited long enough that I had to go check with them. then - oops! - turns out that the second med wasnt in stock. then the girl told me to just come back tomorrow to check and rolled her eyes when i said i would wait to return until they called me. now i'm here again after getting a call. i've spoken to three people, had my meds change hands three times, waited 30 minutes, stumbled through a convo with a lady who barely speaks english, and i still don't have my meds. won't be coming back, ever. read more

This review is for the pharmacy only. The cashiers there are wonderful and I would give them 5 stars. The pharmacy recently gave me the wrong RX. My husband picked up my meds and when I looked at it (Symbicort) I knew it was not the correct dosage. I had to find the time to go back down there, stand in line and tell them this was given in error. The quickly replaced it with the right dosage but without even an "I'm sorry". All they said was they would have to write a report on this. No "sorry you had to come all the way down here again and stand in line". Nothing. read more

Pharmacies should be immaculate. I don't know what this pharmacy looks like behind the counter, but the counter, cabinetry and floor around it could all use a good scrubbing. Dried spills, stains and old adhesive do not inspire any confidence in what is taking place out of the customer's eye sight. read more

I'm very unhappy with this pharmacy, which I have used for many many years. I was given a prescription for Levoquin by an urgent care doctor for a bad sinus infection. I took a 10 day dose and while I was on a cruise part of the time. My arm started to ache and 3 days ago it became very swollen and painful. I had to go to the emergency room because I couldn't sleep and it hurt so bad and was so swollen. Turns out I have Tendonitis, and when I mentioned I had just finished taken Levoquin, the doctor said that was what caused the Tendonitis. (I couldn't figure out what I could have done to get Tendonitis). I looked up Levoquin and was horrified. It is a very dangerous drug that is only to be used as a last ditch measure because the side effects (all bad) outweigh the benefit. The doctor that prescribed it to me was an idiot. She never tried anything else and I am 60! One of the side effects is the tendon problems and many many more. When I picked up the Levoquin from CVS, they NEVER counseled me or gave me any warnings on this medication, even though their paperwork says counsel on it. IF I had known how very dangerous this medication was (3 warnings in this year alone) I would never have taken it. Now I have shoulder problems that I have to go to physical therapy and I have to wait and see if the medication has any more complications (up to a year they can happen AND damage can be permanent). How did CVS miss my consultation for such a dangerous drug? I am changing to Walgreens. read more

Overall, the store is probably 3 stars. This is a review of the pharmacy. We chose this location since it is close to our home. We needed flu shots. We waited at the "drop off" window for a few minutes until a woman came to begin the paperwork. She told us to wait until we were called. We sat down and waited. Our names were not called. 45 minutes later, another customer arrived in the waiting area (we were in the "shot" chairs). A pharmacist arrived shortly and administered his shot. She asked what we wanted. I told her we were waiting for flu shots. She said "I was at lunch" (if we had been told the pharmacist administering injections was at lunch, we would have gone elsewhere). She said she would look for the paperwork. Our names were called a few minutes later. There was nothing to pay but more paperwork was given and we filled it out. We waited some more. Then the pharmacist arrived to give the shots. She apologized for the wait. This was appropriate, but what followed was not appropriate. She repeatedly blamed us, saying we must have not heard our names. (she apparently forgot that the 45 minutes would have not changed since she was at lunch). Never blame the patient/customer. To add insult to injury, they did not give us the 20% off coupons that were advertised. We will be going to Walgreen's next year. read more

I'm not one for leaving a one star review because I like to give everybody the benefit of the doubt. However the employees that work in the pharmacy here at CVS are extremely rude and very impatient. I get that they're busy and that over the holidays there a lot of people sick, but it doesn't mean that they need to be so rude. I've literally went on a wild goose chase all over town today trying to get a prescription filled and received completely different information from them. First they told me my insurance had been canceled, which is not true. After half an hour or more on hold with my insurance company, the gal told me that she would call CVS for me and get them all of the information that they needed. Another 20 minutes on hold and the gal from my insurance company took care of it for me. I went there to pick up my prescriptions and one of them was $250 because they didn't run the insurance after I had spoken to the insurance company. They then had me go to another window where the consultant told me oh yes of course it's CIGNA. They're just a bunch of stupid heads over there and they don't know what they're doing. I was so caught off guard that she said that so then she proceeds to tell me that my insurance does not cover this particular medication. Why in the world didn't that they tell me this five hours ago after I made three trips there to pick it up? Complete lack of communication. I would've been OK with that, but her attitude and her poor choice of wording was completely out of line. I will never get a prescription filled there ever again and I won't shop there for anything else either read more

I rarely shop CVS and the few times I do, I almost always come to regret it. I realize it is Christmas week and everywhere has lines and is busy, but...they advertised candy on sale-they have very little candy, then no one seems to be able to help me find what I need, I find it and get in line there are three people in front of me, only one cashier. After a few minutes, cashier calls for backup. Backup cashier opens register and lets a woman walk right up (despite that there are now 2 people in front of me and 2 people behind me) and starts to ring her up. He has the sign out that says the register is not open. Some lady walks up to that register and puts her stuff down. I say, "Excuse me, there is a line and that register says it is closed." Backup cashier says that he is open. Since he still did not make the lady get in line nor did the original cashier say anything. I was so infuriated, I left my stuff and left. I had gone to Costco earlier in the day-I spent less time in line then I did at CVS! I don't care what they have on sale, I doubt I will go back to this CVS. read more
