I was told to come back in a few days for my medication--but I was in pain and needed it immediately. I repeatedly explained that I was in pain and needed assistance. The employee initially refused to call my insurance, saying they wouldn't pick up their call, and only after I insisted multiple times did she make the call--at which point the issue was resolved immediately, and my medication was approved. As a patient fresh out of a three-hour dental procedure, I should not have had to spend 40 minutes pleading for someone to do their job simply because the manager wasn't present. It's unacceptable that a patient in pain must beg for help or know a manager's schedule in order to get a prescription filled at this location.

I am writing this review in utter disbelief and anger after the appalling service my 71-year-old grandmother received at our local CVS pharmacy from a pharmacist named Jessica. This experience was not only disappointing but downright disrespectful and negligent. When my grandmother went to pick up her prescription, Jessica bluntly turned her away, claiming the prescription was wrong. This claim was later proven false, but the real issue was Jessica's attitude. She was dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. When we tried to discuss the matter, she cut us off, saying, "I said what I said, I'm not talking to you anymore." This is unacceptable behavior from someone in her position. Even after correcting the supposed issue with the prescription, Jessica and the pharmacy staff refused to accept it without any logical reason. They effectively left an elderly woman without her necessary medication. It's not only unprofessional but also inhumane. This experience has left us shocked and deeply upset. The lack of empathy, professionalism, and basic human decency displayed by Jessica is alarming. I am concerned for any vulnerable individual who might encounter this kind of treatment at a place where care and understanding should be paramount. The pharmacist at the "Consultations" window (short, female, thin, dark hair, wears a mask) simply does not like to answer questions a customer has about their new medication, even if it is a medication one has never used before. I can appreciate that she does not like the customers, does not have a customer service-oriented personality or is just having a bad day. No problem: my wife and I don't go there to talk! But the woman who usually works the "Consultations" window consistently seems to hate the customers, does customers a real dis-service by not having even a small willingness to help the customer understand how to properly and safely use a new medication. We were only there for 3 minutes! We didn't need much of her time at all. But she was simply nasty, unfriendly and unwilling to consult. Note to CVS. this is what the "Consultations" window is for!! Not only is this unprofessional. But it does not represent CVS well at all. (The other counter folks at this CVS are very nice.) On top of this - with Rite Aid recently closing nearby stores, CVS was simply handed all former RiteAide business. The least this pharmacist can do is do her job and respect CVS' customers. read more

I didn't want my first review to be bad, but this is just outrageous, first the parking is awful, don't go there near lunch hours, after what I thought were hours of my life I won't get back, finally I get a space. Went inside and proceeded to gather the stuff I needed, with no one whatsoever to even offer help, (wouldn't need the help if they were A BIT more organized), tried to get a prescription, I thought the people working there were supposed to have at least some kind of education, (being the fact they handle Pharmaceuticals) guess I was wrong... the person there even though was wrong gave me attitude... although I gave this person a piece of my mind, it was just a so frustrated experience. read more

The cashier laughed at him while he tried to purchase nicorette gum (to stop smoking a.k.a get healthier) and she demanded another form of ID after seeing his valid over 21 ID since she was in disbelief. Honestly one of THE worst CVS's i've ever been too. The staff is rude, and the manager laughed at my disabled daughter. I can no believe it!!! I'm still trying to get ahold of corporate, but they keep "transferring" my calls to another department. Then, once i get transferred for a 7th time, i get put on hold!!!! They offered to give me the one box today if I needed it right away. I asked the pricing and they gave me the 90 day pricing. I then asked what the price was if I had a 30 day prescription. The price made sense for the 30 day supply. I then asked if I needed my doctor to rewrite the prescription for 30 days. They said I could get the script as a 30 day supply without having to go through my doctor again. I then asked, what about the remaining 60 days? they said they would remain as refills. I'm a senior and I was supposed to get important medications that if I don't take I could get sick or worse meaning death. I paid for the medications and I paid for it to be delivered. They keep making excuses real flimsy excuses of why this happened or that happened or they don't return any correspondence. Any mix of this. I've had to call and speak to a social worker regarding elder abuse because I'm not able to get my medications even though I paid for them and also make a police report and I'm going to take it further and I'm talking to an attorney this coming week. Nate promised me that I would get the medications tonight Friday night between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. and didn't. And I didn't get it last night. And there's constant delays. Parmiz the other pharmacist is a narcissistic gaslighter. She hasn't even checked the messages since Tuesday afternoon. She tried to gas light me that I didn't return her correspondence on Tuesday when I did. And I have record of it. Maybe she needs to get off her lazy behind and check the text messages that come in. It's Friday today and she hasn't checked them since Tuesday. Unprofessional narcissistic attitude and lazy a very bad mix. They are just horrible. They used to be good and somehow it all went pear-shaped. Terrible people.

I literally watched three employees standing around chatting while people in line were waiting 20+ minutes. The vibe is just complete incompetence mixed with rudeness. I honestly don't understand how this place is still in business in a city like Santa Monica. Go literally anywhere else. I'd drive across town before ever stepping foot in here again.
