Had a bit of a panic with one of my critical prescriptions. Only had 1 weeks amount left in the bottle but CVS said insurer won't approve refill till 3 weeks from now. Thank goodness for Monica! The cashier today was very helpful and informative, her name is Lupe, I believe. She warned an older customer buying gifts cards about the gift card scam -- and I thanked her for doing this. A lot of scams occur towards the elderly, and the gift cards is a big scam. Please be aware of scams. Ask around, make sure it's not a scam. read more

I am a nurse to one of the rehab facilities here in Novato and happened to call CVS in grant avenue to follow up some medication prescription for one of our clients. I spoke to Masoud and this Pharmacist is very rude, slamming phone while you're still talking to him. Be careful to call back because he'll accuse you instead. The worst. I was in the hospital and released. Prescriptions was sent to the Novato CVS. Friend arrived at 4:55 five minutes to closing. He was told we do not have this prescription it is at the Grant St store. 9:00am this morning my wife drives to the Grant at store only to be told we have no record. Are you kidding me. I contact the Novato Blvd store this morning who sent me to Grant St and told we have your prescription. Wow! It's back to Walgreens and Safeway. read more

This CVS has become the absolute worst! Two weeks ago they were contacted by my dr because they hadn't filled an urgent script after 4 days. They never called back. Others scripts resent. Five days later finally filled! 9 days after urgent scripts had been sent! No communication with dr; staff nor me. I attempted to call them a dozen times! Held on for: 82 minutes; 71, 63 ,etc. Got frustrated and hung up. Contacted a supervisor yesterday she said that she was telling them to pick up so hold 39 minutes later I hung up. Okay, it's after work, about 5:30 pm and there is ONE cashier with about 5 people in line. So I opt for the self checkout. I scan a vitamin bottle to see what the price is (the price on the shelf was not clear) and I can't undo it. Can't take it off. I press the Help button, and wait. And wait. And wait. So I give up as the machine continues to ask me to press Finish and Pay-I'm not finished and I don't want to pay for the items I want to remove/delete. No one comes. So I return the items and walk out (all the while the machine is repeatedly asking me to pay). Before I'm out the door, I stop to tell the only cashier what is going on, to explain why the machine is continually asking me to pay. Not sure if he understood what I was talking about. Um, CVS, you have customers who want to purchase things from your store, but there is no one to help them! read more

I don't get the bad reviews here, Monica is seriously the best! She is always on top of her patients, and I say patients because that's how she treats me. She knows me, my meds, and has made an effort to call if anything is off. She checks on me when I walk through there for other things if I have started a new medication. The techs do seem to not know how to run the codes for insurance and prescription's but if Monica is working she is quickly there to fix it. I always recommend getting to know your pharmacist because they know more about your medications then the doctors do most times. I don't think I'll be changing pharmacy's ever, unless I move, or Monica leaves. That would be a sad day! It's tough to find a good pharmacy that cares and is helpful when issues arise. Unfortunately issues are unavoidable they will happen but having someone who knows what they are doing on the other end takes the stress out of the experience. read more

She always checks my meds before giving me a new prescription or if I buy something over the counter, she goes way above the call of duty. I made a flu appointment online but they did not honor it and made me wait with the rest of the folks that had just showed up. I waited 1hr and 15 minutes to get my flu shot. I asked the pharmacist why they didn't honor the online reservation system but was not given an answer just a blank stare. Not sure if he knew what I was talking about. The personnel in the pharmacy is a hit or miss in terms of friendliness or just plain courtesy. I think they are overworked hence all they just focus is on getting as the prescriptions out. If I could give 10 stars I would!!! I just want to say how helpful Catherine was. She knew where I could find the items I was looking for. She was very knowledgeable about the products sold. Also there seems to be a number of employee's that work here, yet she was the only one willing to help me. Also I couldn't find a cashier to check me out. Catherine stopped stocking shelves just to check me out. She is an asset to this company/store. Management should definitely give this young lady a raise/promotion. Why oh why did Long's sell out to CVS? This take-over is such a downgrade. Not only can I never find what I need, but guess what, neither can the clerks! I've been sent on way too many wild goose chases by the undertrained staff to have any kind of sense of humor about it. And don't even let me me out of the cage about the coupons! OMG...you feel like an idiot when you don't bring the coupons, but they are only valid for about a week, so unless you're in there every week, you're screwed. Finally, the management really needs to think about their employee smoking policy. They let the staff take their smoke breaks right in front of the store. Tacky, tacky, tacky. read more

I have to admit, even though this CVS is closer to my house, I tend to go to one that's further away. Unless I'm absolutely pressed for time, I try to avoid this location. The people who work there are not that informed or at least don't seem like it. There may be more than one manager, but anytime a manager needs to come to the register to fix something, it's not that efficient. All this and the lines are too long as well. I only go if I don't feel like driving an extra 3 miles. I rated it as moderate price wise, but it depends on what you're purchasing. I kept it in the middle choosing moderate. read more

Walked in looking for a specific type of makeup. Where they might carry that brand the shelf was almost empty and stuff was everywhere! Unopened boxes of stock waiting to go on the shelves all cluttering the floor. It appeared a small tornado had possibly just spun thru. Everything was all over and in disarray. Only one employee standing at the register but other than that the store was empty. I didn't find what I was looking for so I left. I'm not really a fan of CVS in general but this one is especially bad IMO. The only reason I gave this CVS 2 stars instead of 1 is that the Indian restaurant in the mall is the best in town. If you have to use this CVS make sure to get some tasty Indian food. read more

I like this CVS because it is usually more mellow then the one by Luckys. When I do go for coupon items as others have mentioned this CVS usually has the items in stock and are more patient and pay closer attention when ringing you up. read more

Just know - if you go here to pick up a prescription you will be waiting a minimum of 15minutes for an employee to come to the cash register to give it to you. Today it was 20 minutes. The pharmacists said they were both on conference calls. so strange. This place is completely understaffed. not sure how they are still around. I will say the cashiers at the front are all very nice. My issues built up over time. I have always had an issue with the receipts that are 4-5 feet long. What happened to being green? Next thing involved the Green Tag. I always bring in my own bag. With the Green Tag, each time you brought in your own bag you would get .25 cents towards a coupon. One day I went in with my coupon and was told that the Green Tag program was gone and my coupon was no longer valid. A better option would have been for CVS to drop the .25 cents to .10 cents per use instead of doing away with it completely. Final straw was when my daughter forgot to use one of the mile long coupons for 25% off the entire order. I went back the SAME DAY with the coupon and receipt and was told that I needed to bring back all the products that were purchased so that they could be "returned then repurchased" in order to receive the 25% off. I didn't come back and never will. I will no longer shop at ANY CVS. read more

Located in a very depressed strip mall, I have to honestly say this store actually is the vibrant anchor here. Due to its pharmacy and convenient location for locals living around, it draws in a decent amount of foot traffic that supports the otherwise sad businesses near. The interior is kept clean and organized. They usually have great deals and sales along with a friendly staff. I bought some Easter basket fillers half off today for under 15 bucks. The only area for improvement is the amount of staff available to check people out. There was a line ten people on each side deep to exit today. Over half my time was waiting in that line to purchase my items. I would pay a bit more for items if they had enough cashiers to get people out much more smoothly. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for over 20 years. This used to be the best pharmacy...the pharmacist and staff knew who you were, were pleasant, quick, etc. While waiting, I would shop for other things that I needed and easily spent several hundred dollars a year there. No more. I have filled my last prescription there and intend to find somewhere else to take my business. It takes a ridiculous amount of time to get anything there. I just dropped off one to get filled and had to wait 20 minutes because they didn't have the drop off window open (no sign or anything, just cardboard over the window). There were only 2 people ahead of me and they took forever (not the store's fault) but when I finally got to the counter, the woman disappears to the back and when she comes back, she asks the person who had just sat down what his name was. She didn't even acknowledge my presence until I said something. It is obvious that something is very wrong with that store because NONE of the people who used to work there remain and some of them had been there for years! The whole concept of customer service and acknowledging someone who is waiting is apparently totally lost on the staff here. read more

This has got to be the worst CVS i have ever been into. When I am in the area I really try to avoid going into this store unless i am in dire need of something. It's always the same slow ass lady at the cash register in the evenings. The manager always has this sourpuss look on his face. I dread when i have to go in here because i know i am going to spend at least 20 minutes waiting in line with one item because something always goes wrong. The items ring up wrong or someone has to get a price check done. It never fails. Avoid this store at all costs!!!
