Home Run! This CVS store is perfectly situated between the parking lots and Petco Park. Pick up all your peanuts and crackerjacks before you head into the park. Much cheaper than inside so you can buy more drinks! They have all sorts of items available at reasonable prices. Parking is easy and there are several self checkout kiosks. If you work in the vicinity, this CVS has got you covered. Step inside into a world full of snacks and an enviable liquor and beer isle. Lots of product to chose from and employees to help you find them. The outside may appear worn or rugged, but the inside is relatively tidy and well organized. Well, except for the line to purchase your products. But don't fret, there are also three self serve checkout machines for your convenience. I use these since they tend to be fractionally faster than waiting in line. read more

The pharmacy is bad, one time the machines went down and I got upset (I was in pain) and asked if they could hand write the prescription and they said no due to them having to check the insurance, so I understood but then the pharmacist said "there are other people waiting for their medications as well you, you're not the only one you know and their prescriptions are far more important". I could NOT believe what I heard! I asked them for help with finding cookies and I waited at least 15 minutes for someone's help, they tried asking the manager if they even sold that kind at the store and he was too concerned about a self checkout machine that wasn't working, and shushed the employee that was going to ask him. He was quite rude. The customer service is horrible. They ALWAYS MAKE YOU use the self checkout machines! I hate that! The security guard gets suspicious of EVERYBODY it seems like. read more

This location is small and the isles are crowded together. The grocery section is small and I cannot ever find anything on my list of staples. The atmosphere is uptight and I feel like suspicious eyes are constantly upon me while I browse around the store. The self checkout staff are very friendly and the wait is minimal. read more

As the reviews already indicate, this location and my pharmacist (Vladislav Davydov) are rubbish. Half the people in line were upset about something they had messed up. Including me. I got 40% less medicine for the same price I pay at my normal CVS pharmacy near my house. Shameful! I usually love CVS for it's consistency and reach. This CVS could use a Redbox since its near so many apartments. Food is priced okay. Everything else is same same. Security is a little follow-y and that degrades the shopping experience. That being said, I don't use prescription meds for anything so I couldn't tell about the pharmacy. read more

Where are you most likely to find and old lady that smells like a truck stop bathroom? CVS on C street, downtown. In fact, you're almost guaranteed that you'll see something out of the ordinary. That being said, this place has everything your normal CVS does and seemingly more. Add to that it's in a great location and this is a place me and my co-workers travel to at least a few times a week for various reasons. read more

To the girl with the dreads... thanks for ruining our day. My gf and I drove all the way from LA to get our passports from the san diego federal office. We ordered 1 hour photo at 8:45 on our way from LA expecting to pick up our passport photos quickly before our 11:00am appointment. She literally didn't even bother helping us find it. I said forget it and got the photos taken and printed at fedex office next door, but as soon as we went to the office they said our photos were too over exposed. Thank god they held our appointment as we had to go back and return the photos and when we returned to cvs to complain... another lady found our photos ready to go in a section where they keep "1 hour photos". Was it really that hard to ask a manager or check the database if you didn't know how to do it yourself? Most incompetent worker, that caused us to delay our whole day by hours and we drove all the way from LA. Thanks for that lovely experience cvs. I suggest you train all staff on how to at least help people pick up their photos. Looking at the reviews, this cvs has been hit pretty hard already so I suggest going to a different one to avoid any trouble. read more

I like this location, cause they have a really good selection of cosmetology stuff, while Rite Aid and Cvs in Horton does half of the variety. And I like that employees here don't bother you with million questions. read more

I was visiting San Diego from Seattle and left my medication at home on accident. I called CVS pharmacy to see if they could have my prescription transferred over to them from my pharmacy. They were so helpful and provided excellent service! I got my medication transferred and filled within 1 hour. I was notified my prescription was ready via text. This was a life saver for me! this place is disgusting....walkin up to the store all u smell is piss an see trash everywhere and to top it off there's always a homeless guy sitting outside the store asking for change the lines are super long because there's only two cashiers working at a time and the scan yourself registers are always broken the only reason reason this got two starts is they got a nice selection of booze lol read more

I love this place. I always find what I'm looking for, it is very clean and the girls running the register are really friendly. The biggest plus is that the prices are better than in my super market. Just in the afternoon I wish they would open another register because the customer line is really long. The manager just stands there instead of helping out but maybe that is beneath him :-) However, 5 stars in my book. I will continue to shop here for a long time read more

If you want to wait an hour come here . One cashier on a Friday ??!? Are you kidding me . I ran in to grab some bottle waters and immediately regretted my decision. I was surrounded by homeless people and could night find ONE person who worked there . Literally where were all the employees . I am a long time customer of CVS. I have been living with chronic pain for quite some time and have diligently been working with my primary care doctor and my OBGYN to figure out the problem. Last week my primary wrote me a prescription for a high mg Percocet. This is a very strong medication, and I can't take it while I'm working. This morning I had an appointment with my OBGYN and told him that my primary had recently written me a prescription for Percocet, but that I couldn't take it during the day time and asked him to write me a pain medication that was a lower strength. He prescribed me 5 mg Norco. I went to fill my Norco at the CVS this afternoon and the pharmacist, Vladi, berated me in front of a line of people. He refused to fill my prescription because I had the Percocet filled last week. He said to me, "If I called your doctor and told him you just got prescribed Percocet, he would probably void this prescription." I explained that I had already informed my doctor about the Percocet (which he could see in my chart anyway because both doctors work for the same company) and that he was intentionally giving me a less strong pain medication. However, he still refused to fill it, and said, "The DEA wouldn't see it that way." I left the store in tears, mortified, and in pain. How sad that in addition to what I already have to go through on a monthly basis, I have now been accused of drug seeking by pharmacist in front of a store of people. I have had the same prescriptions refilled by the same two doctors at the same pharmacy for a while now. I wont be going to this CVS anymore. read more
