The hospital recommended this pharmacy and sent the prescription here. Within 30 minutes, I got a call that the medication wasn't in stock nor available for 4 more days. I chose to put the order on hold. A few minutes later, I changed my mind and went to the same pharmacy to request them to transfer the order to another store. The pharmacist who helped was incredibly kind and helpful. Literally had two physical phones up to his ear to contact other stores and ensure they had the item in stock. That level of service is really REALLY special. He could have easily just redirected me somewhere else (16 miles away) and made it someone else's issue to deal with but instead, he chose to do the right thing and make sure what I needed was there before I left. To me, that shows integrity and commitment to work. Yes, the area is a little sketch. Yes, the parking lot has a lot of trash. Yes, the wait times can be a little long. But the customer service is top notch. I'd come back if I needed 24/7 medication in the future.

I had been experiencing severe tooth pain for several days, which I believe was related to my wisdom tooth. The pain was so intense that I could not sleep, and I was having sharp, throbbing pain that seemed to radiate through my head. A dentist prescribed me an antibiotic because of my condition. When I went to this Walgreens to pick up my medication, the female pharmacist on duty told me that I could not receive it unless I contacted my dentist and asked the dentist to call another Walgreens to confirm the prescription. At that point, it was already around 9:00 PM, and the dental office was closed, so there was no realistic way for me to do what she was asking. I was already in severe pain and became so overwhelmed that I cried at the pharmacy. I understand that pharmacists have policies and responsibilities they must follow, but I felt that the female pharmacist showed very little understanding or compassion for how urgent and painful my situation was. I was not asking for medication without a prescription -- the medication had already been prescribed by a dentist. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I later drove approximately 20 minutes to another Walgreens, where I was able to pick up the same prescribed medication without being required to call my dentist for additional confirmation. I am disappointed that the situation was handled so differently between two Walgreens locations. I hope this complaint can be reviewed so that patients who are experiencing severe pain and urgent situations can be treated with more understanding, compassion, and clear communication in the future.

Since my review in 2014, service within the Pharmacy has gotten better. The customer service provided is not great, but it's not bad either for me to rave or complain . This CVS location is very busy and often throughout the day there is a line waiting despite the time. Some days there are many pharm tech working so service is fast while other days there's not a lot and the line is slow. The pharm techs are fast at what they do and is able to answer insurance questions when I've inquired on it. Note: They do not open until 10am and closes later than the normal hour for lunch. I believe it's at 1:30pm.

She still made me wait an additional 25 minutes to process the script, and I asked if there was a separate space to pick up. She said that we would had to wait in line again. We spent a total of 1hr and 20 minutes to help my daughter get relief. To the pharmacist, I understand wanting to rush through patients because of the high demand, but if you just took a moment to listen and try to help me things would have gone smoothly. I'm a patient person, I work with 80 patients daily and I completely understand your frustration but learn to be patient and kind to those who look to you for help. You play a big role in helping people everyday.

I usually go to Walgreens for my prescription, however, when I tried filling an antibiotic for my daughter the Walgreens pharmacist told me that my product was only available as a compound, it was too expensive, and he couldn't get it. He proceeded to tell me that in all of his years of practice he hasn't seen this medication in the specific concentration being ordered. I thought this was a bit weird since I didn't think this antibiotic was out of the norm. I get it though the demands of working at a retail pharmacy is extremely stressful and he might have been too busy to research this particular drug. I proceeded to yelp some local pharmacy and found Senter Pharmacy. Within minutes the pharmacist at this location told me he could get it and the out of pocket cost was less than $80 vs the $500 Walgreens quoted me. When it comes to your health and your kids I want to feel comfortable with who I am dealing with. As a health care professional I was extremely happy with the service, professionalism, and knowledge I received from this pharmacy. I'm not sure why this place doesn't have better reviews but consider trying them out or giving them another chance.
