Truly the worst pharmacy service. Will no longer be getting my prescriptions filled here. Luis, the pharmacist, not sure how he got hired but wow his personality SUCKS!!! Came to get another prescription filled two days later by a female who has the same issue. No customer service. It's like they absolutely LOATHE their jobs. If you aren't happy, go work elsewhere!!! BRAVO to employee anthony rodriguez!!! If no one else says it I WILL. This young man exhibited courage that is hard to find especially here in the state of CA. I was present yesterday 2/14 at 1pm. This cvs employee Anthony went above and beyond to apprehend a shoplifting suspect. He used force to stop them from leaving and actually snatched some of the items they were attempting to walk out with from their hands. You should have seen him, he put his whole body on the suspect and didn't allow them to move until they had forfeited the merchandise. He was not letting go of the criminal at all it was awesome. Thankfully even followed them out to capture license plate. I would have helped him hold the thief down but I am a retied veteran, It would have been nice if his coworker showed the same enthusiasm for putting a stop to the criminal at all costs but she just continued helping customers. I as one who despises thieves was pleasantly surprised to see that this store has a no tolerance policy and is not afraid to get physical with the culprit and apprehend if needed even if it was for a few items. Too many others stores in CA are turning a blind eye to this behavior but not this one. Give the man a raise asap!!I will be emailing corporate and will not rest until I can speak to someone about this gentleman deserving a pay increase. Unfortunately cops never showed. Store claims to be open till 11pm, unfortunately that is not the case. I arrived at 10:20 pm on 3-12-21 after working a 13hr shift, just to find the doors locked and staff looking at me motioning their hand across their neck. Another customer out front was trying to pick up her prescription that she was just informed was ready. What kind of service is this? Totally unacceptable. I will find a way to notify there corporate office. These kind of actions should not be tolerated, especially with the situation the world is in ( Covid pandemic )..... read more

If I can give this location less then 1 Star I would for their pharmacy service. Drop off window is blocked. Stand in line for 5 min to find out that I have to go to consultation window only to be ignored by 3 staff members. I finally ask after another 3 min. of waiting if anyone is gonna help me. The woman said they are short staffed as she works to fill prescriptions for customers that are not standing in front of her. There is now a line behind me. Oh did I forget to mention I am typing this while I stand here waiting. Seems like the best use of my time. Regardless if you're short staffed, help people in front of you. At the very least acknowledged the customers that keep you employed. I am pissed that you took more time out of my life then needed. I have other options as a pharmacy and I will explore because of this. I never write 1 star reviews, as I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt. But may I just say, if you don't want to be helpful, especially to those who are in need of medication, DON'T WORK AT A PHARMACY! I called 4 times after my doctor sent in my prescription to check on the ETA of my emergency rescue inhaler, and I call, wait for 10 minutes, only to be told it, "wasn't sent." So I finally get fed up after the 5th attempt and call my doctors office, they sent it, as a fax and the pharmacist didn't check that, only the computer so here I am, the 6th time calling and I'm currently on hold for 15 minutes and counting, *long enough to write this*, to say, "Hi yes, can you please ALSO check the fax!!" Do I need to be a shift lead to get my own damn prescription?! Unacceptable. read more

The restrooms are always closed for customers. I was told they are broke, they are under construction yet it's always to be found untrue. I have called corporate regarding this issue along with a guy named Jason who said he handles all of the complaints for CVS which I also found to be untrue. Jason is very unprofessional and will hang up on you when you let him be aware that you will YELP call corporate along with OSHA. When I called CVS Corporate I was told, restrooms are to be open to customers at all times as long as the store is open. If this occurs to you don't call Jason if you're giving his number as he says he's the district training manager but have been told he's the store manager also. All I know is he needs much more training in customer service. He also had my first review deleted because I put his contact # here but don't bother with him just Google CVS Corporate contact and call them and ask to be called by a district manager Not Jason. CVS must have a plumbing proplem at all their stores. There is case law on this regarding refusal to allow a person to use a restroom. I can see law suits if CVS continues this. I love this cvs/pharmacy! The staff has always been helpful and courteous to me. Actually, I choose to get my prescriptions filled here rather than do mail order prescriptions like my insurance plan pushes. I've gotten to know many of the employees. I think people need to be more patient with the service/retail businesses. People seem to be much more demanding, and quite honestly, rude lately. I would say give this place a try if you live in the area. They have always been quick with prescriptions when I'm sick; and they always have my recurring prescriptions ready on time. read more

DON'T use this pharmacy!! I did because this was close to where I was living at the time, but it's not worth it. 1) They will substitute different drugs for your prescriptions. I had one specific GENERIC drug, and when I went to pick it up, they gave me a completely different brand (not a different generic, but like a worse CVS generic) and said this is what they get instead sometimes, and it's definitely the same because that's the law - but it was manufactured differently, or worse because it made me feel whacked out when I took it. BUT the still called it the same drug, and charged me for it. :/ 2) They are expensive! They definitely inflate the prices of prescriptions here. 3) Don't try and get your photos developed here, as they can't develop your photos on-site. Instead, they ship them off to a lab and it takes 10 days to get them back. 4) Their enpolyees are very rude. +1 star for the employees there, who are nice and try and be helpful despite the awfulness of the business. read more

Please don't advertise yourself as a 24 hour pharmacy when in fact you are a 23 hour pharmacy. I would think that an established and well known chain like CVS would have the foresight to have a back up pharmacist on hand when the other pharmacist goes on his/her lunch break, especially since medical needs and prescription needs happen at any given time, which is why we need 24 HOUR pharmacies. I needed a prescription filled at 11pm and if it had been just for me, I would not be this upset. But it was for my infant who needed the medicine right away. A baby can't wait for your lunch break to be over in order to get his/her medicine that he/she needs in order to go to sleep!! What not to love about CVS? They have every skin care brands I can think of (except high-end brands of make up and skin maintenance of course). In here they have wide varieties of skin care, nail products and perfumes. I can compare and pick a brand which I think is the best. Unlike Target and Walmart, brands are usually limited. I love their great selection of perfumes. They have most of my favorites like: Acqua di Gio for men Ralph Lauren Romance DKNY Delicious Paris Hilton Tommy Hil Girl Dolce and Gabanna Issey MIyake I love their discounts! The last time I went here, I saved $8.50 just by swiping my CVS member card. It is freaking awesome! I was purchasing the Loreal Collagen Micro-Plus Vibrating Eye Treatment and it's $19.99. With the discount plus tax, I end up paying $14 and some change. This store in particular is always neat and organize. Service wise- I have not encountered a single rude employee (and hopefully not). Currently I am on hold with the pharmacy and I have been on hold for 16 minutes. This pharmacy is the WORST. Actually all CVS pharmacies are the worst. If it wasn't for me getting off work so super later I would change pharmacies in a heart beat, but CVS is open 24 hours. These people constantly never receive rx's sent by my doctor. They are incredibly slow. The drive through window is a JOKE, as I usually wait about 30 minutes. The excuse is ALWAYS that there is only 2 people working. And the lowest of points was one time the pharmacy TECH actually had the nerve to say - "All of these meds are for YOU?" SO RUDE!!! I was sick, helloooo. When they answer the phone to put you on hold they just do it without asking if it is okay. I work in the healthcare field as well, and I can't get away with half the stuff these people are. Aa attempt to make a $400 withdrawal on my Citibank debit card was made at this CVS store. I recently started using the Citibank ATM's that are now stationed at CVS stores in my area and now my Citibank account Has been breached for the first time. How ironic is that! Thanks to the Citibank fraud department, they were able to reject the transaction and cancel future transactions on my debit card until is is reissued. read more

Stopped by after work at midnight to pick up medication for my sick child. Waited a few minutes till they re-opened at exactly midnight. There were 2 people in front of me and 3 behind me. Don helped the first person then was really rude to the elder gentleman ahead of me and after he told him inpatiently that he would have to wait at least 1.5 hour for his refill, he called me up and was equally inpatient and rude. We refer alot of our clients to this location due to its hours but I believe things will be changing. No more referrals. Corporate needs to be notified of the extremely poor customer service at this location. Beware and unless you have a few hours to sit or wait for a prescription, go somewhere else. I transferred a prescription to the Whittier CVS from Target. CVS contacted me letting me know it was ready. I show up and they don't have a record of it. They had called me personally and I received two automated calls. When I stopped by there was a huge line and the pharmacist and technicians seemed like they were having he worst day ever. An hour later I was told they doesn't have my prescription and that it had never been transferred. They blamed it on Target stating that Target had to call them directly to transfer the prescription (which they did). I decided not to wait an additional 20 minutes and returned the following day to pick up my prescription. The first question I was asked is if I had insurance, don't they know that already know that? I then received my prescription with the wrong last name and street address. Wow! At this point I'm wondering what if they're giving the wrong medication? By far the worst experience ever while trying to fill a simple prescription. read more

What an absolute waste of my time! Called the night before asking if they accept walk-ins for the booster shot. Spoke to a pharmacist and was assured that walk-ins were welcome. Showed up when the store opened at 8am and was told by Laura, that they don't even have enough vaccines to accept walk-ins. Inept Pharmacy employee. Today at approximately 1120 I attempted to pick up Rx phoned in from Urgent care. No record of order. I showed print out of Rx's. Employee went in back to check, "no order". I was asked to call UC myself. Urgent care does not accept calls from clients, only pharmacy staff. Employee refused to call to have orders re sent. "The pharmacist is busy with other prescriptions." I informed him he could call, and he just shook his head "no". Hey, lazy incompetent, you don't need a pharmacist to call to have orders resubmitted, plus... How in the world can anyone be too busy to do their actual job? I called pharmacy line at urgent care and asked for orders to be submitted to CVS in Target in the same shopping mall. My insurance places Rx on hold due to orders being sent to 2 different pharmacies!!! In other words the first CVS did have my orders but Mr. Ineptitude couldn't locate them. I am suffering and cannot get my medications because of the stupid indifference of 1 individual. CVS at Target treated me with respect. Came to get some prescriptions for my husband and my husband needed to use the restroom and asked an employee if we can use their restroom and they said it's out of order!! Like are you serious? Seems like everyone is on the same page of saying restroom is out of order! Like come on that's a lie!! Asked a different employee and he responded to ask a manager. We ask manager to come out and let us use employee restroom bc obviously they need to have one and he said no we cannot because it's "our policy not to let public use it" like wth? I have never heard a policy like that. This manager named "Jesse" already had a shit face as walking towards me like he was already ready with the "no" answer!!! I asked where can I go he said I don't know that's your problem! Wow the worse service in this area even after coming here to give them business! This area is bad already and the shitty service these employees have makes the experience worse! Won't come here again!!! Forget this place! They have signs everywhere to make an appointment for a flu shot. Don't do it. A walk in in front of me got taken first even though I had the appointment. In a COVID environment being high risk I don't want to be stuck in public for an extra 45 minutes. That's why I made an appointment. The pharmacy tech said "I don't know why CVS tells you to make an appointment, we just take people in order." Then while they found me in their computer system when I arrived, 35 minutes later the couldn't find me. I registered online and I get my prescriptions here. I don't understand why people rate this store so low, it's your typical CVS. I've been here a couple of times and nothing about it is appalling enough to deserve such a horrible rating. The racks are generally well maintained and look as if someone took the time to put merchandise where it belongs, the exterior is clean and I haven't spotted anything that would make me not want to go inside of the store like (graffiti, vagrants, etc, etc). The employees there aren't going to hold your hand and coddle you while you look for your items, so if that's what you expect don't come here unless your going to buy some lubricant to try and remove your head from your ass. All in all the cvs deserves a 3 star because it is very average. I only gave it a 4 because it is 24 hours and that's very convenient for a night owl like myself. read more

My review is only for the amazing pharmacy part of the store, I didn't use the front end.. After a horrific journey of attempting to fill an Rx that I have had 0 trouble filling in the last 4 years, This was going to be my final attempt after tryinunsuccessfully at 7 Cvs pharmacy's and 2 disgusting Walgreens, taking me a total of about 3 and a half hours and most of my weeks gas, I was ready to give up, But thank God I stopped here, The night pharmacist Albert . He Was truly amazing! He was super friendly even though he was by himself working his butt off, somehow happily taking care of in store and a long line of drive thru customers. I am writing this to show my appreciation to this awesome pharmacist, he is the only one out of al the cvs pharmacy's within 25 miles, who has shown me respect. After 5 years of complete loyalty to Cvs Pharmacy's, After the way I've been treated from other Cvs stores tonight, If not for Albert , I was ready to find somewhere else to permanently give my business too, If I lived closer to this store, I would give my business too this store. This is based solely on customer service at the pharmacy. I called on a Sunday evening about 9:30 pm to ask if they carried syringes for my dog's insulin. The girl who answered said, "Ummm, yeah we carry them but you have to have a prescription." So I said, "Ok, but how much is a box of 100?" She said, "Well it depends on your insurance" (I swear I could hear her eyes rolling) I said, "Can you just give me a price? It's for my DOG, so obviously my dog doesn't have insurance." She said "Well it depends." I said, "On what??? Can I speak to someone who knows the price of syringes?" (Goodness, that's ALL I'm asking!!!!) She said (sounding annoyed), "I mean, I can get you a quote I guess..." (Wow, you "guess?") And I'm not buying insurance...why do I need a "quote?" What the heck?!?!! I hang up phone. If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible customer service. Pharmacy is open 24 hr with one hour lunch and only one pharmacist.... so it's 23 hrs. Meanwhile having an asthma attack. Pharmacist Mahmud tells me to wait an hour to refill my prescription for inhaler... I already waited an hour for his lunch. Only two other patients here at midnight but my inhaler will take an hour?!?? Got to be kidding me. This is a joke of a pharmacy. To top it off they don't know where another pharmacy is that I can go to? We waited and then he asked again if I needed help, he didn't recognize me from the last hour so he tells me to keep waiting for another 40 min because he has a lot of refills to fill for the next day..... They had an issue with dosage said they were going to call urgent care and page me back. 15 min later no page so I go up and ask about his prescription and they just say it was fixed they will call me up.
