It's still a CVS with all the basic goods + services, not to mention frequently great prices on beer + booze. But don't be surprised when you get followed around by security or workers. They think EVERYONE is a shoplifter so they will haunt u constantly until u pay up or leave. It's pretty funny, actually, the way they swoop by + artlessly lurk. But once u notice how many products are behind lock + key in here, stupid stuff like shampoo, name-brand tampons, nicer lotions, etc., then it's just annoying + sad. I hate thieves! Pathetic. As i'm not a thief, i didn't really care if they shadowed my every move. (Although if i was shopping for hemorrhoid cream or enemas, then i would no doubt feel my privacy was being invaded.) Nonetheless, i was still able to find the new hair styling products i was looking for. Then i scored a great deal on a brick of beer for the weekend. Like i say, if u know what u want here then no issue. But it's not a great store to spend time leisurely shopping around. Topping off this visit was when the security started hitting on me in the liquor dept. The pharmacist Nathan - asian with a black mask - first made me return to my pcp pharmacy and back to make them cancel my multivitamins I would get from them so I could get them at CVS even though I had a paper prescription - then when I did that he refused to accept my insurance and wanted me to pay over 14$ - he wasted my time- discriminated against me and my medical care - delayed medical care I needed which further damages my health when I have been suffering from malnutrition from exploitation, abuse and social/economic poverty and already have lost weight and my blood pressure has been permanently affected. read more

I am a physician calling to verify a pain medication for my patient who just had spinal surgery. Got Monica on the phone who is absolutely useless. She kept saying "pharmacist is out to lunch, what can I do?" I tried to explain that the patient called me since CVS told the patient they need to verify the Norco RX with the physician. I just want to confirm the prescription with the pharmacy department. Patient had surgery and needs the pain medication. Her reply is blaming me "why did you call late? Why didn't you call before pharmacist went to lunch?". I explained, I just got the call from the patient. When I was asking why she can't help, she hung up the phone. This pharmacy could not be any worse. Good people working in the pharmacy department, but clearly management has no idea how to schedule people or they just do not care about customers. There is ALWAYS a big line waiting to pick/up prescriptions. It does not matter if the CVS app says your prescription is ready for pick/up- you WILL be waiting a minimum of 20-40 minutes. The system they use to organize the medicines is ridiculous. It feels like 1980. I have already transferred as many of my medications as I can to an online discount pharmacy co-founded by the shark tank guy. But some meds are controlled, so I have to visit this hell hole - avoid if you can!! read more

They've messed Up my medication dosage and medication wrong I'm still waiting on a refill for a medication I requested over 2wks but they keep send request refill for medication they just filled (and also was wrong in dosage) . I could find everything I need. It's usually stocked well. They have great prices too. They are quick to open stuff from the locked cabinets too. They have a lot of liquor to choose from too. Giselle at the pharmacy was really rude, she had no customer service. Sunday afternoon wasn't even busy and her attitude was horrible.

Honestly, I just came here to use the chase ATM. I always come here to use the ATM. They close early so they just lost a star. I did go in once looking for something and I couldn't find no one to help me. I had to go in circles to find what I was looking for. I also saw some employees acting like if they were doing something and they were too busy to assist me. That is another star less. The only reason I give them three stars is for the Chase ATM and because there is always a parking spot available when I come. The guard that works here is also very nice and always greets me when I walk in. I notice they only have one cashier working every time. The people that make line look so frustrated. I get so relieved that all I have to do is take out money. read more

I had to come here for my inhalers because they didn't have enough at the other store on Wilshire and wouldn't just lemme get ONE. I need an inhaler because I NEED TO BREATHE. I understand this place is in the hood and they probably have issues with theft. But they have a security guard that's way out of line with a bad attitude. I've gotten followed at stores around all my life, but a fellow black man following me around and stalking me, that was a 1st. Very short with me and borderline yelling when I asked to have the glass door open. Also. If you get items from one of the locked cabinets, you need to hand them to the same guard on a power trip and he tells you they will be at the register waiting for you. This has got to be the worse CVS Pharmacy in Los Angeles. Not only is the store always a mess but the customer service is non-existent and the people behind the pharmacy counter are rude. The majority of the customers who visit this CVS are Spanish speaking and they NEVER have a person at the pharmacy who speaks Spanish; I mean we are in South Los Angeles, get someone who is at least bilingual. The store always seems to hace one cashier available which makes the line to pay way too long. Don't even think of running in to buy gum because it will take you 30min just to get out of the store. Please check your medicine these people sent my daughter and I home with unprepared medicine that the pharmacist forgot to mix!!! Had I not been smart enough not to trust them I would have given my baby medicine in its rawest form and shutter to think about what the outcome would have been. Their carelessness could hurt someone and potentially cause great harm or worse. As soon as I make a line at the drop off I'm acknowledged with a smile. When I'm picking up the meds the pharmacist says hello to everyone in line which is something you don't ever see. Worst CVS ever, they never have anything that's advertised in the add paper in stock, not even if you're there at opening time on Sundays so they can't use the "we sold out" excuse. The pharmacy never has any medicine that I have been prescribed in stock, not even because they are next to a health clinic and a dental office. I'm always told they have to order it and it will take 3 to 5 days, if they can get it. Why would I want pain medicine 3 days after the day I need it for pain for?! I printed different sizes and pulled pictures from different outlets, and overall, the photo service was an unpleasant experience. I spent 20 minutes printing one 8x10!
