CW Plumbing - Cleanout, problem missed by CWPlumbing - General Contractors Near Me - Pinellas Park, Florida

In Feb, I called the professionals because my toilet was making strange noises. It was filling, it was emptying, but taking almost three minutes to settle. My water bills were over $200 for months. Their technician came out, checked my toilet, then went outside to the cleanout and up on the roof. He found a tiny root and said, "where there's one, there's more". They charged me $425 and recommended I schedule for a camera inspection. I didn't have the money and another four months go by. Meanwhile, still having the problem. I called again in June for a camera inspection, estimated at $350. Same guy came out, never checked my toilet, went straight to the cleanout and then up on the roof. NO BLOCKAGES, NO STANDING WATER...just normal wear and tear of old iron pipes. I was not consulted on any additional fees. Things weren't making sense, nor adding up. Something was causing this problem, and it wasn't a blockage. The tech was packing it up and I urged him to please come in and check the toilet again. This time he took the back of the tank off and immediately said that I needed a new fill valve and flapper. He replaced those two parts and problem solved! Then I get the bill for $580...WTF. So they actually wanted $1000 for what should've been a ten minute diagnosis and fix. I don't think so. Do yourself a favor and call another plumber!!!!! CW Plumbing has been to the home I rent several times. I guess our landlord thought they were the cheapest...and the saying "You get what you pay for" is so true about them. The receptionist Sandy, is clueless, and had mistakenly booked an appointment time but never called me to let me know someone was coming, then told my landlord I was being difficult and I was hard to reach. The second to last time they came out to do work Johnny, the guy they sent repeatedly, just walked into the house, no knocking, nothing. Just walked right in. I had a 6 month old at the time and I was in the restroom, that didn't stop him. I called and was furious and Sandy apologized. Then when there was additional work to do she had the audacity to suggest they would send him again, but joked that he would knock this time, and laughed. They are so unprofessional. They have created messes and just left them, track dirt and grime into the house, and leave the mess for the homeowner to clean up. They don't even offer to clean up their messes, and have been absolutely RUDE. The last guy they sent out was actually kind and professional, and actually showed up when they said they would; but I specifically asked that they ALWAYS call before knocking, and of course Sandy said they would do so, and they NEVER have (as my daughter's room is right next to the front door) and he banged on the door and thankfully did not wake her, however I was pretty angry. I think there are areas to be "cheap" about in home repair, and plumbing isn't one. I highly recommend St. Pete Plumbing and George Hasseltine Plumbing. These people aren't worth the savings. I would rather have the job done right the first time, clean, with someone who respects my home, space and time. This company does none of that. read more

I called them out for an issue I have with my bathroom sink. I live in a tiny house and the plumber advised me that it was tight in there and I said yes I know. He was there for only two minutes and then stated I have a leaking faucet. I was then told I need to replace it. He then proceeded to call his office about my question : I need to order a facet because local places don't have what I need. He spent 15 minutes on the phone with them and came in and told me that I would be charged for the service call of $89.99 and when they came back out I would be charged that aging plus the faucet repair of anywhere from $160.00 to $250.00 wasn't told an exact figure. So when I got off work I checked the faucet out for two hours. Didn't see the leak or have any wetness. Then my son came over and played around with it and finally after an hour we got the leak to happen but it is when the handle is in a certain position. However, I called the plumbing service back before troubleshooting further and the lady that answered the phone stated that the plumber showed me the leak. I then stated no. She then got him on the phone and they talked and she called me back . Stated that he would be here at 8:00 am . I got up early and he didn't show till 8:35 am. Then he refused to take off his muddy shoes to come in. So I stated that I was fine. Please do not come in just charge me the $89.99 fee. So in short, I caught him in a lie, he is late, and this is another company that can't even give you a quote before working on your stuff without calling in and talking to someone. Plus they will not adhere to your house rules. Like taking off shoes... the plumber said no!!!! He walked through my dirt yard when I had a clear path to get back to my tiny home. CW remodeled 2 bathrooms and repaired water damage in my kitchen. The updates required experts in plumbing, drywall, tiling and electrical. They replaced my old tub with a beautiful, customized standing shower with seamless glass doors, installed toilets, sinks/cabinets and lighting to transform my bathrooms. When they were done with the kitchen it was fresh as new - not sign of previous water damage. They were glad to do little extras that came up along the way and reasonably priced. With my water heater on the verge of implosion, I called CW on a friend's recommendation. At 7pm on Thursday. Texted a couple pics of said disaster, and the CW guys were here and gone by the time I got home from work Friday!!
