We were on Vacation and of course the Alternator would decide to break down now. So we are out of towners' looking for a shop. We got our battery and alternator check at Autozone (Mike) was really nice and tested our battery and alternator. The battery check out fine and it was the faulty alternator. Chris also suggested the belt to replace as well. He sent us to Charlie's to help with the install. We arrived here and Kenny help us with the getting our car fixed away. Came in waited forever only to be told that they could not help test a battery that was for a battery charger. I bought some items and asked for military discount and showed identification. The lady working did not give me the discount she said the items you bought are on sale. I have bought items on sale without having the discount being a problem. Employees shouldn't care if I use this benefit or not. Wont be coming here again , took battery to another autozone and they were able to test battery without a problem. Where did the service mentality go I will never know...but I just got off the phone with a VERY VERY rude woman named Veronica who abruptly tells me I have to come back in to fix a mistake done by one of the employees at the shop. I mean literally as soon as I get on the phone ..I was sleep!! And as soon as I answer the phone I'm greeted with the wrong pronunciation of my name .. but off she goes to speak to me as if I was one of her children ?! This adds already to the negative energy that's in this store that I felt each time I walked in. I had to politely interrupt this woman a few times to ask her to lower her tone and remind her I'm not a combative person (for crying out loud I just woke up and I'm on my happy pills so i couldn't hear half of what she was saying lol) before she let up for some air and let me speak. It is incredible how a person can go to two different Auto zones less than two miles from the other and experience drastically different outcomes. The employees and managers of a store make all the difference! I purchased a universal catalytic converter and O2 sensor for my vehicle online. The converter did not have the hole required to plug in the sensor; it would not fit my car. I called the Rainbow location to find out my options and the manager said since it's been 90 days, he couldn't issue me a credit or refund. Mind you, both parts had never been used, were still in the box, and have a 5-year warranty and six-month warranty. I called this location, and after looking me up in the system, Maverick had no issue with giving me a refund. Maverick was extremely pleasant, understanding and left a great impression on me and their store location. I highly recommend the Charleston Auto zone location, and I will continue to do business with them In the future! read more

They tested &vit seemed ok but I wanted them to replace it because I didn't want to continue getting stuck. I called on my way over, they quoted me ac price ($159 w 2 year warranty) & said they had it in stock & could install immediately. I arrived & everything was the same. Large bottles of oil and filters are available here to purchase to DIY your oil changes, along with air filters, lights, and a bunch of other parts I don't feel safe replacing on my own. How is this place still in business? I ordered a simple part 8 months ago. I have been going once a month to ask if it's there and the answer is always not yet. It takes time because it's special order. Well today this new manager with a bunch a tattoos ignores his employees request for help just blew him off. His employees were not at all interested in helping me. So they tell me they can't find the order, even though I see it on the screen and I presented the receipt. I asked for a refund and the manager pretty much tells me to *uck off and got in this intimidating pose in my personal space. This is one of the worst displays of customer service, they treated me like a criminal, not only taking my money, leading me on, wasting my gas, and then threatened me when i ask for my money back. The employees of this place are wonderful, however the product (specifically their batteries), suck. Every couple of years I get stranded and it's always because the battery will just die, completely, with no warning. This has happened 4 times now. I finally just paid for a battery from AAA. I pulled up thinking I had a battery issue, after receiving a jump. I went in and spoke with a woman about getting my battery checked. She said it would be a few minutes as there were people in front of me. I do apologize, I did not get your name, but I remember you did help me on another occasion with an aux tape :) I went to my car and figured out that my high beams drained my battery and the issue was actually in my light switch behind the steering wheel. It's faulty and my high beams turn on with my turn signal. It's so weird I walked back in and the woman had stepped outside, but Jesus had stepped in after helping another gentleman replace a battery outside. He put the items away, and I let him know that the issue was not the battery but the light switch. He proceeded to help me and provided me with the information I needed to get it fixed. I appreciate your hard work sir! It gets hot outside, and I commend you both for running that store. Especially with all the different types of people that walk through that door. This review is a couple of weeks after the fact; but I wanted to make sure that Anthony (Store Manager) and his staff were thanked for my recent experience at that particular store. I needed "Tie Rods" for my old 2003 Ford Explorer. They had the inner "Tie Rods" in stock; but had to transfer outer "Tie Rods" from another store. Anthony assured me they would be there by 1pm that same day. Sure enough... Got there and parts were there. I thanked him for his efforts and tried to offer a "Tip"; which he refused (Pretty rare in Vegas). Both Anthony and his staff were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and capable. Really great place to purchase Car Crap as a woman. I was greeted right away and told the nice sales person what I was recommended by the oil change place, I needed a new battery. He said he will test it first to make sure I actually need one. He walked me trhu the test and yes it was bad (well 4 years old lol) He showed me the different prices and recommended the cheapest one they had in stock, it came with full warranty and free install and I got my 10% military discount :) This man was awesome!! There store is laid out nice however I had a hard time finding my part. I only needed a gas cap and it was not apparent to me that you had to ask them for help with type of part. Signs to help you understand what is over the counter vs behind the counter would be very helpful. This way customers are not running in circles around the store looking for item that a rep has to assist them with. read more
