This place has great customer service and carries all the essentials. Hands down the cheapest place to get your dirt bike or street bike tires mounted. If you need something before a ride you can most likely find it here! Would be 5 stars if it had more of a selection of helmets and tires, but a great place nun the less. read more

Its been a little while that i had to restock on parts and fuilds. Sad to say the Manager Amanda has moved on to bigger and better things... with that being said the service is about the same... but i think ill be going over the the culver city shop seeing that the old crew is over there... I see some mixed reviews here, so maybe it is hit and miss, but first time shopping here (bought a set of tires a long time ago from them, but i was in and out) and I had a good experience. Salesperson was super helpful as I picked some protective gear and a new helmut. Love the new AGV helmut I got btw. Good place for more affordable items but don't make those items you long term gear. Only bad things is the items on order cost more then if you went to the manufacture and online items state that they are in the store but come to find out they aren't. Knowledgeable staff though. read more

Update: Need tires and inner tubes for my boulevard cruiser. I was going to ask a local dealer to install the tires, but could not believe that they wanted me to order the tires on the dealer's website and then go in for the installation. Well, if I am going to do all that, then why don't I just order online? So, I called Cyclegear, Ryan told me the price on the installation and the process. Went in to the store and Patrick helped me order the tires and tubes and I saw Chris was installing tires and it looked like he knows what he was doing, so that erased any doubt I have about their ability to install the tires. The price for everything (on their website) do match another low price website, but I just need to pay CA tax. The tires came in a few days later and Ryan called me to let me know. Brought the wheels in and Tyler was the installer, but Chris was there to help him. They did not mind that I stood outside the working area to watch them work. In about 45 minutes (rear inner tube was difficult to put on due to the stem has a 90 degree bend), both were done, balanced, and the rims were not scratched. Went home waited two weeks and no air leaks. Took it for a 20 miles ride on freeway and local traffic, no issue found. Thanks guys! read more

My Bilt helmet was stolen off my bike a few days ago... Sad because I had bought two extra face sheilds for it because I dislike scratches that would distract me while I ride.. Was not sure what to do so I brought them with me to repeat my business at Cycle Gearand with Jake the manager. My stolen helmet was no longer available (discontinued), so I up grade to another Bilt helmet, the Apollo. Jake was nice enough to exchange my new but never used face shields for the ones that would fit the Apollo helmet! Could not pass up the great deal.I bought a New helmet! Yeah! The store manager, Amanda, and her crew operate an amazing place for motorcycle riders to come for great advice and helpful services. I have at least two occasions that I experienced above and beyond customer service. Devin help me to find the right size of helmet for my head shape. Devin's knowledge in motorcycling is an encyclopedia itself. The difference between before and after is so great that, now I can't wait to wear my helmet as much as I can't wait to ride my bike. The other occasion I actually brought the old battery to the store and left with the right size battery for my bike. To use the word happiness is an understatement. I was given a sedici monza pants as a bday gift from my wife. I had to return and get a replacement TWICE for warranty issue (stretch panel starts to unravel in the inside of the leg on both times). On the last trip there, I decided to upgrade tot a different brand and just pay for the difference. I don't have the receipt (hint: it was a gift) so they decided to find the receipt on their system to no avail. My wife paid $199.99 and it was listed for that price online as the original price. They tried to, instead give me the gift card with the SALE price ($169.99). I pleaded with them to make this right for me because, after all, it is THEIR product that failed TWICE! The girl (who seems to be the higher rank of the two) decided to be all patronizing and stern with me saying that I need to bring her my bank account statement as proof of purchase, etc etc. It got ridiculous where she attempted to lecture me on why they are losing money on this, blah blah blah. I knew she would be trouble from the first moment I walked in: didn't even smile when I smile at her saying "good morning." Finally the district manager came through and got me the full value of what my wife paid for that shitdici pants. She has the audacity to patronize me and said "this is the last time, ok!" Newsflash chicky, that would be the last time I shop at your store. Crap product, crap customer service, crap overall experience. No more cycle gear for me! read more

The lesser of two evils when talking about DelAmo MotorSports. I am a bargain hunter so i dont buy from these guys until i do my research. FYI folks they do have a military discount and do price match. I will call a person out if need be but since i dont mind these guys to much I will not throw any names under the bus. Some employess do not know how to look up things in the catalogs so you may have to help them. (this happened to me on two occasions) Check the online CycleGear prices as they do pricematch their own prices which may not be in the store computer. Sign up for emails and catalogs as they do mail out and email out pretty good coupons. Went in on a Sunday (only shop open) to have tube put in a wheel. Chris was busy but made time for me and let me watch him work. Went looking at helmets and I've never been in a shop where one employee knew so much about helmets. Chris was amazing, even knew what my old helmet was with a minor description. I special ordered a jacket because they were having a sale and after 2 months, I still did not hear back from them nor did they offer to do anythign about it. I went and spoke to the manager and he was just as rude. The Regional manager said "Well, we can try to work with you, how about another 5% off..." They said that it was MY responsibility to call them and remind them to check on things! In that case, they should pay me off their payroll for that. I told him to refund my money and that I was taking my business elsewhere. $500 and they couldn't not even give me a courtesy call to let me know that they didn't lose my order or take my money and run? I went to Bert's and got the same item for 20% off and I got to take it with me that same day. I'll probably never shop at Cycle Gear again, all the people who work there are idiots. The only time I'd shop there is if I had no choice, couldn't find a way home or tow back home and this was the only place that had exactly what I needed and did not have to order it. read more
