After struggling with my motorcycle for almost a year, I finally found Brandon over at South Bay Powersports. He took in my bike and painstakingly worked through the entire electrical system, the fuel system, and anything else that might have been problematic. I took my bike in back in November due to issues with my chain becoming extremely loose over and over. I'm not too sure of the guy's name that helped us but I'm pretty sure the name was either Brandon or Brenden. He was able to point out the problem immediately which was a good sign to me. He was extremely friendly as well and seemed to know his stuff. They had my bike for about 2 weeks which seemed pretty reasonable since they had ordered a new chain and rear sprocket kit that was on back order. About a week after getting my bike back though, one of the bolts holding my rear sprocket came loose while I was riding on the freeway. I was able to tighten it back to get home. When I got home, I came to find out that almost all the bolts were not torqued properly. Whoever worked on my bike did not look over their work to notice that they did not properly torque the bolts. I also recommended this place to my friend who had a frayed clutch cable. A week after getting his bike back, his clutch cable frayed again. He ended up taking his bike elsewhere to install another clutch cable and he has had no problems since, which makes me believe the clutch cable was originally not installed properly. Other than those problems, the guy who helped me originally was very friendly and I'm glad he was able to figure out the problem with my chain as I've had no problems since I torqued the bolts. read more

This place took six months to service our bike.. waiting on a part per Covid. The shop then doubles the price of the service & expects us to pay for our bike being at his shop when it was the shop that didn't have the bike ready for pickup.... Then puts a lean on the bike with $160 per day storage fee.. total $3840.00 .. did I mention shop was waiting on a part. Sad that even during COVID this shop found the means to take advantage of a customer. Hope the sale of our bike makes the shop Great profit on our behalf. read more

I fell in love with my bike again. After calling around for a new chain and sprocket for my bike, I decided to try out South Bay Powersports. Brendan picked up my bike (for free!) and kept me updated on the progress and time frame to expect. I very quickly felt comfortable with Brendan and the company, so I asked him to look over my bike for any issues that may have arisen in the 13k miles since I got it. His attention to detail blew me away. Little things I didn't expect him to take care of were fixed or replaced. ***DO NOT GO HERE*** to get your bike fixed. It took weeks to do the work. And it wasn't anything complicated. Carburetor cleaned, drained the old fuel and replaced new battery. It took more than 2 weeks. The guy there who is the owner of the shop desperately need your money to keep the door open and will promise you anything in order to take your business before you drop your bike off. Also the fluctuated business hours didn't help neither. I tried to pick up my bike when I was told it's all ready to go (after 2 weeks). I got there at 5:10pm. It was a Friday. and the door was closed (they suppose to close at 6pm). Called the owner and he said he's gone for the day already. When you took off early from work and Uber there you want to get your baby (bike) back. And keep in mind that they don't open on weekends. So if you have a full time job like me it is a headache to deal with South Bay Powersports. read more
