I first started seeing Dr. Cyndi after the birth of my second child over 5 years ago. Since then she has helped me with chronic headaches and jaw pain from grinding my teeth, lower back pain, running and volleyball injuries - she can do it all. I've referred her to at least 3 others who all sing her praises as well- to include my husband. One of the best things about her- her goal is to get you to a point, so you don't have to keep coming back to see her. She falls into the category of very talented at what she does - truly a rare find and I'm so very thankful that my massage therapist at the time had recommended her to me. I've been going to Dr. Cindy for over 10 years, and she has been worth following around Alexandria as she's shifted her practice. I'm thrilled she is located inside of The Healing Tree, since Chiropractic and Massage go hand in hand. Dr. Cindy not only has the science behind what she does, she holds years of experience and a heartfelt intuition that guides the way she can read a body. I've been under Dr. Durakis' care for 5 years now. I was hesitant at first but when my back went out on a golf trip to Oregon I went in to see her the day after my return. I was shocked at how instant the results were as i experienced tremendous relief from my pain on the very first visit. She gave me a set of exercises that I could do on my own that have been invaluable to me. I once took a long break from doing the exercises and sure enough, my back and sciatic nerve flared up on me. Through Cindy's treatments and following her at-home exercise program I've regained full movement in my back and best of all, I'm pain free. Dr. Durakis has been treating me for more than 10 years and has never failed to relieve any pain that I have experienced. One particular instance is of note when I experienced pain in my left hip that became so bad I had to call an ambulance in the middle of the night. After x-rays at the hospital and no determination of the cause, I came home in the morning on crutches and a pain medication prescription. A day later when I was able to hobble to Cindy's office, conveniently located across the street from my home. After 10 minutes of adjustments she determined my hip had rotated slightly, and I walked back to my house with only the slightest tingle of pain. Five days later I was skiing at Keystone! I first saw Dr. Durakis last fall for hip issues that were not resolved through orthopedists or pain management. Folowing her guidence I was pain free by Christmas. One day in March I injured my neck and coud not move it with out considerable pain. I went straight to Dr. Durakis. I just knew it would be days before I would be capable of moving my neck. The next morning it felt like a miracle. I could move my neck and had a day of normal activity. I still have some pain, but am getting better quickly and it has only been a couple of weeks.
