I have used Auburn Honda for service from time to time, they are fine. My issue is with the unsolicited sales calls trade in my Honda. I got my car serviced there recently, now I get rude sales calls and they do not respect my wishes to not be called for sales. The woman calling stated she would make a note that i do not want sales calls, but continued on her sales speech. I will go out of my way to NOT buy a car here or trade my car in after this disrespectful interaction. They are abusing my information from service, researching my potential equity and then cold calling to get me to trade in my car. This feels unethical and a waste of my time. read more

During the Honda 0.99 - 1.99 % sales event, this particular dealership made my decision to purchase a 2025 Honda Ridgeline Trailsport a no-brainer! It was both a pleasure and a breath of fresh air to work with the sales rep, Barry Evert. Barry is a professional and respectable man - very knowledgeable, intuitive, experienced and honest. The day before, Barry and I made an appointment over the phone. My family and I arrived the next morning, with him and Nicholas Rendon greeting us. There is no pressure, just facts and a lot of respect for your time. I can't say that about other volume dealerships I've been to. Other places have a lot of back and forth haggling, "I'll speak with my manager", the awkward lull in between, the pressure and such. Barry WAS the go-to guy and we were so lucky to work with him. Auburn Honda really scored with a sales rep like Barry. Nicholas Rendon was an awesome and knowledgeable person to work with. Michelle with Auburn Honda is absolutely amazing!! I've been looking for a Suburban for a while and one popped up on their website - so new it didn't have any photos yet. I messaged them and within 30 minutes, Michelle sent me a video showing the vehicle inside and out and all of the fabulous features it offered. I went for a test drive and was instantly in love with the Suburban. Since I was trading in my old vehicle, Michelle said I could take the Suburban for a while - an awesome way to really help me fall in love and convince my husband I needed it - lol! Response: I did reach out to the GM and his reply was that there is very little mark up on msrp so the sales team tries to sell accessories or mark up the vehicle of a minimum of $2000. I was told this was going to happen regardless through silly accessories or through the extended warranty. Crazy, BTW I just bought the same car for $5000 less (minus the maintenance which was 1600 through your dealership this is because Honda provides you with a 2-year maintenance program when you purchase a vehicle, something I was never told) at another dealer, and I'm pretty sure they still made profit. On 4/12/2026 approximately 11am, we went in looking a 2026 honda CRV touring sport. They have 1 in stock. Everything went well with test driving and liked the car. Everything went down hill when we sat down to talk price of the vehicle. The sales rep starts writing down numbers and the total out the door price was over $53,000, they included the 5 year service fee which was over $1300 plus $995 protection package and $995 for car doc subscription. I figured that since buying a car we would like to negotiate the price and it wouldn't hurt to ask. We ask for us not to waste their time, we would like to see the invoice price and pay invoice, and also for them to remove or discount the protection package and hondalink subscription. The sales rep said he will try to ask. A few minutes later the sales manager came in hot!! He introduced himself nothing in hand and said, "what makes you think I will sell this car at invoice for you guys? If I'm going to sell this car, I would rather sell it to a local and have them use our service". (We drove 1.5hrs to get here) He then went on to lecture us about how rare and "hard to come by" this specific car is. He said, "there's only 3 in the state, you'll have to drive 300 miles in the rain or go out of state to find one. You will have to make a ton of phone calls to get one." We tried asking him to work with us even asking if we can pay a little above invoice. He continue to say that he will not make any money and the owner of the car dealer will laugh at him for selling the car to us at that price. At that point he was not going to either work or sell us the car. We got up and left, while we were walking out the door, I heard him muttered something behind our backs but we ignored him. We ended up going to Roseville honda automall which was 15min away and was able to get the same exact car "hard to come by" car for way less than what auburn honda quoted us. We asked for invoice which Roseville honda showed us but was willing to work with us. I would avoid Auburn Honda, the sales manager was rude and didn't care to work with us. Look elsewhere, they will screw people over with their ridiculous markup and hidden fees. read more

I've been to this location a few times. Usually good service which is why I come back. However, every time I come to the service area they sit on their a** while they clearly see me waiting to be assisted. The second time I came this happened, and I brushed it off. I come today 11/8 at 1225 and the guy is literally looking at me through the glass. I sat a little longer thinking maybe he's finishing up a task so I just take a quick second to tidy up my car. I'll keep posting the truth , every single time you pay to get it removed.... I strongly recommend avoiding Auburn Honda. I recently went in with my son to help him purchase his first car, and the experience was extremely disappointing. We had agreed on the price of a new vehicle, the trade-in value, and financing terms of 6.99% for 48 months. Everything seemed fine--until we sat down with the finance manager, Thuan Nguyen. She was cold and unwelcoming from the start. When we declined the extended warranty, things quickly went downhill. We were shocked to see that the financing had been changed to 8.99% for 72 months--completely different from what was agreed upon. When I brought this up, Thuan left and came back with Trae DeBeaubien, who was incredibly unprofessional. He told us we were "wasting his time," claimed my son didn't qualify for 48 months (which was never mentioned earlier), and refused to discuss further. No explanation, no courtesy--just blatant disrespect. At that point, we walked away from the deal and took back the keys to our trade-in. It was obvious they were hoping we wouldn't notice the changes until it was too late. This was a textbook example of a bait-and-switch tactic, and it's unacceptable--especially when dealing with first-time buyers. Do yourself a favor and avoid these people and save yourself time and money. Purchased a "car docks" maintenance plan from a partner dealership in Folsom with the sales pitch that I could use it there, despite it being actually sold by Auburn Honda. When I go to schedule my first maintenance service 5000 miles later I am told that the 2 dealers had a falling out and no longer partner in this way. That's fine, things happen. Just refund me for the completely unused package since I would now have to drive nearly 4 hours round trip.. right? WRONG! After 3 weeks (and another 2000 miles on my vehicle) of trying to talk to a real person and leaving 4+ unanswered voicemails I finally get the "pleasure" of speaking to a notably spineless Emily Smith who seems to need approval for anything, despite being reference as the one who handles that program. After needing to get back to me I am told that I could only receive a partial refund for a completely unused service since I exceeded the mileage while trying to get ahold of a real person there... wow Then she completely ghosts when I have questions as to the legitimacy of their bait n switch sales tactics, lack of communication, and justification for taking my money for services never rendered. We went in to take a look around and test drive some cars for my dad. Alexandra helped us out, and she was incredible. When it came to negotiations, she brought in her manager, Trae, and that's what soured everything. Trae is the most arrogant, condescending person we've encountered when shopping for cars, which we have done plenty of times in the past. Considering how many negative reviews have named him specifically, it's a surprise that they're keeping someone like him around - maybe he's good at driving people away, because that's what happened to us. We would've walked away with the car if it wasn't for him. When we asked simple questions - about MSRP, the extended warranty they were trying to sell us, interest rates, he wasn't interested in negotiating. In fact, he rolled his eyes and said "yeah right" when we said we saw different quotes at Elk Grove. I would've given this place 5 stars, simply because Alexandra was superb - that's even if we didn't get a car. I'm writing this review because Trae was rude, disrespectful, and treated us like we were dirt, and not like potential paying customers. Shameful. We will not be shopping at Auburn Honda again in the future, instead we will be going to any other Honda dealership (we have bought cars and shopped at Capitol City, Folsom Lake - which was the best-, and Elk Grove) which have at least treated us with respect and kindness even if we disagreed with them. read more
