I learned since my last review of DA Burns that the discount of 20% for in-person dropping off and picking up the carpet had already been applied to my invoice. I do not object to the business charging a 3% additional fee if one pays by credit card. I just wanted to know about this policy upfront so I could be prepared to pay by check. DA Burns has done exemplary rug cleaning and repair work for us for more than 20 years. Service is always good. They will call and discuss if a certain rug does not clean up in a CT orally satisfactory way. They always offer to take the cleaned rugs back out to our car. I suppose they would be happy to help with bringing the soiled rugs in too, although we never thought to request this service, being robust and spry septuagenarians! read more

We brought some dirty chair cushions and a porch swing cushion in to be cleaned after a summer outdoors. Communication was excellent , the cushions look brand new and it took us less than 5 minutes to pick them up. One of the employees carried them out to my car. If I could give negative stars I would. Totally terrible customer service and the owner or James is unprofessional and a dishonest. Worst experience I have had in a long time. This company is super-honest and does great work. We had our expensive oriental rug cleaned a few weeks ago for the fifth or sixth time and the cleaning was the usual excellent job with great communication. The price was fair. The day after the rug was delivered back to our house and set up in our dining room, I got a call from DA Burns. They explained that, try as they might, they could not get a certain spot out of the rug. We already knew that particular spot wasn't coming out but appreciated the check-in to see what we were thinking. Then today DA Burns came to our house to clean a high-end sofa. When the cleaner arrived, he inspected the sofa and said that it was in great shape, without spots, and despite the fact that it was 10 years old and had not been professionally cleaned before, really did not need a cleaning. So that saved us $250. Very fair and honest company that employs good people. read more

I had given the stuffed chair up for a loss. The end of the arms had been coated with so much gunk as though people had wiped their dirty, sticky hands on it. it was dark brown to black though the original fabric was gold! BUT, the guy who cleaned it did an amazing job! (I forgot his name.) I would definitely recommend them. He was able to clean the chair at our condo which was nice. read more

I am a 4th generation DA Burns customer. Today technician Bob cleaned our chairs and they look beautiful! He called 30 minutes before he arrived. Showed up on time. Was very professional and made the upholstery on our chairs look like new! Last year DA Burns cleaned a rug at a relative's house that had several prominent stains. My wall-to-wall carpet was installed seven years ago and somehow I never got around to having it cleaned until it began to look old and shabby. Bob from DA Burns was noncommittal when I asked if it was restorable, but when he left the carpet looked amazing.
