When I came to get the issue resolved the branch manager used profanity and told me he "can't do shit about it" then ignored me and proceeded to help a customer. Long story short, she forced me to get insurance that I did not need. Stated that I would not be able to take the rental off the lot without it. Long story very short, all that talk was total bs and every other agent that worked there and other enterprises said what she did was wrong. I'm not sure if she personally pockets money if she can sell bs insurance but why force someone to get something they don't need. Anyways, when I found out that I could get my money refunded, she made it a person mission to ensure that didn't happen. It got to the point when I had to talk to the area manager. After about 2 weeks I finally got my money back. If I didn't have drive and was ridiculously persistent I would have never seen my money. If you have to work with Danielle, God forbid, have your recorder ready so you can document how she talks to people. Better yet, just go to the New Carrollton location instead. They respect their customers.

Enterprise's "no haggle" pricing is real -- the price listed on their website for the car we wanted was exactly the price we paid - and it was a really good price. Plus, you don't realize that the amount of time it takes to buy a car from a dealer is because of all the negotiation tactics, etc. This was SO speedy - about an hour from deciding to buy to walking out with the keys. A few things: 1) We were looking for a particular color (in a particular make, model, etc) that was harder to fine, so we ended up paying Enterprise $300ish to ship the car we wanted from PA to MD. That worked great - it took about a week (as I was told to expect), and then we had first dibs on buying the car if we liked it upon arrival. 2) After purchase we took the car to our trusted mechanic and did a full "pre-purchase" inspection. It was in great shape. It was a huge relief to me to know that we had 7 days to return the car (for $200) if it had turned out to have issues. 3) Ty on the Enterprise team helped us and she was straightforward, friendly, and responsive. Definitely recommend working with her - but we interacted with others on the team and everyone seemed great. I think having a commission structure where sales reps get paid a flat fee per vehicle (rather than making more if the price goes up) supports sales reps in being efficient and straightforward. I know some people have a bias against buying former rental cars, but in my experience having now owned a couple, they are maintained well (with a clear and documented maintenance history), in very good shape, and often end up being a great deal. 100% recommend buying a car through Enterprise Car Sales and specifically the Lanham location and team. We notified the owner wishing 3 business days of renting and they were supposed to send pictures of another vehicle to switch out for our road trip they never sent the pho so we returned the car a full day early and had to rent elsewhere. we were charged an additional 193$ on the day after we returned the car and got a call asking when we were returning the already returned vehicle! a week later we inquired about the 300$ deposit we made and when we checked the contract they switched the deposit amount from $300 -$200 but did not reduce the total amount due. they charged me extra to use my card but did not have another payment option available they also waited until I asked for my refunded deposit she tells me that I have to wait 30 days. after I gave notice of my intent to sue the owner tried to guilt trip me by saying it was interesting that black people would threaten a struggling small business. showing no interest in the business trying to defraud the hard working customer. bottom line do not do business here they are crooooks that will rip you off

I came back to provide an update. During my first visit, I had a 3 Star experience. Unfortunately,…read moreafter 2 additional visits (I travel a lot), the service and quality had severely declined. I'm unsure if it's because I just so happened to catch them on a good day but I will need to rent elsewhere. For starters, the quality of cars are not good. I've received the car with a tire pressure monitoring system alert (TPMS) that would not clear and I've also had a vehicle with steering issues. I reported both to the workers but fortunately, due to no other car available, I had to take them. Just imagine going out of town with a TMS alert and praying that you don't catch a flat. We even looked in the settings to see if we could clear it, and there was no setting. The worker attempted to look and couldn't find it either. As for the steering issues, it was very hard to make left and right turns. Luckily, that trip was not too far so it was manageable. However, moving forward, I will have to visit another location. I did try three times but now I'm out.

The Lady at the Counter in Davenport Florida was VERY RUDE and told my wife to find another company. My wife then called Budget Car Rental Corporate office only to be told that her reservation was being escalated to an Inventory Control Manager and that they would call back within 15 min or up to Two Hours. She has NEVER received a call back, it is NOW 5:30pm and most of the locations are now closed. She has called back to the Corporate office for Budget Car Rental for them to try to give the same line that she should expect a call within two hours. There are NO mangers ever available to speak with on the phone. Customer Service was no help at all - all they can offer is a call back. Plus they are now going to charge us if we Cancel the reservation for a Truck that Budget Car Rental has YET to provide us. ( we are still waiting on a call back )
