Contacted at least 5 other companies that would not tell me how much per lb they charge for refrigerant the tech will let you know after the diagnostic, no thank you. I message prime time here on yelp and the pricing was up front and reasonable. Tech arrived within the arrival time frame was knowledgeable and completed the task within 20 minutes. I call them first the next time i need service.

Frank came to my home to assess the issue, and I was charged $309 due to weekend service surcharges. I have a newborn baby at home, so being without heat was not an option. Before Frank left, the furnace appeared to be working, but the same issue returned later that day. I contacted the company again on Sunday and was instructed to reset the furnace and told a technician would return Monday. The reset did not fix the problem, and I never received any follow-up calls or service afterward. As a result, I had to hire a separate company to resolve the issue. I later requested a refund but was only issued a partial credit for a humidifier pad. My furnace was never properly repaired, and the lack of follow-up or accountability after I had already reached out multiple times is completely unacceptable. I expect a full refund for the incomplete service and poor communication.

I was by far the most impressed with Kristian. He had previously been an installer/technician but has recently become a sales person. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable; we actually enjoyed chatting too much! He explained to me that their company actually makes and installs new ductwork with their furnaces so that they don't have to retrofit what's already there. He was also the only one who noticed that my water heater was old and would need replacing soon. His quote was a bit higher than the other that I'd narrowed it down to, but I liked the Daikin furnace that he quoted because it has a very good reputation, the best warranty in the business and is environmentally friendlier than others. Additionally, rather than just doing a quote with line items, he attached pictures of each piece of equipment that would be installed, which I thought was a nice touch. I really wanted to go with him, but I had to think it over. In the meantime, I started to schedule a couple more appointments with other companies that offered 0% financing. I was going to wait to make my decision until I'd gotten the last quote or 2. But Kristian texted me on a SUNDAY NIGHT! to ask what he could do to help with my decision. I told him that if he could do 0% financing, I would go with him. He managed to arrange that for 12 months and I signed the contract that evening. Of course, this happened during an incredible heat spell, with temperatures in the upper 90s with matching humidity, so they couldn't get out as quickly as I'd hoped. When they were scheduled, Steve came out as the lead technician, with Brandon and Alex helping the first day and mostly just Brandon the second day. They got here at about 8:15 a.m. and didn't leave until about 7:30 p.m. BOTH nights! They worked super hard, hardly taking breaks at all, and they were short at that. Steve promised that they'd have the air conditioner working before they left the first night, and indeed, they did. It was the first time in over a week that I walked into a cool house. When Steve removed the furnace, he came upstairs and said that the water heater was about to blow, so I went downstairs to look at it. It was, indeed, bowing out. Kristian had already quoted a price but I was originally going to wait. But when I saw it myself (leaking, rusting and with a definite bubble), I texted him and told him I wanted that replaced as well. He was able to add it to the financing without a problem. So, in the end, I had a new furnace, humidifier, air conditioner, some ducts and a water heater installed. I have nothing but good things to say about this crew. They were all very kind, personable young men who knew what they were doing. I feel confident that I chose the right company to do this work.

They were hired for all air vents and a dryer cleanout on a 2,000 sq. ft. house, and particularly a bad smell coming in the laundry room. On the day of the cleaning Chris and Lee arrived during the agreed upon time window. I showed Lee around the house to the various vents and asked questions about the places I couldn't fully clear a path to the vent. The house's vents hadn't been cleaned during the time I've owned the place so it needed significant work. The same applied for the dryer. The cleaning took roughly 3 hours. I think they did a good job and made sure to take care of cleaning any messes their work caused. The one exception was the dryer blow-out which was left under the outdoor vent. My single gripe was that the final price ended up $100 over the original quote without discussion. However, it was clear that they had a lot of work to do that couldn't have been known without taking a look at things.

We cannot say enough good things about Peter Beers and D & G Heating & Cooling. Our furnace stopped during the night, and we found ourselves in the cold on the morning of one of the coldest days in February 2014. We called Consumers Energy, our gas service provider, with whom we have a paid furnace protection plan. The company they sent was prompt in arriving (to our relief); however, they did only a cursory "inspection" of our furnace (about five to seven minutes), after which they announced that we needed a new furnace and quoted us a price. They informed us that their company could have the furnace to us on the following day -- and "promptly" left us in the cold while we thought about it! No immediate relief nor concern. I was cold and scared (which is what happens when the heat goes off in Michigan in early February of one of the coldest winters on record): My main question was "can't you get it here today"? My husband , however, was wise enough to be uncomfortable with the perfunctory "diagnostic" immediately followed by a sales pitch delivered under the pressure of extreme cold -- as well as the lack of regard for our immediate safety and well being. Therefore, he called another company knowing that it would be completely at our own expense. The company he called was D & G Heating & Cooling. Mr. Beers of D & G arrived within a short time and proceeded to get a proper diagnostic underway. He and his technicians had our heat back on within an hour or so via a temporary patch. The problem with the furnace was explained to us in detail in understandable terms. He advised us that he could do a relatively cheap fix on the nineteen-year-old furnace which would last, perhaps, the remainder of this winter and, maybe, part of the next -- "or" he could sell us a new furnace. His approach was so fair, honest, and without pressure that we did not hesitate to get the quote on a new one (it helped that this discussion of sale was in a warm house which he and his technician had provided). D & G Heating & Cooling''s quote was a full $1,000.00 below the quote given to us by the other company -- for the exact Bryant make and model! Mr. Beers also discussed the rebates and tax breaks available to us as well as getting us some consideration on the one year of warranty left on the old furnace (not a Bryant). He gave us every break he could to save us money. Mr. Beers provided all rebate paperwork and full explanations of each and every step of the paper work and the installation process. He obtained the city permit necessary. He was clear and concise about warranties, etc... There was a post installation inspection both by a senior D & G technician and the city. The Bryant warranty and D&G's services (including 24 hour emergency service), together, are so complete that we have dropped the "furnace protection" we were paying for through Consumers Energy (seems, now, more like a "protection racket"). You are at the mercy of the heating companies when you call in an emergency and you have no expertise nor an idea about what repairs and equipment should cost and little time to research. We had been taken for an expensive ride by a heating technician about ten years prior to this furnace breakdown (seems sub-freezing temperatures tend to make me a little stupid); that's the main reason we got the gas company's program (you think you can trust the gas company's contractors). Now, should there be a problem, we call D&G directly rather than the gas company which, apparently, do not choose their independent contractors as wisely as they should. Perhaps, the gas company is not so displeased with premature and overpriced furnace quotes by their contractors as they get a percentage of the action (a set percentage on every furnace sold by the contractors on Consumer Energy service calls). read more

My husband reached out to D&G after I noticed an unusual smell exiting the exhaust pipe outside our home. They had a service technician out the very next morning and much too our surprise and delight they had the parts in STOCK. We were very much impressed by the courtesy and professionalism that your service technician displayed. After thoroughly inspecting the furnace, he advised us and they brought out the parts to do the repair on the same day. We couldn't have been happier for the root cause and repair to be done at once. They also let us know that the heat exchangers were under warranty when they could have just sold us a new one. We cannot say enough about the integrity and workmanship of this company. We recently had a problem with our air conditioner. D&G installed the unit 5 years ago. We called for service. We were given a prompt date and a very pleasant dispatch lady called before the technician was about to arrive. Because of other construction being done on the building, D&G made three separate calls. Great dispatch lady called each time with arrival time. The third time was the charm and Curt replaced the fan motor and we are back in business with no problem. There was no part of this problem that was not handled quickly and with the most professional care that I have seen in a long time. Don did a fabulous job for a great price but I later found out that my brother didn't measure it correctly (arghh!!). Steve promised that they'd have the air conditioner working before they left the first night, and indeed, they did. It was the first time in over a week that I walked into a cool house. When Steve removed the furnace, he came upstairs and said that the water heater was about to blow, so I went downstairs to look at it. It was, indeed, bowing out. Kristian had already quoted a price but I was originally going to wait. But when I saw it myself (leaking, rusting and with a definite bubble), I texted him and told him I wanted that replaced as well. He was able to add it to the financing without a problem. So, in the end, I had a new furnace, humidifier, air conditioner, some ducts and a water heater installed. I have nothing but good things to say about this crew. They were all very kind, personable young men who knew what they were doing. I feel confident that I chose the right company to do this work.

I called the famed T&G and they tried to rob me blind after they came out with some outrageous pricing for refrigerant. Contacted at least 5 other companies that would not tell me how much per lb they charge for refrigerant the tech will let you know after the diagnostic, no thank you. I message prime time here on yelp and the pricing was up front and reasonable. Tech arrived within the arrival time frame was knowledgeable and completed the task within 20 minutes. I call them first the next time i need service.

To get this warranty the REME Halo-LED has to be installed by a licensed contractor.
