This is an update of a review I posted more than 1 year ago - Initial review stated : Today, while this company was performing service for a condo owner in our complex, we witnessed the two gentlemen working on an owners condo take their vehicle, back it up to our dumpster and unload a massive commercial air-conditioner into our dumpster. When I asked them if they threw an appliance in our dumpster they stated it was a dishwasher from the condo they were working on. When I confronted (who I believe to be) the owner, and suggested that what they did "wasn't cool" and it was "abuse" they stated that they didn't see it as abuse. A HomeWiz employee (and possibly the owner) were caught red handed illegally dumping a large (commercial?) air-conditioner in our condo complex's dumpster. Home Wiz is not a company I would recommend for any service. In my opinion a company that operates this way shouldn't be trusted to work on anyone's property. (It was only after being confronted and told to remove the AC, did they remove it) Please consider the above before you hire this company. Update 4/12/25 - Yesterday I received a call from someone who represented himself as an owner of Home Wiz. The call originated from 617-592-4400. The person said his name was either Dan or Don. He told me if I didn't remove my review that was negatively impacting his business, that he would "ruin me", my businesses, and come after my wife with bad reviews of her as a teacher. He also said that he would "get back at me in a way like I've never experienced." - He also stated that he knew where I lived. The number that I received the call from 6l759244OO was cross referenced to Home Wiz in Belmont MA, and, after reviewing yelp reviews on Home Wiz and HO services, it looks like this type of behavior may be a standard operating practice for this company. Several former customers of Home Wiz have written / complained that they were harassed by the company after posting less than favorable or negative reviews. I stand by my review and my opinions. I also plan to file a complaint for receiving unsolicited calls from Home Wiz and their representatives. He assured me in the letter that he really was an attorney. Do real attorneys have to do that? He also asked me to call him. Funny, last time I called his number, someone who sounded exactly like Howard Oven picked up. Sadly, I know Howard's voice very well because of all the harassing phone calls he made to me. If you read "not recommended" reviews here or on his "H.O. Services" profile, you will see that this is his normal m.o. What Howard does not seem to have grasped is that if you do not want bad reviews, you should not treat your customers badly. He also seems unaware of the fact that there is nothing wrong in writing bad things about a company if those things are true.
