What is most disappointing is that this is not an isolated issue. There are multiple reviews from other customers describing similar experiences with her. During one of our interactions, she told me she had been the manager for four years, and despite the ongoing complaints reflected in those reviews, the level of customer service I experienced never improved. For a business that relies so heavily on customer relationships, the way customers are treated at the front desk is just as important as the quality of the services being provided. It's unfortunate that such a positive experience with the estheticians is overshadowed by poor management. The final straw came when my services were canceled because of a private conversation I had with a former employee. That conversation was never made public, yet it was shared with management and used as the basis for ending my services. I found it deeply unprofessional to act on secondhand information from a private conversation rather than address any concerns with me directly. Rather than reaching out to discuss my concerns or taking any accountability for my repeated negative experiences, I simply received a message informing me that my private conversation had been shared and that I was no longer welcome at that location. There was no phone call, no conversation, and no effort to understand or address the issues I had experienced. If you're considering this location, I encourage you to read the reviews for yourself. My experience was consistent with many of the concerns other customers have shared. A generic, automated response to negative reviews indicating "you're looking into it" does not resolve the underlying issues or improve the customer experience. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dolly and the estheticians who provide excellent service, but my repeated experiences with management have left me unable to recommend this location.

I had a confirmed reservation under a 24-hour window, received a text at 1:35pm the day before stating my appointment was confirmed (no reply requested), then a separate store-sent text at 5:10pm asking for a YES/NO reply within a few hours. I missed that second text and my appointment was cancelled the next morning with a 50% cancellation fee charged -- despite already having a confirmed reservation. When I went in to discuss this with the manager, Talesha, her explanation was that the first text is an automated corporate message and the second is a separate store confirmation, and that since I've received these texts for years and it's all logged in their system, missing one was my fault. But by her own policy, this second confirmation request came less than 24 hours before my appointment -- so was I supposed to sit by my phone waiting to reply the moment it came in, knowing I'd already be inside the no-cancellation window regardless? That's not a reasonable expectation, and it doesn't match what actually happened on 2/27, when I only received the automated message with no store confirmation text at all, and wasn't charged. She also told me that even if I opt out of texts, they would force me back into opt-in so they could enforce this policy on me. I have texted STOP in the past and it confirmed I was opted out -- so either that was false, or they're overriding customers' opt-out status without telling them. Either way, that's a serious problem. When I asked for this to be looked into and showed her the message timeline on my phone, she called me rude and tried to end the conversation. Meanwhile, two staff members and herself at the front desk were loudly talking and laughing while I was trying to receive my service. Completely unprofessional. I've seen some bad reviews here, not sure why she's still there when so many customers experience her bad services and attitude.

I have been to few of their other locations in the city as well but given that Queens is easier of a commute for me, I have to say this is one of the best places for threading and waxing I have tried in Queens. I just let them know how I want my eyebrows done and they do it perfectly each time. For 5 dollars, its an excellent excellent place. Highly recommended. read more

Her prices are fair for the level of service you'll receive: she first studies your facial structure and brow shape then waxes, plucks and trims her way to perfection. This is followed by tips on how to maintain and extend the work she's just done - she won't just tell you to come back and see her in X weeks, since everyone's brows grow at different paces. I also value Eliza's flexibility with scheduling and how she's never pushy about future appointments - sometimes my brows seem to have grown out overnight and she will accommodate my "need to see you ASAP! I'm a MONSTER!!" pleas. Other times, she'll send me a casual text reminder and we'll work on a time that's convenient for both of us. The owner put a glaze in my hair, which made my hair very dark. When I mentioned my hair was too dark he said it looked beautiful when in fact, it was horrible. In addition, the processes caused extreme damage to my hair. The owner was very rude about the whole situation and told me there's nothing more he can do to fix my hair. And then he didn't respond for more than a week. My nephew's wedding was the following week and I was pressed to find someone to fix my hair. I used a salon in Long Island, where they condition my hair and fixed the color. I use the salon regularly as they do an excellent job and the prices are very reasonable. They do more with less rather than doing extra processes at extra cost. The salon charges $70 for single process, $60 for 1/2 head highlights and $70 for brazilian blowout (lower price, because of extremely fine hair). I would be happy to provide details for the salon if you are interested.
