I had my eyebrows and upper lip threaded for the first time. I am sort of satisfied? I loved the shape of my eyebrows, but I was left with a small cut on underneath my left eyebrow. I don't really mind the cut, but I had a problem with the attitude of the worker. She was very snappy and impolite. Now that I think about it, I kind of regret giving her a $5 tip (eyebrow and upper lip $5 each). TL;DR - only reason why I'm taking away 1 star is because of the rude service. read more

I did a lot of research before I decided to go to this salon. For my first time, the treading session was amazing! The woman who did mine was fast and efficient. She did a great job that I was shocked it was done in 5 minutes. Now, my brows are perfectly arch. In the end, my eye area wasn't red and blotchy like when I get my brow wax. After my last disaster at another threading place I was very reluctant to try a new place but I seriously needed to. I grew them out and headed to this spot. There was this nice girl that I was talking to who was a customer too and she told me this spot was legit. So I felt so much better. I don't remember the name of the girl that did my eyebrows but she was the tallest girl there. I waited for about 5 minutes and I was SO PLEASED with my brows. The woman I usually go to quit at another location so I decided to try this place out. I was hoping to find a new go to spot. Unfortunately, this is not it. There were three women working when I went on a Friday afternoon. The only one available took me, unsure of her name. She started immediately trimming without asking how I want my brows. The whole thing was maybe 2 mins, she worked quick which I guess is good but she didn't even look to see if she missed anything. The second she stopped threading, she asked if I wanted lotion. I'm used to being offered a mirror to see if there is anything more that needs to be threaded off. I tried looking in the mirror when I got up but I was mainly spending time picking off the hair that was stuck bc of the lotion while she stood waiting for me at the register. My eyebrow technician worked quickly and did a decent job but my falsies ended up hanging off my lids by the end of the session. Not a big deal. I used to come here often until one day, I rushed down from work ecstatic that I had made it in time only to have them turn me away ten minutes before closing and two employees were not even doing anything. Very disappointed - there was this healthy short haired woman (avoid her!!) who basically sped through my eyebrows like with a razor and despite my obvious discomfort, kept reassuring me 'she will not spoil them'. Great place for a quick, cheap, sneak in a session while the boy is at the gym eyebrow threading. Stylists are very friendly. I had to take off a star because they didn't have the cooling wipes that other salons have offered. I would stop by if you need a cheap clean up of stray hairs on the edges. I've been here once and this place is a hit or miss - hence the extra star. I had my upper lip and eyebrows threaded today and the woman I had was so rough, she left me bleeding! She said it was just red bumps but if the red liquid goes away upon wipe, I'd say that's 100% blood. Without an apology or recognition for the bleeding (and scarring tomorrow), I won't be back. I normally don't write reviews but I wanted to share my experience especially since you'll find a lot of reviews from first timers complaining about the pain of Brazilian waxes. My friend recommended this place as she's been to a few different places for Brazilians and she thought this place was the best. I was skeptical at first because I've only gotten bikini waxes before and never a full blown Brazilian. But I decided to just go for it and I'm glad I did. Everything looks so clean and feels so smooth. Honestly, it hurts a bit. (That also depends on how much hair you have) Some moments are a breeze and you don't feel much and other times it really hurts because the super sensitive nerves down there. The woman I got was very nice. She asked if I was a first timer and when I said yes, she warned me right away that it would hurt a little but not to worry. That made me more nervous but it really wasn't that terrible. Now I'm not saying it's painless cause come on... you're ripping your hair out BUT it was bearable. Sometimes my body would wince with pain but my waxer was very nice. She gave me time to breathe and talked me through it. Honestly, it wasn't as bad as I expected. I have been going to D&S for waxing (bikini wax) since one of my old favorite girls went back to her motherland to get married. I was of course extremely nervous but after it was over i was extremely happy. I have tried pretty much all of the girls in this place...but my favorite one is Dolly. I can be told she will be busy for another hour....i will sit and wait. Yeah for me she is that good. They're good. Usually know hat they're doing but in ask make sure you tell them like you would in any eyebrow place whether you want it thick/thin or round/arched. I needed my eyebrows done, and usually go to a nail salon to get them waxed. That place was closed today, so I decided to try threading. And glad I made that choice! Went in around 3pm on a Sunday, not busy at all. One of the younger girls took me, and within 5 minutes I was done! And it's only $5! Way cheaper than waxing, and not nearly as painful. Not the worst, definitely not the best. I made sure I didn't get Minu, because if they left me with teeny tiny eyebrows it would have been the end of them. The service is AWFUL. I really don't understand why I can't find an eyebrow place where they treat you look a real person instead of a nuisance that interrupted their gossip time. Or why after said interruption by a paying customer they continue to talk endlessly and loudly to each other in a language none of the customers clearly speak. This is rude, extremelly so. It is the equivalent in etiquette of farting at the table loudly. The price point is great for brows and lip. They did a pretty good job for $5. I decided to get a brazilian wax since it was only $30. However it was pretty painful I was not impressed at all with her waxing skills. Won't get that done there anymore but eyebrows I will go there again. read more
