I called for service and was given an appt for Monday between 9 am and 12 pm. At 10:30 am I called to inquire when they will be here since I had been waiting. I was told that the tech would call in a few minutes with an ETA then got a call to say they were not coming. This is unacceptable. They charge a base fee of $95 to show. I called the service to fix the drain cleaning. and the technician gave $2300 bill for that. Its basically their package. Technician seems to be more interested in replacing my condenser and other parts just to fix the drain cleaning issues. he doesn't want to hear about what the subzero guys told me because he has 20+ years of experience. Thermidor built in refrigerator-Broken heating element. Very professional, informative and good communication. We had to wait for the part, that is why I gave 4 stars. This is a long overdue review that I hope may help someone in a similar situation and learn that it is a simple fix. My Sub Zero refrigerator was slowly leaking water from somewhere in the back and coming out underneath the lowest drawer (crisper drawer). The D&V technician came out and proceeded to take every single drawer and shelf out of the refrigerator just to gain access to the drain located at back bottom of the refrigerator. I asked him why and he said he needed access to the drain and use "special equipment" to unclog it. The "special equipment" was basically compressed air he used to blow out the drain hole. He then removed the bottom access panel, outside of the refrigerator and underneath the front doors, to gain access to the drip tray. The tray had some mold buildup that got into the drain thus clogging it. All this took about 2 hours to do and he charged me $561 ($150 of that was for "materials" which was for the special equipment's compressed air LOL, and the rest for labor). Nowadays, I figure with inflation, that billable rate has gone up a bit. Anyways a few months later I had the same problem and decided to fix it myself, no way i'm losing over $500 again on such a ridiculously simple fix!! LOL! This time I just removed the lower 2 crisper drawers to gain access to the drain in the rear and used a can of compressed air that I use to blow dust off my computer keyboards and such. Remove the lower drip tray and clean it. Just took me 10 minutes to do and I saved myself a lot of money! I felt the D&V technician was taking his time to fix the problem, over charging me with an extra hour and for the compressed air. I have stopped keeping my sub zero packed full of food and that seems to help with air circulation, thus the problem is not as frequent. read more

Terrible scheduling system and lousy customer service. System took my appt request yet when I called to give more info, customer server rep said my area wasn't serviced. Was told I'd expect a call back within minutes. That never happened so I called back again. The lady who answered didn't even wait until I was done and hung up saying my area isn't serviced. I called back again and spoke to the first rep I spoke to and now he says my address isn't included despite me giving it to them 3 times. I was given an appointment confirmation and window of 10am to 1pm. Nobody showed. I have since called multiple times trying to find out if anyone was still going to come out. The reps claim they are only a scheduling service and cannot do anything but send messages to a supervisor or management and insist someone will call me. We had our Monogram refrigerator go bad. It didn't quit but the temperature would not get low enough to keep the ice cream hard etc. Ordered a service call from D&V. Received a service call same day which was great. The technician assessed the problem and explained it was a compressor which would cost $1,800. In a pinch we said fine and gave a $900 deposit to order the part. They said it may take 3 days to get the part and get the fridge fixed. 5 days later we called more then 5 times to their number which was a 3rd party call service. No calls back. We then called Howards, where we purchased the refrigerator and they instructed us to schedule a service call with GE appliance repair. They scheduled the service call the next day. Turns out it was only a bad fan and it was repaired within the same day, total charge $390. Thanks to Howards and GE appliance repair and stay away from D&V for numerous reasons. read more

I contacted D&V to repair a set of Thermador refrigerator drawers and also to consult on a possible repair on my Thermador range. They were very responsive at first, offered a same day appointment but then called later to cancel the appointment. We set another time, and this time they texted me to say the technician was on the way and would be there in 30 minutes. No one ever showed up and then I received a text that said "your job is complete". No one answered any phone number I tried to call and all of the mailboxes were full. I never received any response as to what happened and I wasted half a day waiting around for them. I am extremely frustrated and feel this company is very unprofessional. read more

The next day the office called to let me know their service tech would arrive within 20 to 30 minutes. The service tech had a very professional appearance. He layed padded drop cloths on my floor & after the job was completed he cleaned up the area. At 4:30pm I hadn't heard anything so I called to just get a update. NOTHING. I wait until 5:30pm to call again and JUST get an update. NOTHING. Our 9 yr old built in GE Monogram refrigerator freezer quit holding the correct temperature on the refrigerator side and frost was building up in the freezer. I called D&V Appliance and Alex came out to diagnose advising a $95 fee which would be applied to the repair cost if I hired them to repair it. We were also considering just buying a new built in but only the same model we had would fit into the space without doing over some of the cabinetry. Alex said the problem was the condenser motor need to be replaced. Alex seemed very knowledgeable and assured us he could get everything working again like new. The cost parts and labor would be $3000. (A new refrigerator was going to be over $11,000 + sales tax. We went ahead and had Alex order the parts and the next week he was back and in 3 hours had it running like new again. Communications with Alex and his office were great so we always knew what was going on. He showed up when he said he would and the price didn't change. I noticed he was very neat, his truck looked new and very well organized with tools, parts etc. Very happy with the 5 year warranty on parts. Not trustworthy. They are NOT Wolf certified. I called them out for a Wolf range repair, one burner didn't light properly, tech said three needed to be replaced at a cost of $2,000. I asked about warranty, tech said it wasn't covered. Discovered they were not Wolf certified to repair under warranty. I called Wolf, they referred me to Box Appliance Repair come out, the repaired the unit for a service call fee of $300. I would not recommend this company. read more

i contacted D&V for a dryer repair in the early a.m. I was given a time frame same day of 4-7pm. No one called and no one showed up. When I called to find out an ETA the woman put me on hold to talk to a supervisor. I asked if she was part of th4 company, she said she was the receptionist. After putting me on hold for 10 minutes, she came back asking where I'm located. I told her she should have this information if she was the receptionist, in which she said she didn't have access to my information. They had no idea what the status was or able to reach a tech. Any company that cannot call to provide an update or have the courtesy to let a customer know they will be late, deserves a ZERO rating. Go elsewhere. read more

AWEFUL service! Our dishwasher went down two weeks ago. After the technician showed up six hours after the projected time (at the $95 service fee), he made a five minute inspection and told me it needed a new water pump. He told me he could have it delivered in 5 days. It's been two weeks without any communication from this company. They only use an answering service and I have left FOUR different messages with the company without a return call. I am 61 years old and have never written a negative review for any business that I have have been involved with. For your own good, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! We have a Thermador freezer that wasn't working, it took 4 visits, on the second visit they had the door opener working but the freezer was not working, they came out and finally fixed the freezer, but they did not know how to make the door opener to work even though they had it working earlier. It cost $3200! to get it cooling again, but the guys did not really know what they were doing, i would not recommend. read more

I should have read the comments on Yelp before calling the. My bad. My refrigerator has water drops under the freezer door. Alex came and took out a pan full of water and gave me two options to fix the problem. First option, just fix the water leaks from a water reservoir. The cost is $1,690. Yes, I have no idea where is the reservoir or is there one. Second option, replace the compressor and all the copper piping for $4,749. He said the compressor is working hard because of leaky refrigerant and it is bad of health. I think he must think I am stupid. He did even test the compressor. Shining a flash light on it did the diagnostic. Wow. So, I paid $95 for him to empty the drip pan for me. read more

They doubled the price of the part, when we figured that out we called another company that determined the part was fine, a valve had been turned off. No replacement needed and no additional cost. I have a Thermador dishwasher that failed and needed a new pump motor. I called D&V as they advertise to be a Thermador repair service. The call taker was given the error code and the model number of the unit. The repair tech came to my home and diagnosed the problem as a pump failure and said he did not have that pump with him. Seems like if he had the model number ahead of time he should have had the pump with him. They rescheduled him to come back 3 days later and after waiting during the 3 hour window they called me an hour before the end of the 3 hour widow to say the tech was running behind and said he couldn't make it and rescheduled me for 3 days later, now that was 3 days I had to be available in a 3 hour window. Once the tech showed up, he repaired the dishwasher within 45 minuets and the labor charge was $350.00. After all the inconvenience, that was way higher then I thought it should have been. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because he did repair the dishwasher which is what was expected. read more

BEWARE SCAM: This is probably the most dishonest vendor I've encountered. They charged us nearly $1300 for a refrigerator repair, that should have cost $300, and it still wasn't fixed. We learned this from the new repair service, that had to finish the job. ( as an example, D&V charged us $499, for a part that cost $65; $575 for less than 1 hour labor; and $140 for a couple of compression nuts). In addition, they represent a real danger, in that their technician refused to wear a mask!! These vendor should lose any license they may or may not hold, and be banned from doing business in Orange County and/or the state of California!!! ATTEMPTED ROBBERY !!!! ALERT STAY AWAY Came to my home after setting appointment online. Showed up and the first thing the man asked for was my CREDIT CARD. I advised him I will give credit card after the repairs are done and working, he told me company policy was to get Credit Card first. What repair company requires you give them your credit card before they ever work and see if it can be repaired. I have looked around and i have not been able to find any company that requires Credit Card upfront before a repair on an appliance. In my opinion its attempted robbery. The man was rude and just not a professional at all. White van unmarked just seemed shady and not what you would expect from an appliance repair man. Be very careful of fake reviews as well. I had an appointment with them to do repairs on my stove. The appointment was scheduled quickly, they showed up on time, but the technician REFUSED to wear a mask! I had on a mask, asked him where his was and he said "I don't wear masks but I can put on a shield" I said I had disposable masks he could wear and he said "I can't". I asked why not? And he replied "well, I won't, but I'll wear a shield" I said I have my 85 yo mother home and if he isn't going to put on a mask, I wasn't letting him in my home and told him to leave. Absolutely ridiculous during a pandemic. It's also against current regulations for our county. Completely unprofessional.
