Terrifying and Unprofessional Service - OWNER THREATENED TO HIT ME!! My experience at Dcharly Auto Mechanic Shop was not just poor; it was frightening and dangerous. The owner is a volatile individual who threatened me with physical violence. Here's the detailed incident: I purchased a $43 Groupon for a conventional oil change for my Hyundai Elantra. I called the shop beforehand, and the owner, Luimy Olivo, confirmed over the phone that the coupon would be valid for my car (See attached screencap of the phone call made to him). He said come over any time. Went there 2 hours later. He or is staff did not ask for coupon and did the oil change Gave coupon when asked for it after the oil change and he said coupon is not valid because we put synthetic oil in your car!! I told him he confirmed that the conventional oil coupon for $43 will work and he simply denied saying that on the phone. See attached screen shot of the CONVENTIONAL OIL coupon he posted on Groupon, plus the printout of the same coupon that I took with me (I took a picture of the coupon printout in his office as well) I insisted to put conventional and he said he does not has any conventional oil! I again insisted to put conventional so he argued for 5 minutes and then ordered from O'Reilly's and said it will arrive in 30minutes From then on he started talking very unprofessionally One hour after placing order, I asked him to call O'Reilly's. He said he was busy so I had to ask him several times before he called. He told me that O'Reilly's will take another 30-40minutes At this point I told him I cannot wait any more and suggested he send someone to O'Reilly's which is just 1.8miles from his shop and he refused. He lied he is just a manager and is not authorized to send someone to Oreilly's. He is actually the owner of the business. So I called O'Reilly's in front of him but he refused to talk to them on the phone. At this point , I told him he was holding me and my car hostage (while I still had O'Reilly's customer rep on the speaker phone). Right then, HE GOT INTO TOTAL RAGE AND STARTING VERBALLY ABUSING ME WITH VERY FOUL LANGUAGE AND CHARGED TOWARDS ME WITH A CLEAR INTENT OF INTIMIDATING ME AND THEN THREATENED TO HIT ME AND THROW ME OUT OF HIS OFFICE!!! The O'Reilly's representative heard the entire verbal assault and is a direct, unbiased witness to his dangerous behavior. Out of fear of being physically assaulted, I immediately got out of his office and was about to call the police when the O'Reilly's delivery vehicle showed up. At this point I was very tired and shaken so just paid and left immediately after the car was ready for me. I have since called the police to document this horrifying incident. Terrible people. Had a Groupon offer - refused to honor. Are very aggressive and unprofessional.

Overall service was well as job requested was complete. Down side was that I had to purchase my own parts ahead and labor for the job was $450 for 1 hr. There is no set price but you have to negotiate the job that you are asking for. Some jobs will be negotiable and the price will be $150 for 1 hr of labor but may increase. read more

I recently purchased this vehicle for my brother and when I purchased the vehicle, I had noticed that the coolant inside of the tank was green instead of pink and I know Toyota coolant is pink so I took the car to Charlie and he was able to flush the coolant out and refill it with the correct coolant and now my car is good to go I also took another car to him and replaced the transmission and his cost to replace the transmission was half of everybody else's price. Made an appointment to change brake pads and found out that for German cars they need specific parts , in respect that, but it should not change the hourly wage of the mechanic since suddenly a $80 change became $250 per axel. They showed me what needs to be fixed and how much everything would cost and even offered a discount on top of that. Pretty decent pricing for labor. Brake pads needed to be replaced, and your options are to bring in your own and make sure it's correct or let them handle it. Came around 12:30 noon, left at 2:30. Pretty painless & relatively quick and easy. My new brakes are no longer squeaky and work great. read more

I had called and requested a quote for a transmission fluid change. Then when I called back to schedule the appointment, I mentioned that I had purchased a Groupon offer they had. Liars. Liars. Liars. Carlos instructed me to drop off my vehicle at a specific time, yet upon my arrival, there was no one present--no employees at all. This delay caused me to be late for work, and it is evident that neither Carlos nor his staff are concerned about this. Furthermore, Carlos did not bother to inform me that he would be delayed, regardless of the circumstances. They requested that I go to AutoZone to purchase a part, but instead of allowing me to drive myself, Carlos insisted that I enter one of their vehicles, which raises some concerns. Subsequently, I was made to wait at AutoZone for 45 minutes for a task that could have been completed prior to my arrival. After the part I purchased was delivered to their shop, they failed to reach out to me even the next day. This marks the second instance of them losing my contact information, highlighting a significant lack of organization on their part. I find it difficult to place my trust in these individuals. They have yet to demonstrate honesty or any genuine value in their services. It is clear that they do not consider the impact on clients who are investing substantial amounts of money.
