Chicken for 2 (Poulet fermier rôti " la Coucou de Rennes " race ancienne)
    Parissa A.

This was hands down one of the best meals I have had in Paris. The sauce for the chicken was so good you could literally drink it. The chicken itself was perfect and I am still dreaming about the green beans. Everything was excellent and the service was wonderful. Will definitely be returning next time I'm in Paris!

Delicious meal. Had frog legs that were scrumptious. Cunard (duck) confit that was to die for. And a dessert of flan. Staff was very attentive and helpful.

The last dinner we had in Paris was here at D'Chez Eux since it came recommended by a friend. Greeted by 3 gentlemen whom were extremely friendly and was quickly escorted to our table in the back. While we browsed the menu, the waiter brought out bread and a few slices of salami, which seems to be the norm at restaurants in Paris. I did see the waiter floating between a few tables carrying a large basket full of different sausages but didn't see that being offered as an appetizer. I started my meal off with the pate en croute which was one of the two foie gras items available as an appetizer. Though I thought the pate was good it was super rich making it hard to finish especially since it was cold. I decided to order the hanger steak as my main since it was served with fries. The steak was cooked perfectly but thought that it needed to be seasoned a bit more. The shallot sauce was good but seemed to be missing something. The fries on the other hand were perfectly fried and were tasty as hell. I should've asked whether I could've ordered the filet with the fries instead of the sauteed potatoes. For dessert we opted for the cherries with kirsch sauce. The super tart cherries paired well with the vanilla ice cream. Wished they would've given more of the ice cream to balance out the tartness of the cherries but it was still good. The two servers were super friendly and were very welcoming. Would definitely come back in the future since my wife loved their escargots. It seems as the dress code is more relaxed as there was a family sitting near us just wearing jeans and a sweatshirt.

    Delicious rose wine so far.

I found this restaurant using Yelp. It advertises as serving traditional French food. Euphemism for food you old timers ate. Well it was spot on! The restaurant plates and table cloths were custom made for the restaurant. In the tradition of fine French restaurants they served an amuse bouche. A very unpretentious thin sliced saucisson sec. It was excellent and not too fat. We skipped the appetizers and had the whole chicken (for two) farmers style. The waiter explained these chickens were raised outdoors for 130 days on a grain diet. This type of chicken is highly prized as the poulet de brest or fermier in France The chicken was roasted and had a cream sauce added that had mushrooms called morilles. An earthy thick mushroom and flavorful. All delicious!! The wine was a dry rose de Provence that was really nice to drink. As a desert I had the Pierre Herme ice cream. What a treat, this provider of fine deserts in Paris paired two flavors in each ice cream ball. My favorite was the raspberry and lychee flavor combo. As you ate each spoon of ice cream you could taste both fruits. We also tried the cream puff and it was good. Will return for the rest of the menu!

When we got there the Captain server that carves all the meats greeted us with the upmost respect. The other waiter (short overweight gentleman was rude from the beginning) and making jokes at us for being Americans to amuse their local French clients that laughed every time he made a joke. My father could understand everything he said and we felt uncomfortable that we were the group he was picking on. The food was great but he wasn't funny and ultimately because of his jokes gave us a bad experience: If you're a American, I would suggest another French bistro. In my five nights in France, this was the first time I encountered such arrogance and rudeness.

We were recommended to this restaurant by our concierge. It is a quiet place with friendly staff that is willing to explain the menu to you. My wife had the filet which was cooked to perfection and so tender. My daughter had the fish of the day which was sole and I had the cassoulet which was amazing.

Looking to dine at a traditional french restaurant while visiting Paris? Then make a reservation at D'Chez Eux! We made a reservation for 7:30PM and was seated right away. We started the night off with Cabernet, Foie Gras and Escargot. The Escargot was so flavorful and melts in your mouth. It was not over cooked at all and it's super easy to over cook Escargot. I ended the night with the Rack of Lamb and Au Gratin Potatoes. I would fly all the way back to Paris to dine at D'Chez Eux for the lamb. It was cooked perfectly and was packed with flavor. We decided to skip dessert because we were full and wanted to walk over to the Eiffel Tower. I would highly recommend dining at D'Chez Eux.

    Morels and cream sauce

Morels in cream sauce with an egg!? After my own heart. Follow that up with the best rice pudding I've had in my life...you won over for life. The owner takes pride in the face that everything is made in house. If you want a truly home cooked French meal...stop by.

Happy Birthday to my husband on Dec 17th - he came for the Cassoulet and was NOT disappointed. Phenomenal Wine List, thick with pages and pages of treasures, bound in distressed leather. Impeccable Service - even for four non- french speaking Americans, who put their Euros in the trust of YELP and were supremely pleased! 3 Cassoulets and 1 Duck L'Orange - divine!

Escargots!!! I cannot express how much I love escargots so when I saw they had it on their menu I had to get it as my entree. My friend recommended this place for dinner so I made reservation to come. Very old fashion place with a lot of charm. People in Paris must eat dinner later at night because we got there at 7:15pm and there was only one other party. It was not until 8:30 or 9 did it start to fill up with patrons. Cutest decor. There was this pig on their plate which I would have loved to take home. I started with the white asparagus and my husband had the foie gras pâté. The white asparagus were tender and thick. My husband enjoyed the pâté. I wanted two rounds of escargot as my main dish but the waiter suggested to eat 12 first and see how I feel. I was in escargot heaven. Give me a basket of bread and the escargot and I am happy as a clam. The escargots were pipping hot and full of garlic flavor. Pair the garlic and oil with the baguette and it is yummy to the tummy. For round two the waiter suggested 6 as oppose to 12. I think he was afraid it would be too heavy for me. 6 was perfect because I had two more pieces of bread with the escargots. My husband had the hanger steak and he said that was ok. I was too busy with my escargots to even try his steak. I did steal a few fries off his plate and those were good. For dessert we shared the cherries in wine with vanilla ice cream. Great way to end the meal!! Staff is friendly and funny. I saw this waiter walk back and forth with this salami basket and he stopped by to let me look. Wide variety of salmi. Very old fashion and cute decor with delicious food. If you love escargots you need to come here!!

Amazing food and they treat you so well including our kids 7 & 10. The veal and confit de canard are incredible. The starters mains and desserts are all amazing. A must eat at restaurant and mostly locals.

I didn't have French onion soup until this meal, so I was really looking forward to it and it did not disappoint! The beef bourguignon soufflé was absolutely delicious as well and packed with flavor. The soufflé Grand Marnier was a perfect end to our meal, the liqueur added a nice alcoholic taste to the soufflé and is a great addition if you're looking for just a bit of alcohol in your system. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. First, the cheese failed to emit the baked, melted gruyere cheese, there is no aroma at all. I don't think they used gruyere cheese. May be mozzarella cheese. The worst part was the bread in the soup. It tasted stale which ruin the flavor of the soup. I had to finish without the bread. Escargot - Another disappointment. What made escargots special was the garlic butter and herb. Here, there were the herbs, no garlic, and French is famous with their butter but I taste oil but not buttery. Other places I actually get excited dipping the bread into the garlic butter but not here. Pan seared Foie gras - The quality of Foie Gras was definitely there. It's not as well seared as I hope but they managed to cook it through without overcooking it. The size of Foie Gras is kind of scary, it's like a small piece of rib eye steak. With just the onion soup and Foie Gras, I could barely swallow anything. Generous portion.
