They say if the restaurant is full and people are waiting, it is usually good. This was correct with D'licious Caffe in Reno. Located in a small strip-mall with plenty of parking makes it easy to get in and out of. Welcomed by a friendly employee our name was added to the list and after a short wait, we were seated and immediately had our beverage order taken. The menu was vast with additional options. It did not take too long for my wife to decide on the chicken and soup and I decided on the omelette. Not a long wait for our food to be delivered, meanwhile the server made sure my coffee and water was filled. Portions were a perfect size for just about everyone and we left very happy. My wife's soup was flavorful, chicken was moist and seasoned just right. My omelette was filled with items and filled the plate. Egg was cooked just right. Tortillas were fresh and warm. I like to support local business instead of chain food restaurants, especially during Covid-19. So we decided to give this place a try while visiting Reno. We called to confirm they were open and to be added to the waiting list. The lady was really sweet and added us to the list and said it will be about a 10-15 min wait. I said perfect, we will be there in 5. I sent my husband in to check in and the nice young lady who answered the phone said maybe another 10 mins. Then an older man stepped in and cut her off and said no it will be another 25 mins. So I went in and hubby stayed in the car with the kids. She told me another 15. The table became ready in 10. But they weren't seating us. Interesting I thought. Meanwhile, I had a horrible experience in the waiting area. Everyone was social distancing with mask, then one guy walk in with no mask and stands right next to me. Within elbow room. I politely ask him for 6 feet, he replies "I'm not facing you, so idk y it would matter." It was at that moment when things went left. I told him "idgaf 6 ft is 6 feet." I think he caught my drift Just then I noticed our table was cleaned, called the hubby to bring the kids in, and the rude guy who cut the nice young lady off earlier called to seat us, at least I thought he did. As we started walking he said "no not your family, the people aka ignorant asshole next to you." I told him we were before them. That was the perfect time for the nice lady to step up and say, " yes, they called and were on the list before them." She didn't. She instead, let the lady with the asshole say "no they weren't here before us." After waiting roughly 35 mins our family decided that with the racism we were experiencing, let us not eat here. Oh, it was 6 of us, black family. And 3 white folks, total with the "ignorant asshole." Little did they know, my hubby and I tip 30 to 100%. Their loss. Now, on to the chain food restaurant, where service is usually their first priority, us and our children r hella hungry. Mom and pops shops, step yo game up during this time. This is in regards to the review that was posted prior to mine. Do not let the incoherent ramblings of a rude, lying woman deter you from eating here. This is a family owned establishment that serves large portions of home cooked meals. They are incredibly friendly and take pride in their restaurant. The food is awesome! As the party patiently awaited their table, this woman came in and demanded to be seated because she had called to be "put on the waiting list". Although she was Informed that there is no waiting list or reservations taken, this woman made a scene. Her kids ran rampant, without masks, throughout the waiting area. She raised a stink, cursing at both the waiting party and the host, when she was not seated first. Although the waiting party gladly forfeited the table to their family and took a smaller table, this woman stormed out. The server later apologized on their behalf and was truly embarrassed. Food is extremely affordable and delicious. I had two cheese and chicharron Papusas. They were so yummy. My kids had the weekday special, $5.99 two pancakes, two eggs, and two strips of bacon. The only reason I have not given this place 5-stars is because the toast was dry, and the bacon only half-done; although to their credit they do serve the thin sliced bacon and not that thick sliced tough stuff. All of the servers were very attentive. Also, the food is delicious and they give you hearty portions. If you're looking for a laid-back place to have breakfast, I highly recommend this restaurant. Came to Reno for a quick get away, stayed at the Peppermill but wanted to explore food elsewhere. I found this place had good reviews so we decided to chance it. Upon entering, it wasn't what I had expected for a breakfast spot but we followed through and I am so glad we did. The eggs and bacon are nothing out of this world, but they were yummy. We also had the meat lovers skillet with chorizo added with a side of the homemade tortillas. The chorizo was perfect, the tortillas were fluffy and very tasty. We liked it so much that we came back the next day. We got the huevos rancheros which was packed full of flavor! I highly recommend this place!! Customer service was very welcoming and accommodating. Unfortunately we did not have the great experience that many before us have enjoyed. It was a total fail. 1st the pancakes came out burnt, well the pancakes that actually came out. ((they forgot my daughter's Mickey pancake so she didn't have anything while the other 4 of us had our food. Of course I just gave her my waffle so she didn't look forgotten. But it would've been nice since I noticed other tables got theirs that were seated after us. But stuff happens, I get it. Either way, The food just wasn't what I had expected by the reviews. Today decided to try a new breakfast place out. Ordered through gh and went to pick it up. I did not eat there. I even tipped on the app even though they did not wait on me. I drove 8.2 miles round trip so out of my way since there are closer breakfast establishments. Got home and noticed that a slice of bacon was missing from each kids breakfast and my fried egg I ordered was runny undercooked white and yolk. But the disgust was from finding a hair in my food. Pinkish color or copper but it wasn't mine. Im getting refunded from third party and reported them to health department. It was a bust. Won't be returning. read more

A great breakfast find in a Reno strip mall. Clean, properly practices social distancing, very friendly and hospitable service and how can you turn down pupusas for breakfast? Generous and fresh cooked portions. Omelets are piled high with stuffings of veggies and cheese. And dont forget the pupusas with the different salsas and curtido. Family went for a morning breakfast before continuing a road trip. Everyone ordered, and it was so hard to choose! Everything looked so delicious. My daughters thought the strawberry crepes were fantastic. I personally had the peach blintzes, and they were to die for! The eggs Benedict was not amazing, but it was good enough to finish. I think the most impressive thing was how wonderful the service was. Waiters were friendly and efficient, and were checking in on us all the time. There were good Covid precautions, and the service was fast. Before we left, they asked if we wanted coffee for the road, just a kind offer and we gladly took it.
