There was a short wait but they had a great system to text you when a table was ready. We ordered the 1/2 biscuit and sausage gravy and the eggs Benedict with 2 side orders of crispy bacon. Christina H was our server and she was very helpful with providing us with recommendations for the indecisive diners in us. I ordered a 1/2 almond French toast combo with blueberry compote. The sausage patty was nicely seasoned. Most places don't season their breakfast dishes enough, especially the egg and sausage. Just went here with a friend who was visiting me from Dayton. The place is much bigger than it looks from the street. I was so happy that there was no wait for lunch. I like the menu because it has a variety and items that you don't find at other restaurants. Lots of people were there but we found a nice spot to visit. She got an Farm house omelet and the only thing she did not like was it had the white Mexican cheese instead of cheeses that melt like cheddar. I also thought the bread slice was small. I got the poppy seed french toast with eggs and bacon. The french toast is an acquired taste but I love that it had blueberries on top. It came with plain butter and syrup. This was my 1st time at Two Chicks and it didn't disappoint. It reminded me a lot of Ruby Slipper for those of you that have been to the south before. The restaurant is an organized eclectic restaurant that is kept clean and serviced by a knowledgeable staff that is friendly. To drink I had the Strawberry Lemonade Mimosa. This was large and delicious! It was light, refreshing, and had real strawberry purée in it. To eat I had the salmon bene and my husband had the chorizo omelette. Overall the salmon bene was good. The eggs were poached absolutely beautifully. The hollandaise was flavorful. The salmon was cooked perfectly but there wasn't much of it. Unfortunately the English Muffins the bene was served on was larger than the rest of the dish and took away from the meal. I was missing what capers or something would add to the dish-I am allergic to onions so I had mine without the pickled onions so I hope those onions would bring what the dish needs in that department. The chorizo omelette had beautifully cooked eggs and full of flavorful ingredients. The hash browns that the dishes came with were crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside with the perfect amount of seasoning to elevate them. Used to be the best but it's gone downhill. Came on a slow Tuesday the watched every dish that came out sit in the window for at least 5 minutes before being delivered. No bell or urgency to run food while it's hot. Mine sat for 5 minutes while the server talked and then and then she walked passed it and went outside. It was cold and the hash brown was hard and dry after sitting 8 minutes under the heat lamp. The omelette came with 1 piece of toast that was hard and cold it came out 10 minutes after the food had been cooked. We hate cold food so don't know if we will come back. read more

There's generally quite a long wait since it's a very popular place so don't expect to walk right in. When I'm not too hungry I like to order the Two Egg Breakfast with the sage maple sausage and eggs. I love that when you get toast there is always a fun butter that comes with it. When I'm a bit hungrier I like the eggs benedicts and love that you have the option to mix and match from the classic, the caprese, and the veggie. Another good choice is the chicken fried steak and eggs and in general instead of hash browns I like substituting for the parmesan-garlic fries. Two Chicks is a very popular restaurant in Reno and generally hard to get into, almost impossible on the weekends especially at the downtown location with limited parking but we were able to get in today happily. We enjoyed the special of the day which was a pulled pork omelette served with Parmesan hash browns and English muffin and the maple sausage and scrambled egg breakfast. We enjoyed their delicious coffee and were served in about 15 minutes. Our waitress was excellent, Christina H. She really took pride in Two Chicks representing it in her customer service, her information and constantly checking on us. We will return to this location just because of her presence. One of the best waitresses I've come across in Reno in a while. We even bought two mugs based on her recommendation and she packaged them up very nicely and cute little to-go boxes. The pulled pork omelette was just a touch spicy and very flavorful and so big that half was taken home in a to-go box. The maple sausage reminded me of my childhood and was served with two scrambled eggs, two sausage patties, two parmesan hash browns and a slice of sourdough bread with a strawberry butter. They also have cocktails and mocktails but we passed on that today. We love to chicks and love the service the restaurant is decorated so cute. I've been here several times for breakfast when I'm in Reno since it never disappoints. The service and food are consistently great. On my last visit to Reno in November, we ate here twice. There are only 2 things that held me back from a 5 star. 1- our food was not hot, it was barely warm. 2- it may be snobbish but the syrup was not a good quality maple syrup (it was sticky like it had corn syrup in it and didn't have a full body depth of flavor) More: I love that local vendors are utilized. Me and my family stopped by this restaurant yesterday to have a meal before heading back home. We were immediately greeted by the staff and seated. The inside of this restaurant gives me diner vibes which I adore. They even have a chicken coup for decor, vibrant colored walls, and egg shaped plates. Our server was J-Rod and he was great. Being a breakfast fan we were excited to see how Two Chicks compares to our usual fares. We're in the area for a couple of months so Reno has been an open book to us. We were directed to the midtown location and found the inside to be decorated with red and yellow, which is very pleasing to the eye. You will see the significance of this in one of my photos. We got there shortly after they opened and didn't have a problem finding a parking spot or a booth. A lot of the decor is centered around 'chicks'. Our server made recommendations since it was our first time. They serve a butter infused with fruit, which was a first for us. A little too sweet for our liking but cuts the need for jams or jelly.
