I went to the salon couple weeks ago and got gel x simple polish and square. They had me wait about 20 minutes saying they will get to me in 5 ok under stable there busy. This is the second time I've gone where they make me wait and are rushing to get my nails done so they can take people in instead of taking the time to do your nails right. One nail was crooked. And two nails snapped within the same week. I went to get them fixed but they fixed with acrylic so they didn't even look the same . I've never had gelx nails be so fragile. They also don't cut or prep your nails they just start gluing away the nails and "file" . Any ways this is the way my nails looked within a week. I had to go to another salon to get them removed even they were like this is hideous why would they do this. This is the worst set I've had this was $60! Plus tip!. read more

Wow. This salon at first glance was simple and standard. What appeared to be your usual corner salon. All of the staff was polite and I was immediately helped when I let them know I had an appointment with them. I was looking forward to my hair cut as it had been a good year since my last one. I was also looking forward to saving some money by going to my local salon and I definitely did. This all changed however, when I was suddenly met with the person who would be cutting my hair. First off, they did not smile, they did not look thrilled to be there, they had AirPods in both ears, and almost seem unprepared. when they sat me down for my cut they didn't immediately ask what I wanted. I was unsure when to speak up to let them know since English also appeared to not be their first language. Note that I am completely ok with English as a second language, but manners and eye contact help alot with mitigating the confusion. Now onto the service. This was the most violent and painful hair cut I have ever gone through. When washing my hair, she got me drenched in water, the small flimsy towel barely covered my neck or protected me, she got water all over my face along with product. Her nails were long and she roughly scratched my scalp to the point of pain. She almost poked me in the eye as well, thankfully I had my eyes closed anyways due to all the spray. When wringing my hair or grabbing my hair she did it roughly and without an ounce of consideration, it was yanked, pulled, and way too quickly handled. All she needed was to be a bit slower and gentler. She seemed also in a rush. After I walked dripping over to my chair, she sat me down at her messy station where there wasn't even a place for me to put my bag. She grabbed a large tooth combed and violently brushed my hair, so roughly that she snagged my earring causing me pain and almost dislodging it from my ear. She said sorry, but proceeded to be fast and uncareful to the point I did not trust her and removed my very very small hoop earrings that rarely ever remove. The hair cut was fast, she only used one pair of scissors so my faith in her blending ability with the layers was little especially with my straight asian hair. The lighting is so dim that it was hard to tell unfortunately. At first glance it looked ok fortunately, but all I did was ask for a small trim and a bang clean up. The hair drying was painful. She burned my scalp multiple times even though I winced, moved and jerked away, and said ow it's too hot. I don't even recall her evenly applying heat protectant and after my head is itchy and stinging and feels dry and not very moisturized. She also brushed so hard, pulling out multiple hairs and definitely causing breakage. Like I said before, she was in a rush, and did not care at al. After, when I went to pay she mumbled the cost. The Cost: - hair cut was 35$ - was in and out in 20 minutes, not sure if that is a good or bad thing - shampoo and conditioner hair wash 10$ (this added cost for this service was not disclosed when they offered it to me, and considering the experience I would have paid to never do it again) I feel bad leaving such a terrible review, but do not get this person. I unfortunately did not bother to get the name, but she had a big grey hat on, a puffer jacket, the AirPods, and a terrible attitude. It lasted 2 weeks before it began to chip off one of my nails, but the other nails are still fine...other than the nails are growing out so the polish is not down to the cuticle anymore. 3-stars for a regular pedicure. I've been getting pedicures with regular nail polish for years and they always last a month. Unfortunately this one lasted 1 week. I cannot believe it started peeling after just 1 week. So, while the ladies here were all very nice and friendly, I will not be returning for pedicures in the future. The only place I would go to get my hair cut. Rosie is the best! Everyone there is very friendly.

My kids have a haircut at this place, D'Lux Hair & Nails today. The lady (very long hair) who cut my daughter's hair is horrible at cutting her hair. After she completed the job, I went over to check my child and noticed that her hair cut was uneven, the layers were not blended. Kind of look like termites started from the bottom. Some pieces were longer than the rest. I asked her to fix it but she got defensive and argumentative. After much convincing, she took my child back to her chair and proceeded to fix the problem. My child told me that this last lady mumbled in Vietnamese after her exchange with me. I'm assuming she cursed and sweared at me behind my back and in front of my child in her language. During the process she insisted that she should blow dry the hair so she can cut it. I hesitated plenty because the child's hair is already dry, I just need her to finish cutting, so after saying no a bunch of times I agreed. I go and pay, she charges me adult women price and justify that because she blow dried her hair. I don't have a problem paying any price listed but don't be so convincing to customer to blow dry their hair so she can continue cutting and then up-charge it by $15. Let's be very clear. I didn't ask her to style the child's hair, I was specific about not blow drying as I needed to see the end result. I said my kids always refused blow drying as it hurts their scalp. After we left the salon, my daughter said that her scalp was painfully hot and that the lady kept touching her head with the nozzle which felt as if it was on high heat setting. This is the reason why I was adamantly told her not to blow dry my child's hair. This lady is a phony and possibly a scammer at her craft. She's unskilled and unprofessional who is ver argumentative when asked to correct the unevenness. I really have to blame the very young lady who scheduled this appointment in the first place. I specifically told her to schedule my kids with a very good stylist as they've been traumatized in the past by bad stylists. She assured me that everyone here is great. This is not the case. The other younger lady, Tracy who came to check me out, was very nice and professional, and even apologized. She gave me her card. Now why didn't that young lady who made our appointment set us up with Tracy in the first place? My daughter noticed another older lady with sequins outfit was probably the best. I did overheard her speaking in a different language, Asian of some sort. read more

Lavi is a magician! First of all, I've been going to Lavi for 3 years now and so when she opened up her own shop, I was ecstatic because I used to drive over an hour just for my lashes (one way) and now I only have to drive 30 minutes to get to her! On top of that, now I can get everything done in one place: lashes AND nails and hopefully eyebrows soon. I can honestly say, Lavi is THE BEST lash technician. There's a reason why used to drive over two hours (round trip) just to get to her for an entire 1.5 years! So here's a summary of my lash experience: 1) my lashes always come out looking FLAWLESS and prior to Lavi I went to four other eyelash technicians but to this day, no one compares to her 2) Lavi's technique and her products work sooo well and they LAST. I've had ppl complement me in week 3 asking me where I get my lashes done because they always last, but I end up going in because of growth which she takes out all the growth and refills to make it look brand new again. Her technique and glue have also never damaged my natural eyelashes. I know this because i stopped once for a few months at the start of COVID and my lashes looked so healthy. I've also gone to other people in the past where the glue completely messed up my natural lashes and fried it, so I had to stop to prevent any more damage. However, with Lavi that has NEVER happened 3) Lavi is the best person. She is so incredibly sweet and I love going to her because it's fun catching up, and her lash bed is so comfortable I ALWAYS fall asleep. I feel like it's a spa day whenever I go there because I really enjoy her company but then I go out looking like a whole new human. Now to the other reviews: When she opened her shop, I wanted to try everything so I did my toes and my nails. They both turned out great! Kim had done my toes and I do have a little bit of an ingrown toe nail but she cleaned up my toes so well AND helped alleviate the pressure on my toe which I've had many pedicure technicians not do OR If they did, they did it painfully. However Kim's pedicure was super relaxing and she also gave a really nice massage (for the basic pedicure + upgrade to gel) and after the massage she wiped down my legs and toes with a really nice warm towel that I honestly I didn't want to leave. I was so relaxed with her massage which was actually fairly long (which I loved and appreciated) that I can't imagine going anywhere else for my pedicure now. Highly recommend a million times over and really great ambiance with every worker being so friendly and facilities being brand new and very clean :) Lashes, toes, nails = 10/10 and if I could rate higher I would. Dana and Kim are very sweet as well and have helped me multiple times with things such as nails and waxing and I always leave satisfied with the service I was given! I get my haircut here as well and although it's been done by multiple hairstylists in this salon I have never once left disappointed and again received compliments asking where I got my haircut!
