Not the best experience. I came in for a regular pedicure, and my technician kept trying to upsell me on their services. She kept asking me if I wanted to upgrade to a gel pedicure instead or if I wanted to get a manicure, even though I told her multiple times that I was trying to grow out my damaged natural nails. It's annoying when you can't enjoy the service you booked without someone trying to weasel more money out of you. A few days after my pedicure, I noticed cracks in the nail polish. I've gotten pedicures at multiple places and I've even painted my toenails myself (I'm an amateur so my skills are...not great), and this has never happened to me before. I'm thinking that maybe it's because she applied the polish too thick? I chose a white polish and it wasn't the most opaque. read more

The only advice I'd give is to make sure that you book an appointment online before going since it's harder for them to accommodate walk ins with only two people on staff. The paint job on my regular manicure was very uneven as you can see from my photos. I can do a better job myself. Actually, the more I look at it, the more I dislike it. $16 for a regular mani is pretty pricey for the area. Everywhere else charges $14-$15. They also cut my cuticles in two areas and I started bleeding. When she saw me wipe the blood on the towel, she put some blue liquid that burned on the cuticle. Heard their gel manis are good, but since I don't like gel, they aren't the salon for me. read more

I needed some serious self-care, including a hair cut and long-overdue pedicure. I took a chance on Blue Nail since I was in the neighborhood and I was so pleasantly surprised! Jennifer gave me the best pedicure I've ever had, with salt scrub, callus treatment, fixed an ingrown nail, and foot massage. When Lisa washed my hair she gave me a luxurious head and neck massage, then she gave me exactly the cut I asked for (and fixed the bad haircut I'd previously had), then styled my hair with a flatiron just for fun. The good first: My toes were almost done perfectly (except for a scratch that kind of hurt). The lady who did them made sure that the shape of my toes were smooth and I could tell she was really attentive to detail. She probably took about an hour to do my toes which I could tell she spent every minute to deliver a good quality pedicure. The Bad: However, my nails, who was done by seemingly the manager (she answered all the phone calls and checked folks in), was done in a complete rush. I had an appointment at 5PM, and there were only 3 ladies doing nails but four customers (including myself) and there were a ton of walk ins, which the manager told all of them that they could get to them in a few minutes. Hence the rushed job on my nails, which most of the nails were not painted fully (as pictured) and I could see some bubbles on a couple nails. Also, the layers were not done nicely and she was just going to do two layers, so I had to insist she do a third layer (which she clearly was annoyed with because she wanted to take all the walk ins who came at 6PM). Also, a regular Mani/pedi gel is $80?! That's without tip, there are other better spots where you still place less than that with tip... Wanted to try a new spot closer to home, but definitely not going back. read more

Worst manicure I've ever had-Must have been a big misunderstanding. I was able to walk in at noon on a weekday, so that part was fabulous and it wasn't overly expensive: $20 with tip.
