If you are looking for a fun place to go to and play Airsoft then this is where you want to go. There are a couple options in DFW but if your looking for outdoor then this really is the only option that makes sense. The staff definitely go out of the way to make it a fun time and make sure that you are enjoying yourself. If you have any problems you can go to them and they instantly handle it for you. The field itself is well taken care of and unlike other outdoor fields they actually take care of the grounds and your not running around in an overgrown field. There is a Pro Shop on site that has an assortment of things that you may need if you forgot something and everyone in the cabin and the Pro shop were very friendly and welcoming. Went there with a group for the weekend. Equipment worked fine, and the games were organized well. Got pretty tired, but it was worth it.

Great experience at D14. The games were well organized, the staff was professional, and it was really easy to get registered and get our rifles chrono'd before play. The play area is very large with a lot of unique terrain, buildings, and cover. read more

I had a absolutely horrible time here. The owner and staff made racist remarks continuously. If you are a Person of Color as I am then you will be made to feel extremely uncomfortable with how this place is and it seems to be by design. I tried it anyway since I was with a few friends and we drove over to try it out. The other teams were regulars and also had a habit of using racial slurs, along with spawn camping, and not leaving the field when they were hit. They would lie about it instead and the staff would have a big grin on their face and do nothing about it. If this sounds good to you then you will have a good time. Considering this is pay to play I felt like I paid to be bullied. I recommend any field over this one. Any one of them has to be better. read more

This place is the best I have gotten an M 14 and it never fell apart. It is the best quality I don't know but to me it feels pretty heavy after I'm nine years old. My dad bought it for me for my birthday but it's a pretty good gun. read more

I had heard good things about this field. I finally got to attend this past weekend for operation southern front. You can expect a multitude of terrain, and lots of structures and cover. There is lots of creek area with heavy brush I enjoyed most. This field is pretty far for me at 3.5 hr trip, so for me it's to far for regular weekend play. The immediate area is a bit lacking on options for hotels and food. I ended up staying in gainsville which was a bit of a drive. But I still very much look forward to attending this field for future events. Lots of parking, the only thing this field lacks is facilities. It does have porta Johns and covered areas for players, but no indoor shop or dedicated field tech. That's the only thing the property lacks in my opinion. And I feel that will improve after they finish investing more in the play areas. So I consider the spartan pro shop not matching the quality of the field a simple result of growing pains. 5 stars for me. read more

This is a great place to go during the weekend. I just went today, and had a blast. The staff are great and helped me out when I got dehydrated. The community of people that play there are not toxic at all, and are very kind. To get in, you gotta pay $25 per person, which isn't expensive considering it lasts all day. read more

Fun. If you haven't been able to experience D14 and you enjoy airsoft you are missing out. I have been going with friends for about 4 years and I always have a great time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is always a tech as well, so if you ever need something fixed they can help you out. An amazing arena for those who want to explore or for those who play consistently. Very little if any drama, staff takes care of the players and police up the cheaters. This review, and the rating, is meant for people new to airsoft. And, to be fair, my criticisms may really lie with the people who go there rather than the staff. Short version: The good: great field, cool obstacles and structures, helpful staff, shop on site for last minute needs and a hot dog food truck with a great couple. Some nice and friendly players The bad: about 20% of the players are older, solider wannabes that scream insults and expletives at each other, complain when obvious 12 year olds fail to act like seasoned soldiers and pout when they don't get the attention they feel they deserve. Background I've been to D14 twice now as my son, 12 years old, wanted to get into the sport. The field came to our attention from the staff at Airsoft GI in Plano, Texas (who are a great group of guys by the way). I went along as I had typical parental concerns about the game, etc. But, other than watching YouTube videos, we had no experience in the game. We have played indoor paintball together -things like Gatsplat and the like - but this "feels" like a much different environment. The staff do a good job of enforcing safety rules and keeping things fun. I have no real criticisms of them and, instead, found them enthusiastic and utterly helpful. You start each game with a mandatory check of your chosen weapon. The guns are tested to see, basically, how close you can be when your shoot at someone. The rules apparently changed between the two weekends we went and I'm not sure I understood the nuances. But, the make it simple by putting a piece of colored tape on the gun. Signs nearby also outline and reinforce those rules. Each game starts out in a pavilion area with the staff going over the unique gameplay rules for each event. This is where you will first notice the dynamic of generally older guys who have spent upwards of $1000 on guns, magazines, clothes, harnesses, etc., getting wired up. We tried to congregate with younger players, to give my son the chance to pair up with someone with similar experience, while the "elite"(for lack of a better term) bunched up with other similar guys. Then, it is off to the field. Games are mostly fun. Lots of walking, running and crouching. It is easy to get lost. We tried to tag along with some of the younger "regulars" who seemed to know where to go. But, most of your first experience will be confusing. Still, fun. Getting hit is not bad. I'd been expecting a more punctuated smack from the bbs, but - unlike paintball - it rarely hurt. One thing no one is explains before hand is that even if the bb barely touches you, it is considered a hit. Sometimes, it is hard to tell but the "elite" types will be sure to let you know. They seem to be able to tell when they hit someone, through brush and obstacles and being about 50-100 feet away. Here is where the shouting starts. With lots of first timers and kids, I'd think it would be obvious some don't know what they are doing and accept it. After all, this is a game where people dress up and pretend to be in the army. But these "elite" guys all seem to lose their minds even when a 12 year old acts like, well, a 12 year old. Since I'm new to airsoft, I'll withhold judgment and see if is just a few people who are like this or whether it is the sport in general. My report is just based on my experience here. Bottom line: be prepared if you choose this place for your first airsoft experience. There are many helpful people there but watch out for the "elite" guys, they can ruin the whole thin So, I have been back to D14 a few more times and want to update my review. The staff is outstanding and work their backsides off to make sure everything runs well and people have fun. Highly recommended for this alone. The field is great fun as well. I now have the perspective that the only challenge is the group that may be there. This is the good news. I think the make up of the group changes but have now met a lot of really great people who play there. I still think there are some who take it way too seriously and use questionable language but this is a fact of life anywhere you go. They are, fortunately, a minority and once you know that are easily ignored. So I'm raising my rating by one since the player group is variable and the few bad apples are really not D14s fault read more

Just driving past, you wouldn't notice much other than a sign saying "D14 Airsoft" but do not be unimpressed. This place has organization and a battlefield from the heavens. $25 for the whole day and you will get better cardio than a gym membership will offer. The community is great too. I made friends with 5 people my first day and plan on meeting them up here in the future. Airsoft at D14 will make you want more and I will definitely drive 6+ hours monthly to come back read more
