There's a small kitchen area where the menu is and where you place your order. Cooks are viciously making the orders that others are placing, and you can hear the constant sizzling of hot dogs on their grills. They have bar seating on the other side along with a bunch of tables close by but they were all taken since it was prime dinner time at 7:30pm on The Strip and people were walking all around the area. We decided to eat over at a nearby taco joint in the end. Both of us got their D.U.I. Dog, which has pastrami, carne asada, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, a ton of cilantro and chipotle aioli (a mayonnaise kind of sauce). Very packed with flavor with all the meats inside, and the cheese melts so well inside the hot dog. They even put this inside a relatively big carton container, the same kind I've seen the staff put their D.U.I. Fries in... holy crap those are some huge portions! For $18 before tax though, this hot dog was already slightly massive for its size, at just about a foot long. Very nice start to a great time in Vegas! Also a great hot dog stand with immensely tasty dogs.

The crispness from the bacon is awesome, and the dogs are a good size, so the meat to bun ratio holds up. That's usually off when you put a hot dog in a lobster roll, but not here. We had the house dog, the chili dog, and the elote dog, plus a side of esquite. The food was good. If you're craving a hot dog, it's worth stopping in

But hey, it's Vegas! $46 seems wild for two dogs (well, only one was an actual dog), I sure hope it's worth it...hold on while I take a bite... The veggie dog came with hummus, pico and sauerkraut. Not my favorite combination on a hot dog, So I just got ketchup, mustard and onions. And it was pretty good. The crinkle fries were seasoned, but they tasted like chicken (or at least cooked in the same oil as chicken), so I didn't eat them. The Detroit Coney was everything EXCEPT a Detroit coney. It wasn't a hot dog, but sausage. The chili was chili--actual chili. And if you have ever been to Detroit, then you know the chili is not "real" chili, but more like a hot dog spread. If you aren't from the D, it's hard to explain. This chili was an upgrade, for sure. This dog came with mustard, chopped onions and cheese--similar to a Detroit coney, but the bun was more like a French roll instead of a hot dog bun. The bread could have, and should have been steamed. It wasn't and that took away from the "Detroit Coney" concept. It's a "well, at least I ate" kind of meal. Not noteworthy, but it filled us up, I guess.

For what this truly is - a late night spot serving up greasy drunk food and drinks - it's just fine…read moreand serves its purpose. This cute food truck is located inside the Park MGM just around the corner from the room elevators which makes it an ideal stop on your way back to your room after a show at Dolby Live or a night of dancing at On The Record. I had tried the corn dog bites which are pretty much exactly what you think they are - deep fried mini corn dogs, but they do come with a good quality mustard to dip into which adds a little something. The Hand Burger was flaky and buttery, I had expected something more akin to an empanada and was pleasantly surprised. The cheese and meat filling was decent and drunk me had no complaints! Slushies have rotating flavors and I believe I got the mango, which was sweet and fruity, perfectly balancing out the tequila nip I added on! Signs say to order at the kiosk, but there was someone still taking orders at the window and you need to order at the window anyways if you want a drink.

If you've seen Chef, you probably walked in hoping for that iconic Cubano experience. Same here…read more Unfortunately, the Cubano at Chief Truck is all hype and none of the magic. The sandwich came out dry, bland, and completely lacking the flavor you'd expect. The bread wasn't crispy, and the whole thing tasted like it had been pre‑made and reheated. The food came out fast--almost too fast--which only reinforced the feeling that everything was cooked ahead of time and microwaved before serving. The bright spot: the cheese sticks and pretzel bites. Those were actually worth ordering and had way more care put into them than the Cubano. Overall, the Cubano is not recommended. If you go, stick to the snacks.
