You will definitely need to make a reservation weeks ahead of time for this experience. I believe it is closing soon. Area 15 is a pretty large complex, but the café was not hard to find. You will have to pay for parking, but it is pretty inexpensive. Even though we had a reservation for 130 was still waited about 30 minutes for our table. While you wait, there is a step and repeat backdrop for photos. Once we were seated, it was like we were transformed into a 1980s/ 1990s Barbie dreamworld. There is even a life-size doll box for pictures to stand in. Pictures are encouraged. To start we had the beet hummus which was pink and delicious. We also had the spinach dip which was also delicious. The appetizers came out reasonably fast. Most of us had burgers for our meals. The food came out pretty quickly, however two of burgers took an extra 30 minutes. They did comp those. Once you are done walk over to the outside part. Went Meow Wolf at Area15 in Vegas and on the way in we saw the Malibu Barbie Cafe! Hostess Barbie informed us that it's a pop-up and we're like yeah... we're coming back after. So we did the whole Meow Wolf experience and then headed over to Malibu Barbie on our way out Monday. Your reservation includes: Each reservation comes with $10 Food Credit + $5 of merchandise retail credit and 90 minutes. Food and merch credit cannot be combined or traded in for cash value. You pay the $50 for a table reservation and roller rink time is included but skates are an extra $2. When you walk in there are so many cute photo ops. The music was on point and all the waiters and waitresses called us "Barbie," which I loved. Bathrooms were clean and the whole vibe was just fun and girly. We told our waitress we had just finished the half marathon Sunday and she was so sweet. She brought us two cake pops and sent us off with cookies to go. So sweet waitress Barbie! We shared a burger and got a couple cocktails. The cocktails were yummy and glittery. We also ordered macarons. They came out before the burger but it wasn't a big deal. The burger was actually really good and the aioli was delicious. It came with a pickle, which I love. We never felt rushed at all. After we paid, we checked out the roller rink and the merch store. The rink is kind of small, perfect for kids. Me and my friend did a couple laps and were like okay, we're good. Still super fun. The merch was cute too. They had the little car that one of the sundaes comes in, plus a bunch of Barbie merch and single Barbies. Overall it was such a fun stop after Meow Wolf and a perfect little Vegas moment. The Malibu Barbie Cafe is so beautiful. I've always loved Barbie since I was a child. I was so excited to have lunch with Maddy yesterday. Our reservation was for 2:30, we were finally seated at 3:28. Management needs to step in and help the flow of seating, cleaning the tables and service. They seat everyone at the same time so service is not great. Tables are left empty instead of moving people in and out. Was in Vegas for a few days for the Backstreet Boys and we decided to check this place out. We took a zoox there from the Wynn l, which was a cool experience in itself. When we arrived we realized we needed to book ahead but were able to get a spot. There were a lot of picture opportunities and the ticket included $10 food credit and $5 merch credit. I ordered a burger, which came with fries and a Diet Coke (they added sparkles to it). Food was good and filling . Service was great! Waitress was friendly and food came out quick. This Barbie girl had a blast! I traveled to Vegas for work and had heard about a pop-up Malibu Barbie café at area 15 and was super excited that I was able to get a reservation during midweek while I was going to be in town. Fair warning although it is a little expensive for admission tickets it does come with a $10 food credit as well as a five dollar merchandise credit and it was really worth every penny! The dining room is absolutely adorable and is perfectly decked out in full Barbie fashion with lots of little nooks and crannies to take fun photos. I went with a group of friends and we had a blast being in real life Barbies in all of the cool photo op spots, including a giant Malibu Barbie box that you could step into and strike a pose. The food was really delicious, I will admit I was skeptical, but they really did a great job. For appetizers we had the Good Vibes Beet Hummus and the Surf's Up Spinach Artichoke Dip and then for my entrée I had the Beach Burger which was absolutely delicious. It was a smash burger with grilled onions and the cheese was nice and melty and the bun was oh my gosh delicious, it was topped with a sauce very similar to the sauce used for animal style fries at In-N-Out. I would 10 out of 10 recommend the burger. I paired it with the side salad, which was tasty and featured fresh shaved Parmesan on top which added some healthy aspects to my burger. For r dessert, I had the Make a Difference Macaroons, which were tasty, and I loved that they were dusted with glitter. The gift shop was cool and the swag wasn't too expensive. They had a really cute bundle where you could get a tote, a hat, a journal and a keychain for like $45. There was also an outdoor skating rink which I did not testate because I was so full from dinner, but it looked super cute. Everything was themed from the menu to the merch shop and it was just a really fun experience as an adult fan of Barbie. I had a blast and I'm sure that this place is awesome for the kiddos because as an adult, I had a great time! It was fun to see the other patrons. My friends and I were in Vegas for the week and really wanted to check this place out. We arrived at our reservation and were warmly welcomed by the staff. They sat us down right by the Barbie box. We were all overwhelmed in the best way possible. It's such a cute lil spot filled with pink and Barbie. When you reserve a spot to eat, they give you a $10 food voucher. So pink and so fun!!!!! We girls have so much fun. It doesn't matter how old you are, there is alway a Barbie inside each one of us. The dining room is spacious and well decorated. Saw that this place was coming online and a friend had wanted to go so we decided to book this in advance to go two days before Christmas .... We ordered two mocktails neither one of us felt like drinking.... also they will tell you multiple times that it is only 90 minutes for your reservation sometimes to the point where it became quite annoying we know we have 90 minutes. I'm not sure why you keep reminding us every five minutes. !!! we received our drinks, but they were just OK very sweet and one was extremely sour As for the food, I decided to get the grilled cheese with a side salad pretty basic, not too hard to mess up.. and my friend got the avocado toast with french fries it took quite a while for our food that came out so while you're waiting for your food, feel free to explore and take pictures because like I said, you only get 90 minutes which they will basically hammer into your head !! The place is small so it won't take you that long to get around to take all the pictures. The aesthetic is cute. Now for the food, it's definitely nothing special. I would definitely not return for food or probably just won't return at all. To be honest. My grilled cheese was kind of cold. It wasn't even very warm so there was no cheese pool when you tried to break it open nothing the salad was a basic salad nothing special my friends, avocado toast she said was cold as well so I'm not sure if they make the food and let it sit out but definitely don't expect your food to be piping hot fresh because it won't be. If you're a Barbie girl in a Barbie world this place is aesthetically pleasing and fun for photo ops. it was freezing outside and the skating with our mini Barb didn't last long (check the temp before you go it was freezing last night) but she did have a great time which is what mattered most. $10 credit for food per person was issued and that was pretty cool. I had a very disappointing experience at the Malibu Barbie Café in Las Vegas, and unfortunately, it was an extremely expensive letdown. I am a local and had planned this outing specifically for my 5-year-old daughter and a few of her classmates. In total, there were seven of us including parents and kids. I had seen countless highlights from local food influencers, and the café looked like a fun, exciting place for a group of young kids. I personally love Barbie, so I was genuinely excited for this experience as well. We all dressed up and made a day of it. Before arriving, I tried extensively to plan ahead. I searched Yelp, Google, Apple Maps, and even OpenTable, and could not find a phone number anywhere. I also tried calling Area15 twice and never got through. Based on all of that, I assumed this was a first-come, first-served type of venue. When we arrived together, I approached the host stand where three women were standing. The main hostess immediately appeared unhappy and unwelcoming. She asked if I had a reservation. I explained that I had tried everywhere to find a phone number or reservation option and could not locate one. She bluntly told me they were not affiliated with Area15 and that without a reservation, we would have a two-hour wait. I asked how people were supposed to make reservations if there was no phone number listed anywhere. I also explained that I felt embarrassed because I had invited these families and was worried the kids would be disappointed. She offered no response at all, just a blank stare. When I clarified that I was not upset but genuinely trying to understand, she finally said reservations are made through Bucket Listers. I told her I had never heard of that platform before. Again, she responded with silence and an extremely cold demeanor. Her behavior was noticeably rude, and the other parents clearly picked up on it. I turned around to explain the situation, and understandably, the other families decided to leave. I felt awful. My daughter was very upset and did not want to leave, so I tried to salvage the experience by buying her a $30 Barbie from the gift shop. While waiting in line, I checked Bucket Listers and saw available time slots as soon as five minutes later. At that point, I decided to proceed despite the earlier treatment. When I returned to the host stand after purchasing the ticket, the original hostess was gone. A younger girl with curly hair helped us, and she was much kinder. However, by then the damage was done, as the rest of the group had already left. For clarity, this was not an issue of party size. I had even asked if we could split into separate two-person tickets, and that was denied. Once inside, it quickly became apparent that the operation was chaotic. Guests were being seated without any clear order. We were walked to the back, then the front, then told to wait again, and eventually seated at a very small table. I tried to stay positive for my daughter's sake. My daughter has celiac disease, and the menu had very limited gluten-free options. The $10 dining credit also cannot be used toward desserts, which felt restrictive given the price of admission. She ordered the Barbie car float, which is cute in concept, but the tables are so tiny that I had to constantly worry about spills. Almost immediately after the float arrived, the server attempted to take the Barbie car away. My daughter was not playing with it, just looking at it, and she became upset. I asked if we could please keep it for a couple of minutes, which we did, and then returned it as requested. The only other gluten-free option of interest was French fries. After eating, we took photos and then headed to the roller-skating area. Once there, we were required to wait 30 to 40 minutes because they were fixing a nail sticking out of the rink, yet children who were already skating were allowed to continue. When it was finally our turn, it was very cold outside, much time had already passed, and the protective gear provided did not fit properly. The wrist guards and elbow pads were stretched out and ill-fitting. That said, roller skating ended up being the best part of the visit for my daughter. Overall, I did not enjoy this experience at all. I felt disappointed, embarrassed, and frustrated. I will not recommend this café to friends or family. The way I was treated by the hostess should have been my sign to leave, but I stayed solely to try to make my daughter happy. In hindsight, the money would have been far better spent elsewhere. I will also add that the Barbie store itself has a very limited selection. From start to finish, this experience felt like one letdown after another. read more

I was cautiously excited to visit the Malibu Barbie Cafe, especially since this pop-up is produced by Bucket Listers. Unfortunately, after a previous disappointing experience with one of their themed experiences, this visit confirmed the same issue: lots of aesthetics, but very poor execution. Reservations are required, and there are strict rules. They ask that you check in 10 minutes before your reserved time slot, there's a 15-minute grace period, a 90-minute dining window, and no refunds or reschedules. My friend and I paid about $68 after fees for a table for 2 from 2:30-4:00 p.m. and arrived around 2:15 p.m. Despite this, we waited in a long, disorganized line with no communication or signage. I talked to several people in line who said they didn't have reservations, which added to the confusion. The line was barely moving, so around 2:45 p.m. my friend asked the hostess about our table. She was assured our table would be honored, although past the time slot. We ended up being seated at 4:05 p.m. Well past our paid time slot. At that point, we were very hungry and frustrated. I want to be clear: the staff were kind, patient, and doing their best. I think the issue is management. There was no communication about delays, despite visible empty tables and clear understaffing. I'd also like to mention that towards the front of the line, the hostess began putting wristbands on people and offering for us to use the skating rink while waiting on our table. But a simple text or e-mail update or clearer check-in process would've made a big difference. Instead, we were all left standing around, confused, cold, and waiting. Yet leaving would mean losing out on what we paid for, since you can't request a refund or reschedule. It's unfair to enforce rigid policies on customers while failing to uphold the basic promise of a reservation. The cafe itself is undeniably cute. The decor is fun, very pink, and very Instagrammable with a few photo ops. The Barbie Box is definitely the most popular one. The history-of-Barbie display is interesting, but awkwardly placed behind a dining table. We ordered burgers and fries, which was fine but forgettable. The burgers weren't truly smash-style and were slightly pink (worth noting for those who prefer well-done. We weren't asked how we wanted them cooked. We personally don't mind pink, but good to know for those who do). Fries weren't that hot. Our server was very sweet, but very busy. She was attentive, but clearly juggling a lot. Everyone from the person that checked us in, to the person that seated us, to the server thanked us for our patience since they're short-staffed. Our server was clearly juggling a lot. On another note, you do receive a $10 food credit and $5 merch credit with your ticket(s). Ultimately, this pop-up prioritizes visuals over organization and customer experience. Very cool experience. It was like I was 5 again. Shot out to Rose are server, she was super nice, helpful with questions, and took good care of us. Food was yummy, but a little skimpy on some ingredients. As the Vegan in the group, I just had a side of fries. I couldn't waste money on another plant based burger that costs more then a whole bag of plant based burgers. Fries were good. Aesthetic is fun and playful, even for adults. We went here for a dinner date and the price is not worth it. We were expecting an experience but instead felt underwhelmed with everything. The cafe was small, the seating was uncomfortable, there weren't a lot of photo ops and the cafe lighting was not great for pictures. The Photo Booth at the entrance with the green screen was cheap since the green screen came out in the pictures despite selecting a background. There weren't a lot of food options but we got the burger and the grilled cheese with a side salad. The burger was juicy and tasty however, the grill cheese had a lot of Dijon overpowering the fig jam. Overall, food options: 1 out of 5, our food quality and taste: 2 out of 5. Our server, Kitty, was actually the person who gave us some sort of an "experience" feeling. She was friendly, funny, and helpful. Definitely couldn't pass on checking this fun Popup cafe. Definitely have your ticket in advance or else you risk waiting a couple of hours or another day. The concierge personal seemed a bit irritated when asked questions about getting a table and at time of check in seemed a bit u organized because you have to check in with them while other parties also have the same time slot and if so you will have to wait for everyone to have their wrist bracelets on to then take you all in even if you are in separate groups. What I loved the most about the cafe was the food coming out, their menu is small but everything I ordered was delicious. The server was very friendly and explained the menu since was not clear that the meal came was fries and saved me from ordering fries. The ambiance inside is cute and girly. She undermined the food and establishment. My girlfiend loved the San Diego pop up since she works comic con so she had high expectations for this one. I like to chat with servers / bartenders but i dont want to hear how much you hate your life and job. I hope the next pop up has servers who can at least pretend to like their job. Food was solid. We loved our experience here, although I think there were some missed opportunities for the wait staff to wear cute pink uniforms and on the day we went it was National Barbie Day which I think they could have had some special event planned for that day. Overall the food was delicious!! read more

My daughter, my granddaughter went to the Barbie Cafe. It was almost empty, but they still had to inform us that we only had 2.5 hours to spend at the Barbie Cafe, to give others the same experience. What others? Anyway, the place was super cute and my 5 year old granddaughter had such a great time. My daughter and granddaughter took many photos and they all turned out so cute! We ordered lunch, it was fine. My granddaughter order fruit skewers and she loved the yogurt and fruit! My daughter and I ordered the hamburger, it was fine, a little salty but not enough not finish it! After eating, my granddaughter tried roller skating for the first time. She didn't do as well as she hoped, but loved trying! She picked out a cute barbie. All in all, fun times at the Barbie Cafe! read more

We went on Sunday took 30 minutes in line wasn't busy tables were open. I think it frustrates people when they're in line and there have open tables Thought that was weird since you had to book a reservation Seems like they were understaffed waitresses and hostess outfits could've been cuter Food was OK pretty basic for the price additional price for entry. Also didn't like how they didn't give you a printout of your receipt so that everybody knows how much was there half .Gift shop wasn't anything special It would've been cuter if they would've had some Barbie jewelry Barbie pins stickers, some kids shirts. read more

Loved it! Visited Vegas and made sure to put it on the list for our Area 15 hangout. As an adult, the roller rink felt way too dangerous to spend long on it, but the kids seemed to have fun! read more

We made reservations for our granddaughters birthday, they limit party size to 6-8 just because of table size, we were 7. The burgers are smash burgers and really tasty, the pancakes were also good, avocado toast is always a fave and it was good as well, fruit skewers okay, probably in season fruit would be better. Service was excellent we never really waited for anything. Of course everyone and everything is called Barbie. It's a cool experience and a definite must for your child or inner child. Lots of photo opportunities with prop walls and stuff. Skating rink and merchandise of course. read more

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience at Malibu Barbie. We came in as a walk-in with my family, including a baby. My family lined up while I approached the front reception to ask what the proper process was. I was told that since we didn't have a reservation, it was okay to walk in and that we should come back at 6:00 PM to be seated. At no point was it mentioned that we needed to purchase tickets or remain in line. We returned exactly at 6:00 PM after spending about 30 minutes walking around inside the venue, only to be told that we now had to wait another 45 minutes, purchase tickets, and line up. This was extremely frustrating, especially with a baby, as clear instructions from the beginning would have avoided wasting time. Time is very important to us as visitors, especially since we were visiting from Los Angeles, and even more so when dining with a child. After the additional wait was explained, we were then told that we could also "come back the next day." At that point, we decided not to dine and not wait any longer. What made the experience more upsetting was being told by the front desk staff that I was "rude," despite calmly asking why the process was not explained earlier. I remained respectful throughout and was simply seeking clarity. Unfortunately, I was not given the proper opportunity to be heard out, and the miscommunication was never acknowledged. I fully understand that it was New Year's and that businesses are busy, but clear communication and respect for guests' time should still be a priority. Very cute to be able to take my daughter to a Barbie themed cafe. Free parking for locals at Area 15 which is a plus. Made reservations online and you must pay in advance as well. This is located on the outside of Atea 15 in the Illuminarium building. Menu is limited and fairly reasonably priced. The cheeseburger was actually very good and it comes with fries or fruit. There are cute photo ops inside the cafe. They also give a $10 food credit per person and a $5 merchandise credit but can't be used to buy the Barbie cookies. The female server was ok but not great. The experience is nice but dont expect outstanding service. Outside of the cafe is the roller skating rink and the gift shop. Roller skating is $1 per person so what a great deal! They provide helmets, skates and knee and elbow pads all included. The guys outside running the skating rink were super nice and the first employees that actually smiled and looked happy to be there. The gift shop sells Barbie cookies with no seed oils for $6 a bag and you cannot use the $5 credit. Make sure you ask your server for the sample bag of cookies to try to see if you like it. Overall was a good one and done experience that could have been great had the cafe staff been more friendly and had better customer service skills. I saw families and adult women enjoying the cafe because everyone knows Barbie! I would recommend trying it once but hopefully they will give a guest service refresher to the wait staff. read more

First of all, you have to pay to get in for the "experience ". $25.15 per person. You do get $10 food credit and $5 merchandise credit so that comes out to $10.15 entrance fee. If you don't buy or eat anything, not worth it. Food was not great and overpriced in my opinion. I ordered the avocado toast but got a huge pile of arugula on soggy bread. Kids had chicken tenders which was more breading than chicken. The fries were ok. There were a few photo op spots but nothing special. The servers were nice and polite. It was more of a gimmick. You have to be a hardcore Barbie fan to appreciate the place. The wife was not impressed and she loves Barbie. Don't waste your time. read more
