I was so excited that they were open! I was hungry - didn't have lunch, yet. Lol! But this is the best kine lunch!!! Broke da mout- ONO!!!! Perfect, I had some time to kill, so why not get me a "kalo bomb?!" Sitting in my car, with the AC on watching all the traffic pass me by- but so elated eating this deliciousness!!! Service was fast and definitely with a smile! Makes the drive to West Side all worth it! Ono ice cream and the pa'i'ai was the perfect consistency and so yummy!!! You gotta come check it out! I'm gonna finish my bowl now!

So delicious and so unique! In the same spot as kalo bombs and basically same type of dessert. Amazing service! Parking lot out front. A couple benches for seating. Love a good paiai and haupia ice cream combo, especially after a beach day. So many different options for toppings too!

Perfect sweet treat to beat the Waianae heat (didn't mean for that to rhyme so well lol) Ordered the Ube Paiai -- the Ube ice cream complemented the mochi-like texture of the paiai, tied together perfectly with the toppings. The gal that ran the front window was friendly and fast and got our order out quickly. Definitely a must-stop if you're out in the west side and craving something sweet.

Da Kalo Korner is now in the same spot where Kalo Bombs used to be. You order at the window, and there are benches on the side of the building where you can sit and enjoy your treat. The staff is super friendly and our order came out quickly. We tried the Cookie Butter Pa'i'ai, and it was amazing. If you're getting one of their special flavors, the portion is definitely big enough to share between two people. The pa'i'ai itself is fluffy and paired nicely with the ice cream. The cookie butter cookie bits added a really nice crunch and extra flavor that tied everything together. If you're looking for a cool treat or pa'i'ai fix, Da Kalo Korner is a must-try!

Talk about broke da mouth.. I'm dreaming about this place as I type. If you're ever headed out west this place is a must to try. A great sweet treat for after the beach. Like the name it's located in the corner where lanterns is. They have parking in the front lot and back. There was only one aunty working and she was the sweetest taking our orders and checking up on how it was. There was a little line but everything came out quick. Ordered the banana cream paiai and oreo paiai. This was sooooo yummmy. Everything was great, wished it had a little more paiai but I'm not complaining. One of my fave sweet treats.

In Maili in the old Kalo Bombs. No affiliation. Essentially same idea. Overall it was ok. Staff is great. Paʻiʻai had a different texture... almost more gelatinous. Taste was still fresh which is good. Might come back if open when heading to Makaha bc we not making a left turn in and out lol

My first time trying under a new name &/or new owner..... I was very disappointed by the tiny scoop of pa'i'ai on top of haupia ice cream for $15. As I dug in I became more disappointed by the "freshness" of the pa'i'ai. It had hard chucks in it & the taste didn't taste fresh like they advertised. Tastes as if it's frozen. Miss when it was Kalo Bombs. Definitely fresh & worth the amount they used to give.

For anyone that needs the most up to date menu.

This spot is just soo good. The bowls are reasonably priced for the amount you get. The scoops of ice cream is huge and one heaping scoop of the pa'i ai. Definitely going back again.

Absolutely. That is all I have to say for the amount of joy I felt as I tasted my ummy oh so yummy Pa'i'ai. We tried the ube and banana cream. GET THEM. Worth however far the drive is. I am telling you!

Loved the service! Got there as soon as sis turned on the open sign. She said they opened up about 3 weeks ago. Took over the KaloBombz location. I got the Ube in a regular & can feed about 2 people, but feeds 1 of me just fine. Vibes were good with people heading or coming from the beach. Must try if you ever on the west side!!!! They get stuff like banana cream, cookies & cream paiei that I'm gonna try next time.

Hit the Spot! Once I found out about this place, I wanted to try it out and oh man it was so ONO and I had to come back again for this. Paiai is so fresh and yummy every time and my favorite is the Ube Paiai Will come back again and again this place is worth the drive!!! And the owner is so nice and kind

Super unassuming spot on the Westside. I originally heard of Pokai Bay through a Youtuber, Sean…read moreKaleponi, and wow did he deliver on this rec. This is one of the spots where you won't find a single tourist, because not many venture out to this area. Definitely a local casual spot, but they serve up some delicious food. There was one guy, Angel, working the front and there are plenty of tables inside. We ordered the fried noodles and hurricane chicken for about $20 and shared among 3 of us. I am still dreaming about this dish. The saimin noodles were soo flavorful and had the perfect chew. The hurricane chicken was fried to perfection, juicy, and packed with flavor. SO GOOD. Even if you aren't in the area, I'd put this spot on the list of foods to try on O'ahu.

Inside, there is a farmhouse vibe and about eight comfy booths. A case of baked goods draws your attention at the front counter. We were greeted and told to sit anywhere. The table service is friendly and attentive. Our server told us about the popular garlic chicken or fish fishes. The menu offers breakfast and lunch options. The portion of Garlic Chicken was huge (shareable). The coating was crispy but the sauce was overly sweet for me. Mac salad was good. I substituted the rice for green salad, which was fresh and delicious. My daughter had the Two Egg Breakfast came with four large pieces of bacon. She substituted rice for green salad. The eggs were perfectly cooked. Her breakfast was perfect. They do not have a kid's menu, so we shared our meals with my granddaughter, which was fine as we had a lot of food. Our server brought an extra plate for her. They serve ice cream and have a selection of beautiful desserts but we were full so will return to try out. There is a small private parking lot. The restaurant is walkable from the park/beach.
