Da Vang is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in three states! I cannot remember my faves in CA or NV right now, but when I remember them I will rate them too. Anyway, if you are a Pho fan, their Pho (pronounced fuh) is the best with all of the goodies including peppers, lime, basil and sprouts that are really fresh! Woohoo is right! This place is awesome. If you are interested in great Vietnamese food try it out. I will not lie, you will not be wowed by the level of service or the ambiance. The food speaks for itself. My wife and I have left each time with the cheapest lunch/dinner we have ever had and still were completely satisfied. Everything on the menu is worth trying and comes to you fast and fresh. The only draw back is no beer but hey plenty of that elsewhere. Disappointing, disappointing, disappointing!! For the first time, I didn't finish a Vietnamese sub. They call that banh mi? If their pho is as off-base as their banh mi, it must be made with linguini. Though the price was right ($4 for a sub and a big steamed bun), everything else was wrong. The bread seemed like it was cut from a cheap grocery store French bread, the veggies weren't properly pickled, and it was just.....boring. The pork was tasty, but I asked for BBQ pork and I'm pretty sure that was lemongrass grilled pork. Finally, the steamed ground pork bun was a little off. Not sure how else to describe it. This can't be Phoenix's best Vietnamese, so keep looking for it, hungry jack. read more

My husband and I along with family and friends came here today for lunch and the food is great, but service wasn't so much. I ordered the large rice noodle with beef stew, my husband had the big bowl of pho and we split an order of spring rolls. His food came out within 10 minutes and mine took about another 15 minutes. I didn't mind because I was enjoying the time with family and friends. After our meal was out I placed an order of fried rice to go and thought it would be done and ready by the time we were all done and eating. That didn't happen. I waited 20 minutes AFTER we finished our meal and paid. Overall food was great, but service wasn't. Next time I'll order the to go food when I'm ordering my meal. read more

Tried DaVang for the Bahn Mi. Got the BBQ Pork & it was delicious. Prices very reasonable. Also gave the Pho a whirl-portions are a bit small, brisket was on the dry side but the broth was flavorful. Outside appearance is a bit unpretentious. Will Go back for the Bahn Mi & possibly try a broken rice dish. read more

This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. This is by far the most inexpensive yet most fantastic Vietnamese food. I like the Pho soup stock. It's the best. We ordered spring rolls, extra large Pho, crepe, fried noodles, fish rice soup, pork chop plate and one dessert. The entire bill was less than $35. My family has been going here for as long as I can remember. This is authentic Vietnamese food. The wonton soup is amazing. The combo rice dishes are amazing. The egg rolls are... amazing. Pho it great and every so often I'll call ahead and order their sour tamarind soup with catfish if I'm super home sick and they always get it perfect. Service is pretty good too, it's a definite hole in the wall but lovingly so. I love cashing out at the register and picking up some white meat filled bread balls bun bao for lunch the next day. I love love this place. My husband loves the sautéed fried noodles with seafood and we usually grab dessert to take home as well. This place fills this nostalgia in my heart and stomach. I encourage y'all try this place, if your hung over or it's cold out get the beef or chicken pho or wonton soup with noodles. I've been back for 3 times in the past month, with take out. I was slightly disappointed in their Pho this time. The noodle was mushy when I got it, twice. The soup was soggy as a result. But the rest of the foods items.. the steam rich dishes and dry rice noodles... were still good. So diners, it's not as good as I recall it it. So I will skip the Pho and stick to other dishes. Very good place for a comfort-sort of soup and sandwiches. The pho and the beef stew are big, inexpensive, and the meats are not skimped. Whether it's the #1 pho, #7 stew, or the one with the seafood I get warmed by the broth, satisfied by the different cuts of meat, and filled up with the noodles. The #50 deep fried egg rolls are good and the BBQ pork spring rolls are very tasty. Occasionally I get the coffee with cream - I think it's much better than any of the chain coffee places. The banh mi used to have amazing, flaky French bread and now it's just okay. But the BBQ pork #75 with fish sauce, hoisin sauce, and Sriracha is still yummy to the tummy. There is no decor. The service can be trying but it has gotten better in the last year or so. Twice in about 50 times have they forgotten my order. You just have to be aware and speak up when something isn't right. Alright, oh dang, Da Vang! By far the best and most affordable Pho joint in town. I would say its authentic, but I've never been to Vietnam. Great food -- even more amazing is the cost! Please understand though, its the real deal. The restaurant is in a dimly lit strip mall that's easy to miss. Look for the water dispensary in the parking lot. When you walk in you'll probably notice its older and surprise, surprise full of Vietnamese! Don't expect the ambience of the Rice Paper Eatery. At Da Vang you'll be greeted by Vietnamese, not hipsters. My recommendation: Beef Pho, fried rice, and spring rolls. read more

2nd time here First time was fine because it was busy and there were workers walking around However this time there are open tables and the service has gotten worse, as in when we walked in the host walked away bearly saying a word and practically threw the menues on the table and walked away. They took our order and were out of my gf's first choice. Then when the garneshes were brought they forgot the culantro (sp). Our water glasses were empty as i asked for the culantro (again sp), they brought a small plate of a few leves that was fine for me, and did not fill the water cups. Go to spot for Vietnamese food in Phoenix. Fresh spring rolls are always great quality. Pho is usually great. Only downside is sometimes the noodles seem like they've been sitting out for a long time as they don't separate very well in the broth. read more

The food here is pretty good but boy is the service terrible. Placed a phone order and was told that it would take 30 minutes. Great! I arrive at the restaurant 30 minutes later and was informed that my food wasn't ready. That happens. As I wait, people are walking in and getting seated. 5 minutes go by... 10 minutes go by... and the people who were seated after I walked in were getting served their food while I was still waiting for my pickup order! It took them an additional 30 minutes of me waiting at the restaurant to finally complete my order and hand it to me. Will not be coming back. read more

We order food many times from this restaurant and some items were missing or they didn't have it they did not tell us until we got home and found out, inside the kitchen is very dirty too. There was one time I sat there and ate I saw a small bug on my plate, they make mistake too many times. read more
