We've been a couple of times usually it's super busy but tonight was a dead zone downtown so we got our food pretty fast waited less than 30 mins! My husband is obsessed with their chicken wings but tonight he wasn't really pleased but the tacos were ok very interested twist on the asada tacos & the dab wings! The ambiance is cool very small place with big vibes.

We recently had the chance to enjoy DAB Tacos at a local farmers market during a special Yelp event, "Toys for Tacos," benefiting Toys for Tots -- and wow, what an experience! Not only did we get to support a meaningful cause, but we were treated to some of the best tacos in Fresno. The moment we walked up, the staff made us feel welcome right away. They had a clean booth with an easy to read menu. You can tell they put genuine care into what they serve. Every bite was bursting with flavor -- fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned meats, and tortillas that held everything together without getting soggy (a taco miracle!). They also have great salsas that bring the perfect amount of kick without overpowering the taco itself. Beyond the food, what makes DAB Tacos stand out is how they show up for the community. Supporting Toys for Tots while serving delicious food? It doesn't get better than that. If you spot DAB Tacos at a farmers market or event, run -- don't walk! These tacos are absolutely worth hunting down.

This was my 2nd time here. The staff who helped us was friendly and helpful. They have a rewards program too, which is nice for customers. Makes us feel appreciated! I wasn't sure what to order and they told me their smash burger is popular. I ordered the burger and it comes with fries, slice of pickle, and a yellow pepper. The smash burger was good. The bun was a brioche bun, which makes it the burger better. Their chipotle sauce was good too. I used it for my fries. They have a good selection on their menu and offer alcoholic beverages too. They're thinking of opening up earlier to do breakfast strictly, which I think would be a good idea as there isn't much breakfast burrito spots in downtown. They have good music playing. They were showing the Mexico game at the time I was there.

These are the BEST carne asada tacos I've ever had! The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, the tortillas were fresh, and the toppings added a perfect, vibrant crunch. Absolute perfection on a plate. Met the owner he was very welcoming. Fast service too! Thank you #toysfortacos I would have never known about this family owned business. I love supporting local places like this. Great experience! For a wonderful cause...

I did like the vibe in here and the customer service, it was all very inviting. The food however was an air ball. I ordered the three taco meal with shrimp, carne asada, and adobada. All three proteins were severely overcooked with the one sort of "OK" bite being the carne asada. There were only three shrimp in my taco and very hard to bite into. Now pair that with a stale corn tortilla and it's a super dry bite. Thankfully their spicy crema sauce was very good and saved all three of these tacos, but sauce alone does not make for a good taco. By just looking at them, I couldn't tell the difference between the carne asada and the adobada, which is not good. The carne asada had decent flavor, but had also been hammered on that grill. The adobada had no color and was dry as a bone. This type of pork is usually juicy, tender, and sauced up. I could tell this had been sitting around for most of the day. I had decent hopes for this place since it keeps popping up on my Yelp and Instagram feeds. Hopefully they'll get back to on their game in time for summer.

Dab tacos is not to be missed if your in the downtown Fresno Area. Really good Mexican food being served here. Nice resteraunt with seating indoor and outdoor. Food here was really good and I was impressed! I ordered an Al plastor taco and a hot dog and they both were really good and full of flavor! I would have to rate my food a 8.5 out of 10. My wife had the chicken torta and she loved it! She would rate it a 9.5 out of 10. My wife would like to note that this torta had crispy cheese and fresh soft bread. I was staying at the double tree hotel down the street and saw that dab tacos was opened at 7:30pm on a Thursday night. A lot of sport close early down here so I was relieved to have found this place. Located in downtown Fresno, the area can be a bit sketchy at times but where they are located it's a cute and light up on this street.

Dab Tacos are hip, creative, and have plenty of swag. The tacos are pretty yummy as well. They are huge, different, and most importantly, delicious. Protein choices are Asada (beef steak), Pastor (marinated pork), Chicken, Pork Belly, Shrimp, and Lobster ($3.50 upcharge). My favorites are the crispy, plump shrimp, lobster, and the juicy, well-seasoned chicken. I enjoyed the queso tacos, which are made with toasted corn tortillas, lined with grilled cheese, packed with your protein choice, cucumber-cabbage salad mix, and queso fresco. The unique recipes and business concepts are the work of its owner Nik. His lovely sister Loren manages the downtown restaurant where she serves and bartends. On occasion, she will help out at the food truck as well. Aaron runs the food truck, usually parked at the NE corner of Shaw Avenue and First Avenue at the gas station, from 2 PM to 10 PM Tuesdays to Saturdays. The restaurant is located in downtown Fresno next to the Tioga-Sequoia Beer Garden. It is a great spot for tacos, beers, and a cocktail to wind down the evening. The restaurant has one of the best Taco Tuesday deals: unlimited mini tacos for $1 each. They do a great job in marketing, particularly if you follow them on social media. So follow them on Instagram to learn about their current deals, special promotions, and summer events.

Excellent service, good vibes, and great food! It was my first time trying Dab tacos, and for whatever reason I got burger instead of tacos lol. The smash burger I wouldn't call a smash burger the patties are pretty thick butttt they have a lot of flavor! The meat is great quality I added a fried egg on mine which didn't disappoint and the bun is nicely toasted. The fries are an average shoestring but still paired well with the burger. I'm excited to go back and try out the tacos and loaded fries! The miche looks delicious too so that's on the top of my list.

To start off, the location is excellent! Tucked in between a couple cocktail bars and beer spots, Dab Tacos is a convenient go-to for anyone after a night out. Interior is usually crowded but there's seating against the wall. You can also eat outside (sign says 21+ only for the little table/patio thing). They were almost out of everything when we got there (around 9:30pm on a Thursday) so we settled for some quesadillas. They also did not have red sauce!!! Asada Quesadilla (2/5): I don't really know how to describe it, but the asada wasn't my favorite. Chicken Quesadilla (4/5): Pretty solid! Portion size is two large pieces, which left me satisfied. Despite there only being two cooks, the food came out relatively quickly! Overall, great spot for a quick bite; I might be back to try something else.

Not a bad 3 star. Nice location, clean restaurant, and friendly staff. The tacos were just okay, not great but not bad either. Or at least not my preference. I prefer yellow tortilla, they use white, I prefer a little grease, these were more on the drier side. The salsas are good, pretty spicy. I wouldn't mind coming back to try other items but might pass on the tacos. read more

We where so Excited about supporting a local taco truck but this was a disappointment . Tried a few Tacos. Asada, Pastor and Shrimp. A total of 6 tacos that included 2 shrimp tacos. Paid $21.00 total. YIkES but thought wow they must be some delicious food to be charging this much?! The tacos where prepared with the cabbage cucumber topping. My husband couldn't finish his asada or pastor tacos. I could only eat my shrimp tacos and they where just ok. The Pastor is a no it didn't taste like pastor or pork. The asada has no taste. I don't know what tortilla you all used but try another brand. A pass, I don't recommend. read more

We hired Dab Tacos to cater our wedding and they did an amazing job! Everyone kept talking about how the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding. Dab went above and beyond to accommodate our special requests (such as: feeding vendors first, extra quesadillas for kids, etc) and were so easy to work with from the moment we booked them until the wedding day. This is my second time coming to dab tacos and my first time trying their new location. I was super excited to see that they came into the downtown district. I ordered the 3 taco plate for lunch today and from my experience the tacos were okay. The tortillas were dry, their chicken was a little on the over cooked side, the asada was okay but the al pastor had good flavor. I really love their presentation with the cabbage, pineapple, pepper, and queso fresco on top but the flavor is just not all there. Overall it was a decent meal but I don't think I'll be getting the tacos again. The first time I went I had the quesatacos and those were a lot better. I haven't tried their fries yet but I think that's where I may have messed up because I hear it's the best thing they have. My experience at the location was nice. The cashier was friendly and welcoming and the place looked awesome with the art and cleanliness. I'll most likely review again once I try the fries but definitely try it out. I'd just stick to their quesatacos or fries! read more

Food truck review. Went to crow and wolf on Saturday and Dabs food truck was there. Had heard great things about their food. We ordered one of each taco and the El pastor fries. Staff were super nice and friendly. We got asada fries. No biggie, it looked good and we got an El pastor taco. The fries were OK. Asada was well seasoned. The fried cheese was a food touch but it coagulates fast and then its all just one big ball. It could probably use some sour cream or guacamole to soften it up a bit. The tacos were good. Tortillas were a little hard and dry. The asada was just as good on the taco. The shrimp was plain. The salsa made it good. The El pastor was really good. When we go back I'll stick to the El pastor. It was delish. The chicken was good too. Well seasoned and moist. We will definitely try them again and get something different from the menu and update the review if applicable. read more

I understand mistakes happen. However, twice in a row is really unnecessary. Not only that but I live across town so imagine I had to go back and get another wrong order. That's not the worst part. Apparently the employee didn't see us so our tacos were sitting there getting cold. He finally saw us and laughed because he thought we left and came back. Went there on a Saturday evening ordered some loaded fries...I asked for the best seasoned protein (because I don't eat shrimp or lobster) the cashier recommended pastor just to say the least it looked like everything was just thrown together and the pastor was burnt and dry fries weren't seasoned and very soggy maybe it was because they had lots of orders but definitely won't be going there again. read more

I had heard amazing things about this place and found myself in the area on a Friday night, stopped in to Eat in, ordered a asada burrito, took quite a while to get it even though they were pretty dead. The burrito itself was between OK and Good, just lots of rice and fillers, not much meat, but nothing to write home about, the Elote was good. But overall I feel this place is a bit overhyped. read more

Probably never going back now. Food was really bad. Ordered loaded lobster fries and chipotle wings and fries. The fries were incredibly undercooked. Soggy and flavorless. Hardly any lobster. It was very over sauced. The chipotle wings were more like charcoal wings. Burnt to a hard crisp. Any cook would find serving our food criminal. This place is basically stealing money now. Paid forty bucks for horrible food. They want $12 for a 24 ounce beer can. Same beer is $9 at the ball park. The guy who was the cashier and bartender made drinks with dirty hands after touching money. He had to unwrap jolly ranchers for a drink and he touched all over them. Then he put his hands all over the straw mouthpiece. After making the drink he just sat and ate fries that looked better than mine at the register. Place seems super unprofessional. And I'm glad I didn't have my daughters with me. The music playing belonged in an adult club. This place is just trash now all around unfortunately read more

Was walking to get drinks and found this little spot! It's room with painted murals on each side. I got the DabPlate, which is 4 tacos and a choice of protein. I went with asada because #asada is where it's at. The plate came with 2 verde and 1 red salsa. I would say they're 7/10. It's not as authentic as I was hoping but definitely filling! read more

OK, so I was really excited to try the fries, turns out the price is way overpriced for amount of fries in the plate. The shrimp flavor was really good and good size shrimp but you only get five. The fries have no salt whatsoever. The sauce they use over the fries which is called a chipotle sauce has a very good flavor but they are very stingy with it as well. All in all I feel they have potential in making these fries be really bomb because the flavor is there they just need to not be so stingy for the price. Oh, and hardly any cheese. read more

Stopped by to see what all the fuss was about. The new spot on Fulton street is nicely decorated and has bar seating/stools. Gentlemen working the register was very courteous and friendly. Ordered the loaded shrimp fries which are $14. They certainly do not skimp on the shrimp everything was so good. Would definitely recommend. read more

Ordered 6 tacos and 4 Asada tacos was over cooked and 2 shrimp taco has zero seasoning. I think I do better job at making tacos than this taco place. I only ate because it was convenient. Definitely will be going to in n out before ordering here. read more

First time and last time eating at this place. The food was cold, the torta was salty the meat for the tacos is low quality,the salsa is definitely from the can. Tacos are an elevated version of a taco-truck taco. The presentation and quality are top-notch. My favorite are the chicken tacos which are mildly seasoned and delicious. I also appreciate the fresh cucumber crunch as a toping - a pleasant surprise when you take a bite. The reason I gave this an "OK" is the price point, which I feel is a bit high. If you are going to elevate the traditional street taco you need to take it all the way. Meaning, the taco ingredients are already high quality but the tortilla is a cheap processed tortilla. To justify the price and complete the elevated product you must use a homemade tortilla or as close as possible, like the inhouse made tortillas from Vallarta Supermarket. Otherwise, the cheap tortilla aftertaste cheapens your product. read more

I tried them once in Fresno after giving birth and they were bland ! I wanted to give them another try before I left a review tho . Today I had them at a food truck frenzy and I had 3 chicken tacos . Not a big deal. The meat was fine but the tortillas were inedible. They were tough, flavorless, and greasy. The bean and rice were ok. We ate enough to curb our hunger but none of us finish our food. I've been coming to dab tacos for the past year and I must say that it is an experience that is worth trying; my only problem is that it seems like the customer service and quality is slowly declining as they're getting more popular..let's talk about the pros and cons..pros: they are the only place with lobster and shrimp fries which I recommend. They also have a couple great cashiers that I talk to that show hospitality. Their menu updates sometimes which is cool like this month is October Fest so they have pork belly sandwiches and I believe German hotdogs which is for this month only. They also have fried corn which is pretty cool and has a beautiful presentation. Also there's been times they have given away free drink refreshers and a dab token to redeem a free taco which was a cool way to make customers feel special and I even seen them feed a homeless man that was waiting outside the truck which is a plus plus. Last but not least one of my favorite things about this place is the presentation. Sometimes when they give me the dab fries or my food they will show it to me before I get it to go (which I usually do) and the presentation is beautiful definitely worth the experience seeing the pineapple presented in there and the sauce drizzled on top get you giddy and made me feel like i'm getting my moneys worth and I hope that quality stays with them because that's one thing that keeps me coming back. Cons: Now there isn't a lot of cons but I do have some. Like I said earlier this is one the of only places I know in fresno that carry shrimp and lobster fries (which are my favorite here) and unfortunately some of the times they were sold out of either shrimp or lobster when I would come to the truck..bare in mind they did open a restaurant and says they will have it daily which is a plus but when there's no number to call or it's a busy signal (when they did have a number) I had to rely on their Ig to contact them which is very reliable when you can't get ahold of them, but there's been times where they said they were open and I drove across town to find out there not(when they were up the 99) and they promised to compensate me but never did which is understandable things happen. Secondly I use to order the quesa tacos I believe it's called with the cheese melted on it which use to be really good but a few times I got it and the cheese was over cooked on the taco making it hard to eat so I stopped getting them after a few times of it happening which is a bummer..I recently just went to their soft opening downtown which I was excited to see especially since it's closer by where I live and I ordered 1 shrimp & lobster fries, 1 fried corn and I even walked over to the truck to try the pork belly sandwich as well (which wasn't for me because of how much fat was on the sandwich and a lot of purple cabbage) When I ordered the shrimp and lobster fries I made sure to tell the cashier that I wanted extra lobster and regular amount of shrimp and I noticed that it said extra shrimp when he rang me up and I asked him why and he said that there wasn't a a button for extra lobster, so he just put extra shrimp on there and he'll let them know. Well unfortunately they gave me all shrimp and no lobster well may be a few pieces I found in there. Its disappointing when you come in often like me and you even double check if they put your order in right all to walk half a mile because there's no parking anywhere around the place on the weekend because of the events all to see they messed up on your order and there's no number to call :/ unfortunately this has happened a few times to me coming there when I'm spending around 30-40$ each time for loaded fries and two tacos and always tip around 3-5$ every time to show my appreciation for this business that I want to see thrive..I believe this place has great potential but it might be awhile until I come back though which is sad for me because I like this place but I've have a few situations with my order being messed up that I don't want to just complain to them about it because I have once and after multiple times I feel like I'm nagging and maybe just need to go somewhere else for a bit..hopefully things pick up when they have their hard opening but man the last time I was genuinely disappointed with my order that I ended up tossing away 45$ in food and had to go to Taco Bell because I was still hungry :/ read more

I had been following dab tacos fanatically for a few months before I ever got to taste their food. The food is not bad but only find the price is only fitting during their deal days. My partner and I ate there and spent almost $40 for food that didn't fully satisfy our hunger. We got a shrimp fry and two tacos. Growing pains could be a thing with the new physical location and I will 100% try them again. But I have fear that having more overhead from a physical location will either lower the quality or raise the prices more. Tacos are okay. They don't give you enough limes (they legit gave me 1/4 of a lime) and feel like they need seasoning. However, I'm giving them 4 stars because the fries are actually worth it. They stack them up with enough meat, fries, and they're full of flavor. Workers could be nicer. We went around 5-6 pm and we got monotonous voices and sour faces but I've been a worker before and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they were just tired. Felt kind of dry at times.
