I really enjoyed this boba! I got the Mango Yogurt with Mango bits and Sago and it was so good! Very refreshing for the hot days! The inside of this cafe is cute and the service was great!
New Cafe so I stopped in to check out their menu. Nice shop and friendly staff with quick service , Their menu has a variety of teas you can customize sweetness on some which is great! They also have Bahnmi on their menu and tables, chairs inside for enjoy your drink or snack. couldn't decide what to get coffee or tea drink and picked Coco Mango Sago drink with 25% sweetness is now a favorite! will return to try other drinks and add toppings too.
Super cute new boba place and love their bear cups! I was very happy with my Taro Creme Frappe and would definitely get again! Highly recommend to anyone in the area as this is now one of my fave boba spots!
DaCafe is latest to open in the Midway district in the lot with plenty of free parking spaces. As my pup and I approached the shop, we noticed some of the menus posted on the sidewalk, on the door as we entered and more on the countertop. We were greeted by the friendly staff, who were helpful and super nice to me and my pup Fendi, whom was even offered a water bowl, but Fendi politely declined. There's only indoor seating and the space inside was clean with simple modern decor with use of real and faux plants, succulents and a few cute figurines for around to make you smile. Would be nice if there was outdoor seating. An area for straws, napkins and such would be better as to keep asking the staff for these is better. I ordered the avocado smoothie with coconut milk. It was a healthy choice and tasted really good but was on the thick side, as it was difficult to sip through the chubby straw. After a couple of sips I felt kind of full, probably the satiating effect of the avocado, which is a good thing. So glad this cafe opened, as this area desperately needs more modern, healthy but yummy food and drink options. Would be returning to try other creative drinks and DaCafe gets my recommendation.
I was very excited to check this place out since not having to go to Convoy to get boba is always a plus. It is my goal to try any boba place I come across so I'll just add it to the list. The location generally has a lot of parking, but it does depend at times when you're there. If you circle around and wait a few minutes, you will land a spot. The penguin logo was pretty cute and it was nicely decorated inside. It was bright and spacious, I did like that there were a good amount of tables. There were 2 people working at the time, they did not seem overly friendly but they seemed busy taking and making orders. I ordered 3 drinks: 1. Roasted Brown Sugar Boba Milk tea (not real Milk) You have the option to get real milk, (sub Milk for oat, etc) and Roasted. I chose the roasted version, I also added sea salt cream top. This drink was delicious, I could tell they put brown sugar on the top of the foam and flame torched it, it had that delicious nutty flavor or how marshmallows get when toasting them over an open flame. The boba were soft and chewy, done right. I got mine 75% sweet, I could have dropped it down a little lower. The delicious boba sat at the bottom in the sweet delicious syrup. 5/5 2. Passion Fruit Green Tea with Coco Jelly and Grass Jelly- My sis said this was a pretty standard passion fruit green tea. I did ask and this shop makes their own grass jelly. My sis said it was pretty good and they would get it again. 4/5 3. Mango Green Tea with Boba and Coco Jelly- My niece got this drink, she added mango cream on top and sub Sago for boba. My niece did NOT like their drink. It was 50% sweet, (not sweet at all, the Coco Jelly were ok) They noted they would not get this drink again. 2/5 We did see online but I'm not sure I saw it showing in store, that the matcha drinks use ceremonial green tea. We will definitely be giving these a test. I hope this spot does very well since there aren't many Boba shops in this area. Service:4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Food:3/5
The drink was pretty good. I didn't get any food. The service was so good and the drink was really tasty. The ambience was pretty cool inside. It was really cool atmosphere.
The newest and cutest cafe just opened up here in Point Loma. DaBoba shifted gears and started a cafe with a focus on specialty Vietnamese coffee, as well as matcha lattes, frappes. They do still have boba milk teas plus some of their offerings from DaBoba. As a matcha lover, I had to try their Roasted Banana Matcha Latte. A thick slice of banana bruleed with sugar made up the cream top, and the matcha latte itself was a vibrant green color. I loved the taste, but the sweetness overpowered the latte! I would adjust this to half or even none for the sugar level next time if they asked. The cafe is so spacious, and I would come back to order more coffees and matcha!
The owner of Dacafé Boba & Eats has opened this new business in the Loma Square shopping plaza after spending time with the chain franchise, Daboba, in Kearny Mesa. The shop is still in a soft opening phase and currently only serves drinks with food offerings not yet available until the full grand opening in another few more weeks. The suite was quite large for a boba tea shop with a dozen tables for seating and a secondary service counter in the back of the room. Because of the owner's past work history, there were common shared drinks as well as some use of materials from Daboba like the plastic seal affixed to the top of the cups. Even the business name was a derivative of the bigger brand. There was a self-service tablet for ordering near the entrance, but I don't believe it was operational at the time of my visit. Two menu screens hung above the service counter. There were multiple choices in each of twelve different categories, including Vietnamese Coffee. The items were sold in medium and large sizes at very reasonable prices. For example, I selected a large Mango Green Tea for one of my beverages. It came with boba pearls and coco jelly as toppings at a total cost of $6.50. My other drink was a large Brown Sugar Fresh Milk Tea with boba pearls included for the same $6.50 price. The tea flavor wasn't as strong as some of the competitors in the Convoy District. For now, I gave a 4.5 star rating for Dacafé Boba & Eats until I return and sample a few of the food choices.
Came with a friend for the first time yesterday and I will definitely be back!! They have a lot of drink options. I got a black tea with cheese foam and boba and my friend got a strawberry matcha. We both enjoyed our drinks. The girl working was so sweet and nice and helped us decide on which drinks to get. I want to try their banana matcha next time and the mango sago drink! The place itself was really clean and spacious. I would highly recommend coming and I can't wait to go back
A new boba spot in Point Loma! With Vietnamese coffee too! Really excited to hear that this shop opened up as I don't have to venture far to satisfy my specialty Vietnamese coffee cravings. It's located in between T.J. Maxx and Sally Beauty in Loma Square in Point Loma. There is a huge open parking lot for customers. I visited during their soft opening weekend with a BOGO deal. My boyfriend and I came both days to try their drinks, and we will definitely be back! We ordered their medium Roasted Banana Matcha Latte and large Classic Thai Milk Tea with 50% sweetness. The Thai tea came with boba, and I was pleasantly surprised that some drinks include toppings at no extra cost. The roasted banana matcha was quite amazing. LOVED that the banana foam was roasted as it gave a nice aromatic to the foam and matcha. The Thai tea flavor was delicious! Both drinks were quite strong which was amazing. Both drinks were strong and not watered down or overly creamy. During our second visit, we ordered their Vietnamese coffee series. We ordered their Matcha Cream Coffee and Ube Cream Coffee. There was no sweetness adjustment but thankfully, they weren't too sweet even with letting the ice melt. The coffee was strong, just how I liked it, and the cold foams added a nice, enjoyable creaminess. Overall, it's great seeing a new boba spot with great, strong flavors in Point Loma. I will be back to try their other drinks such as their blended and tea ones.
DaCafe is my go to boba shop in the area! I typically would drive up to Convoy (aka Kearny Mesa) for boba but DaCafe always hits the spot and the boba pearls are the perfect texture. They offer a variety of drinks and you're able to modify the levels of sweetness & toppings. I've come here at least once a week since they've opened. My go to drink is the Thai Jasmine Green Milk Tea and it comes with boba and cheese foam. Their matcha & Vietnamese coffee drinks are delicious as well! Recently, they've started to sell Banh Mi's & I LOVE them. The pate, pickled veggies, and meat are made in house. The baguette is served toasted. I crave the BBQ Pork Bahn mi often and always goes well with my drink. I previously fell in love with their Banh Mi's at DaBoba in Convoy, as the stores are owned by the same owners. I'm absolutely thrilled they brought the Banh Mi's to this location! Perfect for lunch and/or snack in between shopping! Keep in mind, they do take ~10 min to make since it's made fresh. Worth it tho! Lastly, I come here to work from home & the ambiance is perfect to focus. They also provide free WiFi! They don't have outlets but still a great spot to go if you're wanting to have a focus session. Overall, the service is always great, very clean inside, bathrooms are tidy, and staff are friendly and supportive in helping you decide what to get. You must give them a try!
Modern and open cafe serving Boba in Point Loma! I'm not much of a Boba person but my fiancée is and I took her here and she loved it. The customizability of the menu is pretty exceptional and the staff were friendly.
Really love this spot!!! Staff here is always welcoming and willing to make moderations or ask any questions that you have. I really love the strawberry matcha at 50% sweetness (a super neat thing they do is allow you to adjust the sweetness and ice level of your drink but certain drinks you can't adjust the ice level like the matchas). I personally am not the biggest fan of the foam that comes on top, but they are happy to accommodate and not put that on top! They have cheese foam on certain drinks which is kind of like cream cheese but stronger of a flavor I think. I thought that the strawberry foam tasted like it was cheese foam but was told it's not. Happy I am able to get it without and they were nice enough to put extra strawberry in the bottom for me :) It is super clean and bright inside. Not a lot of decor with a lot of seating. White walls and feels open/spacious. They also have a rewards program where you can earn free drinks! I absolutely love the penguins on the cups and have always had a good experience both times coming here. One time, it was very empty and the other time it was much busier but we received our drinks quickly both times. I also love how there's so many toppings and ways you can customize your drink! Also just SO many drink options in general! My husband likes the Thai tea with boba :) I definitely see us coming back.
I was running errands in the plaza and was a really early for my event, I I spotted Dacafe and thought that I deserved a little treat with this heat. The cafe is so cute and really open and welcoming, the barista was super friendly. I ended up getting an iced lychee green tea with coco jelly and I had them reduce the sweetness. My drink came out so fast and it definitely hit the spot, so refreshing and definitely needed with heatwave. I want to try their sandwiches next time because they're really tasty. But if you're in this plaza check them out, the service is friendly and super fast and efficient. read more

Their mango Coco sago is really well balanced, I had ordered the drink and forgot to request half sweet, but the drink itself had a default that was just right. I had also ordered the Thai tea, it was not the best I've had, I believe they over brewed the leaves as it was sort of a funky after taste. Will come again if I'm in the area, just wish they had some restaurants nearby. It was mainly department stores with this random boba shop, it needs a bit more balance. read more
I was running errand all afternoon and needed a little pick-me-up. I was shopping in a busy strip mall and saw DACAFE, so I decided to give it a try. When I walked in, I noted a modern, clean, and cute design. The small penguin is the mascot and is everywhere. Though it was pretty busy inside, I didn't have to wait to order. The ladies working the front were very nice. I explained that I wanted something that wasn't too sweet. One of the staff members let me know that she also prefers drinks with less sweetness, so she recommended the traditional black milk tea. I was given a choice of the sweetness level and ice. I chose 50% for each. I did not add boba or anything else, again to keep the sweetness level down. I then sat down for about two minutes, and my drink was ready. I enjoyed it en route to my next errand. It wasn't too sweet and had the perfect amount of ice. I do think it was a bit on the creamy side, and perhaps would ask for a different type of milk next time. All in all, DACAFE was a great little spot to stop while shopping and I would definitely return. read more

Really happy to have found this new cafe! DaCafe is definitely worth checking out if you're into matcha, coffee, or boba. Roasted Banana Matcha Latte really unique and surprisingly good. The Coffee Latte with Coffee Foam is also highly recommended if you're a coffee person. The boba texture was spot on and you can tell they put some thought into getting it right. You can also enjoy really nice Banh Mi if you're hungry. The cafe has relaxed vibe where you can easily see yourself staying for a while. Definitely a nice spot to chill and enjoy your drink. read more
I came here on a whim and I'm so glad I did! My drink was the coco frappe and I was so surprised to find coconut bits and coffee jelly in there. It was such a fun and delicious drink. I also ordered an ube coffee and true to its Vietnamese roots, this coffee was strong! I really loved my drink and it was so refreshing. Definitely need to come back and support. The interior was really clean, open, and bright. Plenty of parking due to location in a large shopping plaza. read more

Happy to see another boba shop opening up in this area! We came during the soft opening so we got 10% off which was awesome. Ordered the mango matcha & matcha cream tops - both of which the employees said were the most popular (matcha in general is the most ordered). Service was awesome and the cafe was really clean. The matchas fell a bit short for us - they were very sweet and both overpowered with the flavorings and not at all matcha forward. The mango bits and foam tasted good but more like a mango milk tea. I'd try the other drinks next time but 5 stars for everything else! read more

Da cafe is so so SO delicious! The mango crème slush is so refreshing and it's a big drink! I think it's a good price for a drink its size too! I like to switch out the grapefruit boba for the regular boba! The bahn mis are also so delicious. Made in house super fresh pretty cheap too! The perfect snack that feels healthy and light, the chicken in the chicken option is seasoned so well and the veggies taste super fresh and crunchy. I mentioned to the kind lady at the register that they had so many topping options and she told me most of them are made and prepared in house! I think this place deserves more attention, great atmosphere, kind staff, good vibes and fast service! 10/10 (and they have a clean bathroom for customers that's a plus!) read more

Drinks are good but 30 minutes of wait time for 2 drinks is ridiculous. There wasn't a line to order but just 1 person making drinks. Actually the person before us was smart enough to cancel her order bc of the long wait. We should have taken heed but we are addicted to boba drinks :p Will we come again? I really enjoyed this spot for this mango matcha i ordered. They had an option for zero sugar and it satisfied me right away. Not many matcha spots offer that and just have their matcha drinks modified as is. I appreciated the love & generosity they put into my drink how fast the service was. The workers were responsive and gave me their honest opinion about choosing what to get, it helped out so much! The place itself looked chill & super cute to just hang out. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I was very disappointed with my experience. Maybe I just got unlucky. They recently opened, and unfortunately the staff seemed very slow and kept mixing things up. I ordered a matcha and a mango sago. The mango sago was great - 9/10, no complaints there. However, the matcha was honestly terrible. I specifically clarified several times that I wanted it with regular milk, not oat milk, because I have an allergy. Despite that, it was still made with oat milk. On top of that, there was barely any matcha flavor, even though I paid extra for the matcha cream topping. The biggest issue, however, was the straws. They looked as if they had been cut by hand - the edges were uneven, with loose pieces of plastic sticking out. This genuinely seems like a safety concern. I'll try to include photos to show what I mean. read more

Was in the area for a late lunch and decided to stop by here to try it out. Saw that it was a soft opening and was excited to see how it was. I ordered the strawberry yogurt and my girlfriend got the coco manga sago frappe. Both were pretty good, overall have no complaints. Drinks did take almost 10 minutes to come out when we were the only ones in the store, however I was in no rush. The store is clean and has nice table setups.
