My office orders from Dado's as Staff Meal before our large events & I'm happily surprised about the pizza. From someone who doesn't see pizza as official food, more like a quick lunch snack (Is a pizza & wine date supposed to be special??) But am picky about any quality & flop that I have to pay for - Dado's seems like 1/2 your neighbor slice shop and 1/2 gourmet brick oven pizza combined. Have had regular cheese, pepperoni (2nd favorite, high quality little pepperonis), vegetable (mushroom, onion, & broccoli rabe) and sausage & broccoli rabe (favorite so far). The slices with vegetables on them have noticeable seasoning/crushed red pepper. There's extra flavor somewhere in there & for a slice without a lot of cheese & mostly veg - it's delicious! The regular cheese slice has good (medium-thick) tomato sauce, the cheese is decent (more like a standard quality). I think the pizza is brick oven? And pretty thin - I wouldn't recommended it for those who don't like this kind of style. I just slice freeze well and reheat low in a toaster oven, but the crust does get hard easily. read more

Vodka Pizza w/ Sausage - (C Tier) - I really wanted to like this but it just wasn't for me. The sausage was really salty and I know the tanginess and robust flavors from the sauce means it's legit but for me it just contrasted too much. Mixed with the dollops of cheese instead of an even coating also just made the texture and taste inconsistent (there was no cheese pull). Only had one night in NY left and couldn't leave without trying a NY style pizza. Went to Dado's and asked for a pickup order at 10:50 (I know I'm the worst, especially when the place was closing at 11). I'm glad they still made it and instead of having a cold pizza waiting for me they made it on the spot when I walked in (which I appreciate because it was fresh). Overall I'd still give Dado's another try if I'm ever around Harlem. Maybe next time I can ask for a recommendation for a 1st timer's NY pizza. read more

We ordered some slices and wings to go recently and had a great experience. We walked in and ordered and because of the wings, our wait was about 15 minutes which was fine. We sat in the dining area and waited. A lot of people were coming in and out to grab slices so this place definitely has a good fan base. The dining area has TVs and coolers with different types of beers/ciders. Our pizza was delicious. When I think of NYC pizza, this is what I think of! The wings were fine, I probably wouldn't order them again, but they had good flavor. We would come back here the next time we're in town. read more

This was our introduction to NY pizza. The wings were $2 each on their app that was not working so I looked on Door Dash and the chicken was $3 and that's where I drew the line $35 for 12 wings is absurd. The pizza bottom is thin ! Pick up the slice and it just bends over :(. The crust is crispy but the bottom half of pizza just flops. Sauce is extra tomato-y lacks season . Ask for extra seasonings garlic , cheese , red pepper , oregano and never comes. They are quick tho. read more

I was so excited to catch Dado's soft opening today- their official launch party is this Wednesday from 5-8pm, you should definitely stop by if you're in Harlem! I ordered two slices of pizza (one plain cheese and one pepperoni) and a root beer and had a nice chat with the owner David. The slices I had were delicious! Good crust, great sauce and perfect cheese. The pepperoni were slightly spicy without being too spicy (thats a huge plus for me) and I can't wait to come back on Wednesday to try their margherita pizza and caesar salad. In addition to the good pizza, Dado's is super cute and very clean! There are a few stools inside and a nice long bench out front. Nice seating area with a window to people watch and they get bonus points for the recycling can! David and his staff were very friendly and professional. They were all wearing masks and hand sanitizer was provided. The menu looks great, the slices I tried were delicious, they have plenty of cool drinks and good vibe atmosphere. Moved into the neighborhood before Dado's arrival and it was really a struggle not having a good slice shop nearby. Now that Dado's is here we really cannot get enough of their pizza!! All of the slices are delicious but I would recommend the pepperoni, vodka or margarita. Also, highly recommend putting some hot honey on your slice and gulping it all down with a can of Brooklyn's Best (have not found this drink in other shops!) I ordered on a blind choice and was so pleasantly surprised. The delivery was within the promised time (20 mins) and the pepperoni pie (my fave) turned out to be the best I ever had; I was very happily surprised. Have ordered a few more times, and I can say that Dado's is now my favorite pizza in the area. Quality has been consistently good, the food is delicious, and the guys working there are really nice. The pizza is fantastic and as I said in my initial review, they have a quality over quantity approach - a handful of toppings/styles but all are substantially better than anything else around. The Caesar salad is a really generous portion - my only nitpick is I wish they gave two cups of dressing (one is not enough for the whole large salad they serve).
