Omg yes!! I love them! They're great when I want pasta and I'm on the east side. The portions are AMAZING! You get a lot of food for the price point. Seriously a lot of food. A plate can be shared and everyone will be full. Or you can take it down yourself. They take cash; they take card, what's not to love. The price is reasonable for the amount of food like I mentioned before. The quality is also good. The noodles are made well, nice bite to the pasta; never mushy or under done l. I recommend the spaghetti if you have to feed two people or just want to be full FULL. (Just as choice of pasta). The chicken parmesan is amazing, so is the tortellini and shrimp alfredo and shrimp parm. Delivery is always great with them and they have nice timing. Ordering over the phone is a lot better for me and I never have a problem. The guys always have a good tone even when its busy. Go give them your money. You wont regret it. My standard for pizza is pretty high. The pizza wasn't bad just not a go to spot. I do like that they use a garlic knot to prevent the cheese from touching the top of the box. Ok i usually get the same thing when i order which is a large pepperoni with extra cheese. I always put in the notes i have a 2 year old and 6 year old, and to bring it upstairs. Well they give me an issue, why is there an issue when you charge a delivery fee plus they still want to be tipped. We have a large police presence as well as large NYPD lights (don't be scared) what took the cake for me is he had a bike lock and no other deliveries so your tip definitely gets adjusted. Overall the pizza is salty and its not the meat the whole pizza is salty which leaves me with a headache. Guess its time to get up and cook. read more

The other weekend a bunch of us descended upon The Duck to do some drinking! Of course the urge to feast came upon us after a few rounds of cheap booze. It's always a plus when a dive bar lets you bring in food from outside. This is where La Nostra comes in. As they are literally across the street from them, and the only pizza joint in the area, I ran over to grab a pie. The place is set up as a basic NYC pizza shop, except this one has a kind of gangsta vibe with pictures of famous tv and movie gangsters on the walls. Ordered up a large pie which they made fresh for me. Decent pizza pie here. Heavy on the oil and lots of cheese. I usually like a little more sauce on my pies but this one was ok. Maybe it helped that I had a lot of beer in me. $13 for a large pie, and $2.25 for a regular slice or Sicilian slice. The normal menu of pizza joint items. Not bad at all. What was bad were the bathrooms. They are pretty nasty, and the place itself had no AC on and it was humid as heck outside. It's never a good sign when the bathrooms look like you don't want to touch anything in them. Go for the pizza. Avoid the bathrooms. read more

We needed a quick meal before our flight at LGA and this was EXCELLENT. They have a variety of insanely large pizzas that are on display and ready for your choosing. We decided to get four slices- buffalo chicken, chicken and broccoli, spinach, and ham and pineapple. These slices were so large, each piece was equivalent to about two normal slices of pizza. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious: the perfect crunch with each bite and the toppings were loaded with flavor. There was a good bit of indoor seating and there is a drink cooler as well. The staff was friendly and soo quick. I guess I'm just not used to the hustle and bustle of the city but I did not get a second to think about what I wanted! Dude was asking me my order as soon as I walked in the door lol. Good thing everything we got was good anyways! For 4 slices and a soda, it ran us about $17, which is a pretty good deal considering that we each couldn't finish two slices. They do deliver and it was obviously a neighborhood hot spot. My hubby and I dropped in to La Nostra because I hadn't eaten all day and was starving. I'm not a huge fan of pizza but I decided to try it out for a regular slice. The staff is extremely friendly and patient, considering the fact that I was hemming and hawing as to which kind of slice I wanted. I finally chose a nice Tomato Margherita-type slice which had a nice thin crust and was pretty big. The price was so bad, either. If I'm in the area, I would definitely return. I will be fair and truthful in this review. I want to start with the positives. Delivery in fair time. The mini pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms was average +. Thin crust cooked with a perfect doneness on the crust. As for the negatives. Chicken parm hero what a disaster. Was on some fake Italian white bread. Overly sauced and cheesed. So much tasteless mozzarella and under seasoned tomato sauce. When I order a chicken parm I'm Expecting it to be on fresh brick oven baked bread. This chicken was under seasoned and one of the cutlets was a very tough rubbery piece I had no choice to throw in the garbage. Spaghetti with meat sauce was dry spaghetti with barely no sauce at all. It was topped with poorly seasoned ground beef and a load of fake processed mozzarella which basically made it into a pasta Parmesan. Why would you dredge it so much mozzarella? I ordered pasta with meat sauce not a pasta parmigiana. The Stromboli was made with processed American cheese inside. I've never seen a Stromboli with yellow cheese. It was basically a ham and cheese with canned mushrooms peppers and onions. Not even a Complementary marinara on the side. The house salad had a ton of huge thick white onions all over it. If there is going to be onions on a salad please do it with red and had them finally sliced. The white onion smell was so over powering. Maybe walking down the street and you want a quick slice on the run I could recommend. To order anything else besides a SLICE of pizza I would highly recommended to stay away. read more

During a vacation to NYC, after an exhausting day we decided just to get some takeout. I was in a pizza mood and La Nostra happened to be just a few blocks away. I ordered a stromboli and a piece of stuffed pizza, as well as garlic knots. My wife had gotten some random stuff to eat earlier so it was just for me. What a mistake!! I ordered way too much for one person. The fact it was $13.07 after tax, right in NYC, had me fooled. This was way too much. I ate half the stromboli, half the stuffed pizza, and a single garlic knot and I could barely move afterward. It was all delicious, especially the garlic knots. For the quality, I'd give it four stars. For value, I'd give it eight stars, but since five is the max, it'll have to do. Very prompt service when I picked it up, too! read more

Many businesses are doing their best but when you are being shamed and don't know it, you should be Enlightened. I visited this pizzeria and ordered two penne dishes one chicken Alfredo and one shrimp Alfredo with spinach that was a additional fee for spinach at least that's what I thought when I arrived home to find no spinach in my order so I go back and they tell me that I was charged for the sauce so it's two dollars and every additional toppings that's outrageous. Plain penne is just thirteen dollars also ridiculous. So I just asked for my money back went to DOMINOS and got the same thang better, cheaper and more additional toppings than this pizzeria and better service. This pizzeria is the worst and I would never return and/are recommended anyone else. read more
