Bobae is a Chinese Korean concept that replaced the Korean bar in Factoria. Pulled up just after 6PM on a Friday night and was seated immediately at a 4 top; it didn't look like a wait ever built up the whole time we were there. Parking is in the shared lot with QFC and is super easy to find. Overall, food was pretty tasty with some dishes that outshine Paik's and the serving sizes are MASSIVE. Great option for Korean Chinese food. Cream Jjamppong (4.25/5): My favorite dish of the night. The cream adds a super luscious mouthfeel to the broth as a backdrop to bouncy, thick noodles. Jjamppong (3.75/5): Not quite as good as the fusion version. Same nice quality noodles, generous amount of seafood, but the broth was just a bit one note. Jjajangmyeon (3.5/5): This classic is unfortunately not my favorite here. There was pretty much no meat and there wasn't a smoky flavor to the black bean sauce that I was looking for. Once again, nice noodles though. Tangsuyuk (4.25/5): I actually think Bobae's version is better than Paik's; much better ratio of meat to batter. Comes out piping hot, crunchy, and the meat isn't overcooked. Thick sweet and sour sauce exactly as you expect. Kkanpunggi (4.25/5): Not my typical order, but came with the set and was incredible. Good kick of spice against the sweet and salty garlic flavors. Chicken could have been a touch more tender, but the sauce is to die for.

Feels like watching 80s K-dramas or even older, hehe.

I ordered two Jjajangmyuns, Tangsooyook, and fried Mandus for an appetizer. Everything I ordered definitely met my Korean-style Chinese food expectations. The Jjajangmyun, especially, was very good, with the right amount of veggies and meat, and the texture of the noodles and sauce were great. The portion was great, but I ordered one more Jjajangmyun because my son, who is a big fan of Jjajangmyun, needed another one. The only thing I would complain about is that their shortage of staff made the whole dining experience slow, and the portion of the Tangsooyook sauce was small. If they are pursuing retro Korean-style Tangsooyook, the sauce should have more fruit and veggie chunks with more than enough portion to eat in a pour-over style. Other than that, it was great, and I would definitely come back.

Wish I liked this spot more. I tried their jajangmyeon and their Sichuan tangsuyuk. The jajangmyeon was too bland for my liking and the sauce lacked flavor. However their Sichuan tangsuyuk saved the meal as this item was very addicting. Maybe next time I will try the jjampong.

Came with a party of 5 and got one of the dinner sets. This was definitely enough for 6-7 people. Everything was super tasty! I was a big fan of the creamy seafood noodles. Ordering was super easy on the iPad. We came on a Friday night and it was not busy at all. Towards the end of the meal though the vibes definitely are like a Pocha. Fun spot for dinner with friends!

This is a very well run restaurants. The foods are great, plemty of drinks option, service was fast and the vibe is great. Easy to order since it done via the tablet on your table. The portion are big too!! We came in for the Tangsuyuk but got jajangmyeon and the spicy chicken as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good noodle/korean food restaurant I suggest go early tho; it can get really busy on peak hours and weekend; and parking sucks in that parking lot in general.

Came here early on a Friday evening and got to see the place fill up over the course of my dinner. It seems to be a popular local spot for all ages, and I saw lots of families and groups having a meal here too. I got the classic combo for 2 people that included jajangmyeon, jjamppong (lots of seafood!), and tangsuyuk, as well as added on a pepper-fried yuringi. Honestly, the yuringi was the star of the meal but everything else was also yummy. Service was pretty good too despite them being busy. The food came out quickly, portions were large, our needs were checked on throughout the meal, and ordering was all done on the tableside tablet. I'll be back!

Bobae Noodle house is a great addition to the food options in the factoría area. There's a good amount of space and seating inside and it's been remodeled to have a real woody look. You get seated and there's a tablet provided at the table for you to look through the menu and order. You're even able to request the check at the end through the table which was convenient. The staff will still have to bring it to you but nice since you don't need to ask anyone for it. I would definitely come back and there are set meals for various groups. I would definitely say the portion sizes are on the smaller side but it would be enough to feed you. Personally I would go to Paiks but this is a good option if you're in the factoría area. Staff: nice (5/5) Sanitation: very clean (5/5) Black bean fried rice (5/5) I thought the black bean sauce was really good with the fried rice. There were a lot of different things included in the fried rice like shrimp which was a nice addition. Sweet and sour pork (3.5/5) The sweet and sour pork was decently crispy but the meat inside was really dry. The sauce was good too but a little bit on the tangy side. I might order this again but maybe it was the batch we got that was on the dry side.

Thankful that this place is in a plaza so there's ample amount of parking. In addition, I came here at about 6 so there wasn't much of a wait. The service was pretty quick and attentive after placing the order on the tablet. I would say the ambiance is what you would expect for a late night place - pretty lively and loud, especially since they close at midnight. The food itself was decent - the amount was enough to fill up two people with some leftovers and the price was about right. I would say that the chicken was alright - was surprised about the spice and then it was pretty sweet. The noodles were decent but I wish that they had more toppings to balance out the amount of noodles.

Welp Chi Chi is no more, but it has since been replaced by this noodle house, which keeps most if not all of the interior, lighting and vibe as Chi Chi itself. This time, the K-pop music isn't too loud, and there are a ton more people packed inside from our visit on a Friday evening from 6-7pm; people basically kept coming in and filling the tables on the half of the dining area closest to the main entrance. Since my party of 3 got here early, we got seated immediately. As with Chi Chi, you place your orders on a bulky tablet though the offerings are limited. We all got their noodle dishes, and for mines I got their bobae jjamppong. This one includes wooden ears, clams, pork and veggies (to name a few of the ingredients) all in a relatively spicy soup. This was quite hard to eat since it was slightly above the spicy levels I'm able to handle, but looking past that the whole dish was delicious and all the ingredients fitted in quite well. We also split a side of fried dumplings, which are your usual standard, nothing special but also a nice way to keep ourselves full. This palace actually works better than what Chi Chi was, and my whole group agreed that we loved our dishes! One of my friends got their creamy jjamppong, and my other friend got their jajangmyeon, and both were awesome according to them. We'd all come back here!

This is a very lively noodle shop with Korean music and neon lights decoration all over the store. We tried the premium combo for 4 and there were so much food we had leftovers for the next day. I liked the sweet and sour prawn dish, that was delicious. The noodles were chewy and not soggy. They also gave my kids so token for the claw machine which they loved!

We finally got the chance to try out bobae last night. Our verdict? It was what we thought it was: pretty ok hahaha. Giving it a 4/5 but it's probably more of a 3.5 tbh. Is it worth the hype? Probably not. Would I go out of my way or make a long drive to have it again? Probably not. With that said, food's good + the service is pretty great! We ended up getting their "2 person classic set" for $45, which includes an order of jjajangmyun, jjangpong, and tangsuyuk. - jjajangmyun 3.5/5 it's pretty good! Not the best I've had but definitely better than instant jjajang haha - jjangpong 3.5/5 my friend is the one who ate this one but that was his rating - tangsuyuk 4/5 this was our fav item on their menu. It was on par with tangsuyuk ive had at other chain restaurants IN korea.

This is a new place that took over Chi chi. Never got the chance to go there so not sure how much was redone. Went here for dinner one night and there was no wait for a table. Servers were very nice. You order on the tablet and there's pictures to help give a visual aid. We got the 2 person cream combo set of jjajangmyeon, cream Jjamppong, Tangsuyuk (half size). It was a ton of food for us two adults and kiddo. We ended up taking most of it home. I think it's well worth the value for the combo sets. Would definitely come back and try other things.

Very excited for a new Chinese/korean place! Came in on a Friday night for dinner and it was quite packed and loud. It's def a more casual vibe. Service was pretty fast tho, and ordering through the tablet was super convenient. My friend and I shared the jjajangmyeon and classic jjamppong. First of all, portions are really big. And prices are super reasonable. They provide radish and onion as side dishes as well. Both noodle dishes were really good. Jjajangmyeon was smooth savory and saucy. Noodles were satisfyingly chewy. The onions and cabbage added to the sweetness. One gripe is that the bits of pork were super dry and chewy. Jjamppong was also yummy. Definitely spicy, but a pretty good pain haha. They give quite a lot of seafood which was nice. But similar issue with the jjajangmyeon, pork was dry. Overall, a pretty good spot! The flavors really hit for me, though I would've enjoyed it a lot more if the pork was more tender. Also can't beat a less than 20 meal in this economy!

When I arrived, the restaurant was about 1/3 full. The place was pretty quiet and didn't seem very lively, but there were others that showed up after me so that seemed pretty promising. The server sat us down but didn't mention about the QR code on the table so I sat there for about a min or two before I noticed. The whole menu and ordering was done all on your phone for the whole table. Not very much interaction. We ordered the spicy BBQ chicken skewers, the stewed beef rib noodle soup, and the normal beef flank noodle soup. The order came out relatively fast. The spicy BBQ chicken skewer was not what I expected. I was expecting a skewer like a kabob, but I received a few skewers with what seems to be thin pieces of ground chicken. The flavor was alright, but the chicken was VERY dry, which made it hard to enjoy. My stewed beef rib noodle soup wasn't bad. I got it with normal sized noodles and some beef flank on the side. The noodles were fine, but the soup could've been warmer. I was expecting a hot bowl of soup. The flavor was lacking a little, but it became much better after I added some chili oil. The rib meat wasn't bad. It had a a couple bites that were a tad tough but the flavor was kinda there. Honestly the extra flank pieces I had were better. Much better overall and it was pretty tender. I didn't really try my friend's bowl, but she got her soup with wide noodles. They were a bit wider than she expected. She made note that her noodles did seem undercooked and they had a slight doughy chew to them. She said it would've been better if it was cooked a little longer. Overall I enjoyed my soup. There are some things I would change, but I think it was a good first experience for something I've never had before.

Xi'an Noodles seemed like a promising place for biang biang noodles in Bellevue. We went in for a…read moreweekend lunch, only to be terribly disappointed. This restaurant is mostly self service; there are two kiosks right in front for ordering and a table full of prefilled drink cups. I think the only upside to this restaurant is the free cups of mango tea, which are slightly sweetened and fruity. I wouldn't say they are very mango forward though. Hot Oil Biang Noodles ($13.99) - The biang biang noodles here aren't very good. They seem to be stretched somewhat, but then I feel like they take shortcuts. Instead of being almost completely stretched via bouncing the noodles on the table, they only stretch it probably half as much as normal, then they cut the dough lengthwise several times - this is why I can see multiple clear corner pieces in the noodle instead of it being relatively straight. They also don't care to make it consistent in thickness. This causes major issues because the thinner parts are soft and mushy while the thicker corners are doughy and slightly undercooked. I don't know how, but the noodles also clump together, so in some bites, I'm eating three strands of mushy noodles right on top of each other. The sauce here isn't much better. It's supposed to be aromatic, blistering hot oil mixed with chili/vinegar and aromatics poured directly on the noodles. The problems here are multifold. Firstly, they don't drain the noodles properly, resulting in an excessive amount of water diluting the sauce. Secondly, they use far too much vinegar, making the sauce overly acidic. The vinegar is by far the dominant flavor in the dish. While the dish seems like it will be spicy due to the red color oil, it's almost completely diluted out by the vinegar and noodle cooking water. The dish is basically not spicy at all due to these factors. (2/5) Spicy Cumin Lamb Biang Noodle Soup ($14.99) - This dish suffers from the same noodle issues as above, but the soup format improves some aspects slightly, but worsens other aspects. Since the soup is hot and the noodles are soaked in the broth, they soften more readily, so the soft portions are even more mushy than the "dry" noodle. The thicker portions are nice and bouncy though. The soup itself is relatively flavorful, slightly gamey, and tastes like it actually is a lamb bone broth, but it doesn't really have depth of flavor. Again, it's not really spicy at all. The lamb on top seems like thinly sliced hot pot lamb, pan fried until very dry. If not for the fact that the lamb is sliced thin, it would be extremely tough. It does have a nice fragrant cumin flavor though. (2/5) Those were the two worst bowls of noodles I've had in a long time. I wasn't particularly impressed with the noodles at the U District location of Xi'an Noodles either, but they were far better than these two steaming piles of excrement. Bathrooms - Two unisex room shared with Snowy Village. One was locked though

The space is small and a little narrow, so seating can be pretty limited. My parents and I were lucky enough to grab the last table, and we ordered 4 items: the dry noodle with scallion oil and braised pork chop, the secret dumplings, large wonton, and salty soy milk (dumplings and wonton aren't pictured). I was most curious and most disappointed by the scallion noodle and pork chop. The portion size seemed too small to justify its price point, and I felt the pork chop tasted dry. The noodles however, had a great flavor, so if I were to try the place again, I'd only go for the scallion oil noodles. The dumplings were amazing. They were a little pricey but worth the cost, and worth the restaurant name. The dumplings were larger than most dumpling places I've been to, and the meat and soup inside were super flavorful. The wontons were also good, though it can't beat the pan fried dumplings. The salty soy milk was a very unique experience- it was thicker, rich and flavorful than other salty soy milk soups that I'm used to. It almost has an umami, seafood-ish taste to it. Though I'm not a big fan of soy milk, I enjoyed this dish more than expected! After our meal, we got to choose some magnets to take home, which was a creative and sweet gift. For the overall price point, I don't think I'd be coming here regularly for a meal. I may drop by for choice items like the pan fried dumplings!

From the moment you walk in, the cultural atmosphere stands out--many of the patrons are Asian, and on my visit, a few were even dressed in traditional garments, which added a vibrant, lived-in feel to the space. It's the kind of detail you can't manufacture, and it speaks volumes about the restaurant's credibility within the community. The interior itself is fairly average--nothing particularly modern or upscale--but it doesn't detract from the experience. If anything, it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the food. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. There were only two servers handling the floor, and they were clearly stretched thin. Ordering is done digitally, which helps streamline things, but you can still feel the strain during peak times. That said, the food started arriving quickly--our tofu noodle dish came out almost immediately, while the beef dish lagged behind a bit. Presentation leans traditional in a charming way. The plates and chopsticks have that classic, no-frills aesthetic that complements the overall vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. First, a word of caution: spice levels here are no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, you'll want to dial it down. But if you can handle it, the flavors are absolutely worth it--rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The tofu was exceptionally soft, almost silky, and clearly freshly prepared. The noodles matched that texture perfectly--tender, well-cooked, and comforting. Pricing is another strong point. For the quality and portion sizes, it's very reasonable, making it an easy spot to revisit without hesitation. Overall, Nine Noodles is a great pick if you're looking for authentic flavors, a culturally immersive atmosphere, and solid value. It's not about fancy decor or polished service--it's about good, honest food. I'd definitely come back.

So the food starts coming out as expected which was good. Then the appetizers got stuck in prep. Which I was like ok that happens it's busy and they might be understaffed. But then I had to ask for the drinks so already it's off to a bad start. The drinks came and felt watered down. So let's talk about the food real quick. Its ok. But after the third time coming I have noticed a decrease in the quality of the paired dishes and the amount you get. Also there was a strong feeling of over teasing with a lack luster flavor profile. So to add the final straw, we were all done and had to wait 15 minutes for the last side dish to come. I tried getting it canceled or get some credit but the chaser said no and so we waited. Could have been much better in all aspect.

It's always busy around mealtimes, but luckily there are plenty of seats, and we rarely have to wait. We also order takeout from here pretty often. For our most recent order, we got two personal combos (main + appetizer + drink) through a Chinese app, which frequently has discounts. I'm a big fan of their takeout containers--they keep the noodles and soup nicely separated. The takeout bag is super sturdy, and the popcorn chicken has just the right amount of spice to really hit the spot. That said, I'd still recommend dining in, because the food is easily about three times better. I also think the portion of popcorn chicken is more generous when you dine in. Plus, if you finish the soup, you'll be very full. My go-to order is the fatty beef tomato soup with rice (I know, I know--it's a noodle place, but I like it better with rice). My husband always gets the original Yunnan rice noodle. We've tried the golden soup version, but it's just not as good. The prices are reasonable... well, reasonable for Bellevue .

The wait time for food is longer, the servers are cold and careless. The last visit was disappointing because of the extremely cold attitude of the servers. They made me feel I came to beg for food.

First thing I noticed when I looked at the menu was that the prices are very LA, but before you let that deter you, hear me out: the portion sizes are significantly larger than what you'd get for the same price back home. So in terms of value, you're actually getting a much better deal out here in Redmond. One thing that genuinely caught me off guard; they let me bring my puppy. If you're from LA or the 626, you already know that's basically unheard of. Redmond, Washington is on a whole different level when it comes to being pet friendly, and I loved every second of it. As for the food, it was great overall. The mala wasn't too numbing, which I appreciated, it had just enough kick without overwhelming everything else. The garlic a-choy was perfect, honestly no notes. The braised pork belly was good but I wished it was a touch softer, and I personally felt like my dishes could've used a little more salt or soy sauce, but that's an easy fix and purely personal preference. Would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.
