    Various baked good

Dahlia is amazing. I would say their baked goods are slightly more exotic than maybe a "traditional" baseline but in the best way. From French onion danishes to strawberry rhubarb bear claw to yuzu matcha croissant....theres a high chance you will get something here you've never had (or heard of before). I didn't even think these would be possible to make! Even the more traditional items like ham and cheese croissants are so much better than what you would find at let's say a groccery story deli. Very full of stuffing and flavor and toppings. I can't really speak on the lunch as I have only tried the baked goods (so far) but am a huge fan and am glad they moved into Minneapolis.

Best breakfast sandwich in the twin cities

This is a review for their brick and mortar store. I've been to their pop-ups, too. Wow. I knew Dahlia was good but hot dang. They've dethroned (I'm so sorry, love y'all) Marty's Deli for me for the best breakfast sandwich in town. Add bacon! I've been thinking about it since I had it and I'm so bummed they're not open today, otherwise I'd be driving to NE to get another one. I also love that you can get their divine English muffins to go! In addition to this insane breakfast sandwich we also tried a yuzu (and lemon?) double baked croissant topped with meringue, a sour dough croissant and a pistachio swirl thing. The sour dough croissant is a perfect croissant. No notes. I do not say that lightly... it may be my favorite plan croissant in the cities now... and I've eaten them all lol. The pistachio swirl thing was super good. My friend loved it. I liked it. The lemon/yuzu thing wasn't bad but was a little over baked. In terms of seating, I'd recommend anticipating takeout and being happily surprised if you get a seat at one of the few tables. It is super cute in there. Everything is a little pricier but service is included so I was totally fine with that. Parking lot in the back - 2 hour limit. LOVED THIS PLACE.

Stopped by on my way to work to grab a sandwich and some matcha. I got the Italian and it was delicious and also much more filling than I had expected. The matcha is really creamy and not overly sweet, which I liked. Cute space with limited seating. The staff were all really kind too. I'll definitely come back for pastries another time.

I've tried Dahlia at 2 different pop up spots two weeks in a row and they have not disappointed ! Super tasty pastries. My favorite so far was the blondie bunch (pastry wrapped around a blondie and filled with delicious caramel) and I'm going to dream about it for awhile now. At the first pop up we had a collaboration (with Saturday Dumpling Company) egg sandwich that was spectacular. Some other highlights have been the 5-spice pumpkin croissant, and the Carmel morning bun (which I think is one of the few regular menu items I have tried) The only thing that would make this place better is if they had their own space that I could buy the items fresh out of the oven!

The line on a Sunday around noon, moved quickly (about 20 minutes later there was no line, so who knows)

We went to Dahlia on a Sunday around noon. There was a bit of a line, but it moved pretty quickly. Indoor seating is limited with only four tables, but there is more seating outside when the weather is nicer. The options are unique, but all sounded like good options. Side note, their website is updated with the current menu options including flavors of the month. There is no tipping required, though there was still a tip jar by the register. The prices are high, I am sure in part because of the no tipping policy and the location, but still higher than one would expect. Reviews on what we ate; Banana Cream Pie Croissant - large croissant, a little over baked for my preference which made it extra crumbly and made a mess. The filling was good, tasted like commercial banana cream pie filling. The croissant was cut vertically to be filled, rather than horizontally, so there was only filling when you got to the middle. Overall good, but could be better. Banana Croissant Cinnamon Roll - very good. Lots of cinnamon which is important to me, The banana is more subtle, but had real banana flavor, not artificial. English Muffin Sandwich, add Pork Shoulder Bacon - very good. Nice thick slab of eggs, seemed like about three eggs? Could be two, but seemed like more. The meat was really good, highly recommend adding it. The English muffin was not a standard one like you get at the grocery store, they looked housemade and were much better and tasted fresh. Scotcharoo Mocha - very good. You could actually taste the Scotcharoo flavor! I love Scotcharoos and have ordered that mocha elsewhere only to be disappointed because of the lack of flavor, but they s was excellent! It was, of course, very, very sweet. Latte with extra espresso - the person taking the order failed to add the extra espresso, bit that got taken care of later. They don't take cash at all, so be prepared for another form of payment. But then, when you are paying about $60 for three croissants and two cups of coffee, using credit is reasonable.

I am so excited that Dahlia finally has a brick and mortar location! We have been following Dahlia's pop up locations for years and now they are sharing a space with MN Nice Cream in Northeast Minneapolis. Their pastries are amazing. Honestly some of the best I've ever had and they often showcase a new weekly special. They sell out fast so get there early and don't let the line scare you away because it is worth it! The sandwiches are also super good!! They are large and worth every penny!

Definitely some of the top pastries in the area! They have a lot of fun specials every week. Easy online preordering system and I like that they pop up in different places around the cities. So so worth checking them out.

Salted Carmel and Sweet Corn Danish

Edit: this is a combo if times I've been to dahlia, not one specific time. Omggg, why have I waited so long to try Dahlia!! Well because I'm lazy in the morning... Finally made it to Dahlia to try some pastries. I choose salted Carmel sweet corn danish and the sour cherry and cream cheese swirl. I was very interested in the corn and salted Carmel combo and i love cherries. I've also tried the BLT Danish. First off, all pastries were huge and filling. The cherry cream danish was my fave and I look forward to the cherry bush I just planted! The salted corn and Carmel danish was also executed well, the perfect ratio to corn, salted Carmel and danish! The BLT danish - The instagram post noted the consumer to "trust us" regarding the silly lettuce cream. Of course I would trust Dahlia and I'm glad I did! again, the ratios of this pastry were perfect. You can tell the head pastry chef really had a knack for this. I recommend Dahlia because the service is always great, the people who check you out are always so kind and happy to be sharing their gift.

First, I love the pastries you can buy to-go. This review though is for their cooking class. Be…read moreaware that you will be seated with a group of 6 and you'll have to work with them to decide who does what tasks, since not everyone will get to try making everything. I attended solo but luckily really liked the group I was assigned to. We wanted everyone to work on things they enjoy and allowed everyone to try some parts of the important tasks (making pasta and pastry dough). Your enjoyment might really depend on what your group is like. You can buy wine and beer to drink while you take the class, and those were reasonably priced I thought! $9 for a glass of wine and I think $8 for beer. The class was chaotic since we were making three courses and things needed to be done at different times, but the chaos felt like how it really is in a kitchen making multi course menus, so that didn't bother me! The assistants were great and helped us stay on track and helped if we were struggling with anything. I can't say I learned much from the class (which is why I only gave 4 stars), but I sure had a lot of fun!

Living in the North Loop, Cooks Bellecour was hands-down our most visited spot--and for good…read morereason! This place is a slice of French heaven right in Minneapolis. Their pastries? Pure magic. The chocolate almond croissant is next level--flaky, buttery, and packed with rich, decadent flavor. And don't even get me started on the breakfast sandwiches--they're gourmet-level masterpieces. Every bite is perfection. The vibe & service here is warm and inviting, with the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries filling the air. Whether you're grabbing a coffee, treating yourself to a pastry, or diving into one of their soups or salads, this place nails it every time. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Cooks Bellecour is an absolute gem!
